I know there is a charge for over 2 adults in a room, but does that apply to a 2br villa? If there is a charge does anyone know what it is? We will be paying rack and not renting.

TIA

Not to worry, a 2 bedroom DVC villa sleeps eight. :thumbsup2 You pay per villa, not per occupant, so the price will be the same regardless of whether you have two or eight people staying in the villa.

Oh, please consider renting instead of rack rates! For example, a 2BR at BCV 6/11 - 6/16 would cost you $7,331.40 (including tax).

That same room is only 200 points. So even at $15/point (and most rental prices are well below that), it would only be $3000 to rent. That's a $4331.40 savings just think what you could do with an extra $4k at the parks!

Even including a weekend (say 6/9-6/14) it's only 264 points (still over $3k savings at $15 a point, $4.6k at $10/pt!)

Renting is such a bargain. Even though you have to pay up front, those savings really make it worth while.

I agree. If you know about renting, there would be no reason to pay rack rate if you can find someone to rent you the points. No need throwing away all that good money for the exact same product!

I'm another one of those that says you should definitley rent. Why throw away your hard earned money?

Better find out when the OP's ressie is before you tell him to rent. If it's in the next few weeks, at the BWV during Food & Wine, early in December or over the holidays, paying for the room may be the only way to get that reservation.

If its at those times, even cash may not get you those rooms!

Still, I really think anyone seriously looking at rack rates at DVC should investigate renting first. Heck, eben reserve for rack and then cancel if you find a rental.

Renting will get you hooked, I did and now own.
