Hi All
If anybody has the answers to the following questions, I would be grateful:-

I am thinking of having a 10.00am ceremony at SBP followed by brunch at (hopefully) St James' Room. I would not want a full bar service that early in the morning but would like to serve Mimosas (which we in the UK call Buck's Fizz!!) but I understand Disney charges a lot for these. Any idea how much each one is?

Given that we will not be providing a full bar service at the brunch, we would like to provide a full BOC bar at the Illuminations Dessert Party in the evening. Is this possible?

The information on venues for DPs seems to suggest that if you are a party of 10 or less you can use Japan, but for the other venues, (Morocco, Italy etc) ther seems to be a minimum of 20 guests. We will likely be a party of between 11 and 16. Which venues will be available to us? I understand that a 'small party fee' can be charged. How much will this be, and will we be charged it for both the DP and the St James' Room brunch reception, or will we just have to meet the F&B minimum for the reception (? $500.00)?

If we charter a minivan to transport guests from their resorts to backstage at Epcot for the DP, will we still need to pay an event guide and if so, how much is the fee? Is this fee liable for tax and service charges? For transporting guests from resort to Epcot for the DP and then back to their resort, would we get away with a 3 hour charter or would a 4 hour charter be needed (all guests will be on-site)

Given that with two private dining events planned, we will be obliged to meet the new Escape minimum expenditure of $7,500.00, I am confused as what counts towards this. I know things like for extra floral, decorations, food and drinks etc count towards the minimum, but do things like transport, bar tender fees, charges for I-pod setups, DP venue fees and set up fees count towards the minimum?

Thanks for any answers you may have!!! I am trying to do a very rough budget guide (for saving purposes!!!) and keep throwing up queries.

We had an early ceremony too, and just had mimosas. It worked out perfect. We had to pay I believe $100 for the bartender, and then it was about $8.25 a person. This was for Dec. 2009. We also did provided the full bar BOC for the dessert party, so I know that one is possible. I'm not sure about the venue stuff, and I'm not positive if you'll need the event guide, but if you do, you'll need one for every 50 people there. For some reason I can't find the cost of the event guide, but for some reason I'm thinking the first one was included and if you needed more than that it would cost you, but please don't quote me on that, I could be way off!! Hopefully some of this helps!

Good luck with the planning!

Thank you
So you had to pay for the bar tender at the reception even though you were only serving mimosas? That's a bit annoying!!!

Small party fee is $50 I had to pay if for both my reception and DP.

Thank you

They wont charge you for the bartender if you spend $500 or more in drinks. If you spend that then the fee is returned. You have to pay it upfront.

Last week I was told the minimum for the st james room is $1000.

In regard, to your minimum question I think it works the same way as wishes.

Could you not add orange juice to your champagne toast that comes with the escape package to avoid the bartender cost?

Thank you
It's a good idea to just add OJ to the champagne!!!! I don't know why I didn't think of it myself!! I understand that the champagne supplied is rather dry so adding the juice might just be a good idea!!
Bummer about the minimum for St James' being $1000.00 now!! Is this also for early events? I know that events ending after 4.00pm have higher minimums. If it is $1000.00 it is a bit of a problem for me. Disney are really making it very difficult for brides with small guest lists, which is quite a few brides from overseas!!

This was offered to me as a lunch reception for $1000, your best off contacting your planner mine has been very helpful in finding a location, like you were only relatively small group. In the end we went with hiring out the flying fish cafe as we wanted a plated meal and we really liked the decor.

If the F&B minimum is $1000.00 at the St James Room for a Brunch reception, then I think it is the same as the Attic (those in the know, please correct me if I am wrong!!) and in some ways, I would rather have that!! At least it needs no decorating, but I am not sure whether they allow things like the crepe making station at the Attic and this is something I would really like!! Has anybody done a brunch at the Attic with the crepe or egg cookery station?
