Don't mention Xmas yet!! I haven't even thought of DS's bday in 2 weeks...yikes! he's going to be 13!

Ok, there's a thread about the first day of school. Everyone is sad their kids are gone. Is there something wrong with me that I almost did a little dance when my 3 boys got on the bus this morning??

I love them dearly, but I'm enjoying having my kitchen floor stay clean for more than 2 minutes, no one is telling me their friends aren't home and they're soooo bored, and I can even get on the computer!

I'm one who misses them. I complained how annoying they were when there were home, with all their bickering and such. But now, my house is too quiet and I miss them.
I'm weird, I know. LOL

Mine had started to bicker all the time...a quiet house was a nice thing this morning. Altho, they have Friday and Monday off, so it's short lived!

There's nothing wrong with you I felt the same way when mine were in elementary school and I wasn't even home.
They're in high school now so between sleeping late for one and the older one working full time it's been a easy summer.

Beth you have to find something you enjoy doing and you won't miss them so much ! I missed mine at first when they were younger but then I realized all the things I can do without them being around
