Moral Dilema - Coke Rewards

I think it was end of Nov or beginning of Dec that Coke Rewards had a bunch of great gift cards available. I spent 500 points on a Best Buy card. A week or so later I was wondering when it might arrive so I logged into my account and discovered an issue. I thought that they would ship the gift card via Fedex or UPS when actually they ship it USPS. The address listed in my account was my physical address, not my PO Box.

So, I contacted Coke Rewards to let them know and ask if there was anything I could do figuring that the Post Office would return the gift card to them since the address was wrong.

Last week the Best Buy card showed up in my mail box. The post office figured out where I was and delivered it to me even though the address was wrong.

Just now I received a followup e-mail to my original one. It basically said sorry that they could not resend the gift card, but that they would refund my points. I checked my account and they are already back there.

I sent a reply e-mail saying that I had received the gift card and that there was no need to refund my points. I don't think that anyone will get it though since it looks like a generic e-mail account.

So, if you have read this far, what do you think I should do? It feels wrong just to keep the points. :confused3

is there a "gift" reward - like giving to Make A Wish?? or Toys for Tots??
I would give that many points to one of those & not worry with it

I would give it a little time, they might get the email and deduct the points. If they don't then giving them as a gift is a good idea.

Did you double check the gift card to make sure that it's still good? If they keep a record of the card numbers that are sent, they may have voided the gift card.

Thanks for the replies. I love the idea of gifting the points. I think I'll wait a bit to make sure that they don't get the e-mail and deduct them and then I will do that.

I already used the Best Buy gift card the day before Christmas. Honestly, I had sort of forgotten that I had sent the first e-mail with all the holiday stuff happening.
