..pumba, the "wilds"...have a dyanmic of all their own.
hunting..isn't the same as killing...."protecting"...the environment
thru apprication.....
...

, when we went to penn. , there were like 17...dead deer,
on the road side. talk about saddness....& waste. we have people
starving...and food rottening. deer are a food source...as all
animals..now chosing whats one devours, is of personal source...
however, our body needs not only tolerate meat sources but benefit
from them...& thats where i make the connections. killing to be killing,
is against my moral values....on many fronts. * i am of strong beliefs,
people [like all life sources]..are connected to the "lands" of their
ancestors. anything we benefit from, are connected to our obligations-
like passing on traditions/educating the core values, & protecting
the environment..and its dedicate eco-systems. { i haven't taken an
animal..in 3 years but i am not saying that is good.}...do animals have
mental health?....i would say yes, * because they have feelings, but
not on our level...& i "feel"..they are part of our circle of life,
sneaking in our backyards...and even crawling all over our yards.
so are you connected? ..to the world around you? ....to the lving things
lving wihtin your eyesight?....* ometimes..just being in awe ..is a reflection
of respect..( coming from understanding their purpose)
why throw in the mental health..prespective? ...maybe not exactly the
reason one might think..[ by my focus points]...the value of animal life
isn't address in religion other then offerings..but there are some reverence
toward our ways of being. "predators...come & goes...by supply/demands
to sustain their existance." if we destroy the life cycles of those meeting
our physical..emotional needs..than we will become extinct?
that's one of my "beef " with religions...placing "us" above the circle of
life..when in reality, we are only a part of . * being on top, gives us the
highest expectations...but does not remove us from "inherit"..obligations.
..our rights are connected to our responsibilites. ..to preserve and protect
....the things making up our existence....so our future generations will
enjoy...so on/so on.
sooo, in my world...i often refer to alot of self evidence, thinking. one's rights,
end when one begins to hurt another physical/emotional well being. how?
when they inform you. therefore, killing will be the highest violation...or
taking away life. however, nature has rely on killing as a check & balance
process. because this world is infinite, and there are limited resources to
meet life demands..[ & all its wonders...* like those pumba were lucky to
have experienced...moose stroy & all]. where mankind get things muddle
all up..is in the power of killing, versus the responsiblity of providing
care.
...again, even in nature..there somthing very special...in recognizing the
power, setting up human life...and all the supporting life forms....for
our on going existance...and making....all the syles...so our resources
can be....recylced...dust to dust. holy in~deeds,

.where we
chose to do the right things or not...we are not in control or as great as
we intend others to see us.
worst then death...is waste. taking away the meanings for existing,
produces saddness. * working years in intensive care...drove this point
home. [ give your family/friends good resons to remember you..and
you will never be forgotten]. so is there a reverse? killing to hurt..is a
waste..and take away a person values for living.
waste, those dead deer..on the side of the road..made me

. for
the losses human kind suffered. deer are not meant to be killed by cars.
though..hunters places too much enphases [me included] on the antlers,
do not serve their purposes....directly,
deer.. are for supplying nutrition back into a support system so their
future can be secured and protected...from diseases, starvation &
the other lil'critters needing the same food sources. and since i benefit
from hunting ....i am very protective ..of the lands..under my care.
i plant food plots, apple trees, and monitor for poachers. i

all
the interacting/dyanmics...that animals live life. while it is sad..to see
an hawk/eagle...swoops down and pick off..a "bawling'' squirrel...it is
also a magnificent process; and values for living life. all life. just taking
a gun into the woods...wil not accomplished this...for it must be shared,
and experienced.
killing to be killing...has no values to me because there isn't nothing to
remember. except taking away the values for life. very similar like
hititing a deer with your car.
* the benefit of seeking those with biggest antlers..& the largest doe's...
are leaving the bambi free to grow up...hunting...serves other necessary
purposes..like keeping their instincts sharp..ps, if you think hunting is
anything like on tv...is a misconception..deer are smart, and very hard
to kill...under the best conditions. they are not to be pets...instead a
part of the wild...to be part of a bigger & amzing eco system..,working
together. one in which is..awe inspiring..& needing our protection~ for
our own benefits. ending up on the side of the road...in a pile, is not
their intended purpose as it is sooo terrible. "hunting" , should makes what
we appricate in their behaviors...as we try to chose the meanings for
our life. to me, "the taming"..or captivity ( excluding zoos ) of wild animals
is jsut as desructive as..killing to kill.
one of my favorite deer stories..was attempting to take a magifiicent buck.
darn him!...well one day, i saw what i thought a racoon climbing a tree..
it was him ....eating leaves..later i shot him....and though his rack, had
shrunk..from old age.....i still had him mounted...interesting, it was "his"
eating leaves...that placed him in a vulernable position...& destiny. this may
seem sad..but actually a very good ending..rather than starving to death.
first, we spent years together & this cat & mouse game. then, after
taking him..there was something remarkable...he had no teeth..@ all.
he could no longer eat acrons..or corn. his body, being of old age...
would not have meet his winter needs. but what a great deer he had
been...& still had the biggest neck..ever. every time , i see his "mug
shot'...i think about the differnt tmes "seeing" how proud he was....
controlling his part of the woods...he was meant not to be forgotten.
pumba..hunting has been a major part of my life...for its values to
life and all the above reasons. i don't like poachers..the same of
those abusing children...just because one can take advantage of
another..does not give one the right. thats because our rights
always have responsibilites connected to them. and if you are a
victim..it isn't your fault, that one was mean to you....the blame
is self evident.

, i like your stories!
