I made it home a little before 7:00. Took a while to get settled in, start the and have dinner before firing up the laptop. I had a little scare - the screen was all funky when it first came on I was a little afraid that it wasn't going to wake up!!!

Whoever mentioned them, what are Painters pants?

I decided to take my car in for an oil change today, even though I am busy as heck. My Maint Req'd light is still on, but at least I feel better that the engine won't die any moment.

Moo, does that mean you will be home tonight?

It was pretty darn GOOG, BN! It was nice to just hang out with my daughter. If we hadn't had the snafu with our Outer Banks hotel ressie Friday night, it might have rated as spectacular! But I think my DH is secretly happy we didn't have a beach day.

Live and learn. I will plan better next time and double check my hotel arrangements. I sure would love to be able to afford to rent a house on the beach there for a week. Beau coup bucks, I'm sure. It would be great to be able to take food and grill on the deck so as not to have to battled the crowded restaurants. We were smart and had dinner early our second night. The crab dip and scallops that I had that night were amazing!!!

And how was your trip? Did your daughter do well with her competition?! I sure hope so. We need some pictures! (I should talk - we didn't take many.)

I think I'm going to call it a night. During the ride home, I seem to have pinched a nerve in my hip, so I'm going to try putting some heat on it (which is not too appealing given how warm it is tonight)!

Guess I'll go to my room and crank the AC on high.

OHHHH I just bout a 5 disc Disney Compilation box set!!!! It is sooo fabulous!!!

No big news here that I can remember, been pretty dang slow here. Summer doldrums, lots of people out of town. I had 2 days of deep self-pity, but i think im ok now (dang work, dang boss without B****) But I think im ok now.

It's going to be 92 today, which is pretty hot for NY. We broke down and put in a window aircondition we had stored in the garage/barn since we moved here. It's the humidity that's the killer.

I have lots to do only I can't find my list or my calendar. So it is play day.... right?

Wrong! Company is coming Friday and EVERY room still has boxes and misc in it. Also the laundry is calling my name. Or maybe it is calling for BabyNurse? either way I am going to shove it in the washing machine to shut it up.

Also my internet connection seems to be a little flaky this am and in the all day geekfest yesterday I forgot to have them check my email... it keeps giving me a password error???? I guess I'll call tech support AGAIN.

I'll check back later to see what all my internet fiends are up to....

I am at the library again. Slept in this morning. My alarm didn't go off and my internal clock was off by a half hour.

So we rushed out the door this morning.

Marita -- sounds like I am haunting you...

Twinkie-- you are one busy girl. Company in your new house aready. Just say the boxes are end tables or night stands.

Babynurse -- that Cowgirl isn't mean. She is just darn good at games and trivia.

Kay-- get central air it is much better. I don't know how we lived with out it for years.

Well better let the kids have the computers. They are hoovering again.

Well home for lunch and now we are going out again for the afternoon.

We are going to Pirates and the Trail. The kids get to look for treasure and do a craft. It is a free activity so I hope it isn't to busy.

Then we are off to baseball tonight.
