Sandy, hope you find some work soon

Somehow I squandered the weekend except for work I didnt need to do. So tomorrow I have to do shopping for potluck on Friday, get nails done, make dinner, do laundry, and try to do more work for a 1pm meeting on Tuesday, UGHHHH!

Did I mention I hate this new job that I didnt ask for?

I'm headed to bed but I just wanted to thank y'all for your kind words to me. They were very encouraging. :grouphug:

Mainly though, I would like to offer hugs and prayers to the whole Celery family. When it rains it pours, or so it seems. I'll be thinking about you guys. Keep us updated on the situation.

Night everyone. Pleasant dreams. :wizard:

Cel and CelMama - Sending prayers for your family :grouphug:

Nabbie - I'll bet the kids are happy to have Buddy back!!! Hope he got over his shyness fast. I'm sure it's much quieter at Grandpa and Grandma's!

Hubby and I went to see the Star Trek exhibit at the Detroit Science Center today. It was interesting to see the models of the ships from the various shows and movies - so much detail on them! And the costumes were cool to see too. It always amazes me to see how small so many of the actors and actresses must be to fit into those costumes. They had a mock-up of the original Enterprise bridge, so I encouraged Don to have his photo taken in the Captain's chair. They charge an arm and a leg there for a photo, just like at WDW

For all you sports fans, we drove by Comerica Park where the Tigers play and Ford Field where the Lions play. They're pretty close together. Downtown Detroit has been refurbished quite a bit, but there's still plenty of blight down there. I tried to talk Hubby into stopping for a Coney dog, but he's not too fond of being in big cities!

Marita - Relaxing is what Labor Day weekend is all about :) And BBQing. I managed to turn half of my chicken/spinach/mozzarella sausages into charcoal tonight :lmao:

they didn't keep alli at the hospital - they released her.
all we can figure is since her memory came back so soon, they figured she can wait to see the doctor tomorrow.
I guess they kept jamie for two days because it took him awhile to start coming back.

she seems fine - she's just worried she won't get to ride some rides on our trip. :lmao:

I forgot to say - moo, I'm a star trek fan and that sounds boring!
although I'd like to see the costumes.
and have my picture taken in jean luc's chair!
but not if it was too expensive.

Quiet here today, hope that means everyone is enjoying the long weekend.

Beautiful weather we are having too. I just came back from the water park with the Hannah and her friend. Nicholas has been gone most of the day. Thought they would sleep in today but they didn't want to miss time outside on their last day.

Celery-- glad she got to go home. Hope both your brother and sister find out what is wrong.

Cel - That sure wasn't the most exciting exhibit for me to see, but I figured it was something kind of different to do. They didn't have Captain Picard's chair, but they did have a few things from that show - a mock-up of the living quarters on that ship.

Glad to hear that your sister was released from the hospital. Hope she doesn't have any restrictions for your Disney trip.

Nabbie - It was kind of an ugly day here today :( But that made it a good day for vegging inside. I did manage to get out and pick up some groceries this evening though.

School starts here in Michigan tomorrow, so I'm sure some of my coworkers will be happy campers, LOL :woohoo:

came to say goodbye

Cel......prayers for you and your family......this is the pitts ......hope all is okey now..

marita I will definitely wave.....so watch out......cause here I come

we leave in a jet plane at six thirty am and arrive in orlando at twelve.......so hugs to you all

Pumba-- Safe travels, I know you will have a great time!!!!

Moo-- Sorry about the crappy weather. Suppose to be nice for the next few days. Warm for the kids to go back.

We measured the kids tonight to see how tall they will be going into their grades. Have a school book to record this stuff. Nicholas grow 4 inches since last Sept. He is now 5'8 almost 5'9 He grow almost 2 inches since his birthday in May. :scared1: Hannah grow 3 inches and is now 4'4.

It was cute watching her getting her stuff ready in her backpack. Nicholas we had to make him check that he had everything. :sad2: They are like night and day.

Pumba, guess I missed you, Hope you have a great trip.

Nabbie, too bad about your siggie! I noticed the pic on page 1 of this thread is gone too. I never thought you could lose pics saved on photobucket, scary thought, I should back them up.

Cel, great about your sis getting released

I dread work tomorrow, that's all I have to say about that.

I changed my mind about potluck on Friday, think I will just hit up Publix for something. Fudge brownies or a cake or something. I need to look at the sign-up sheet at work tomorrow. Unless I get really sick

So I got the pink yarn for the baby blanket yesterday, but I couldn't get a hang of the pattern, so I am improvising.

I finished rolling my bittersweet cognac truffles tonight, they are not bad really now that I am used to them. But still not going to make them again. You can buy better

You should have told me you were heading our way! It would have been great to see you again. The Downtown area is very nice, they have done so much to improve it and to make it more "safe". Maybe next time.

First day of school over here! Two in middle school one just starting Kindergarten. Kinda sappy over it.

:banana: THE GUTTER GUYS ARE HERE!!!:banana:

Ok, now I don't have to worry about the gutter falling off and breaking DD or DS window anymore. Now it can rain all it wants too! :thumbsup2

NAB - The world of Boys. My DD had a report assigned over the holiday weekend. Well she did it on Saturday and finished up on Sunday to make sure it was done. Now my DS would have waited until last night to start. :headache: In fact my best friend's son called last night at 10:15 to ask what the topic was for the paper. I am sure they had a late night. :rolleyes1

CEL and CELMAMA - Prayers :littleangel:, hugs :grouphug: and pixie dust pixiedust: for all of you.

Since I was in the photobucket already here is my finished washroom in the basement.

Vacation2009and1stdayofschool058-1.jpg

This is my finished laundry room.

Vacation2009and1stdayofschool054.jpg

Hubby did all the touch up painting in the main room. Have to touch up around the new window down there and paint the storage/utility room floor before we can put in shelves for storage.

Wow the bathroom and laundry room look amazing! Hannah is all grown up now. :( She was so young back when I saw her.

Sorry, Mony! Since the trip was with my hubby, the thought never crossed my mind - he's usually too impatient for meets.

Nabbie - Cute back-to-school pics and the progress in the basement is impressive!!!

MommyP - I'll be at WDW in 10 days! Flying in on the 18th. Cel gets in on the 25th, so we have about a day of overlap.

Thanks I like the progress .

We bought the sink and mirror really cheap since it was a display model. Love the laundry tub. I might have gone for a longer upper cabinet in the laundry but I told my BIL I wanted to wash my hair in that big sink so he thought I would hit my head if it was lower.

I know I look at that picture and wonder too how she grow up so fast. Grade 4 came fast.

Nicholas came home and talked non stop about school. It surprised me since he went to school grumpy. He loves that he gets to change teachers, he has 6 in all. And the guy teachers to him are really cool acorrding to him. :lmao: Hope he is still happy as the days go by.

Cel and celmama: Continued prayers and pixie dust. You guys have been through alot.

Nab: Hannah looks so cute. She is stylin' that's for sho. I cant believe how big Nicholas looks.

Moo: Is hubby a Trekkie? Live long and prosper.

Pumba: Prolly won't see this, but have a good trip.

Marita: How's work? hehe

Allie: YAY FOR GUTTER GUYS!?!?!

Mony: First day of school is always a sad day for me. Do you need a kleenex?

MommyP: How's Elisabeth? ;)

Guess what? I had a dream about Michael Buble last night. Not THAT kind of a dream. (naughty people!!! i.e. TWINK, LYNT, PEEJ et company) More like he and I were bff's. He'd make a pretty ok bff. I think. But I prefer to stick to my real bff. I think. lol.

This sounds like something Hollywood would go crazy over. Did I mention she went to Vegas for a Star Trek convention a couple weeks back? She tries to act like she's cool, but she's really a dork.

What did the doctor have to say? Glad to hear everything seems okay. And I think that's perfectly legitimate to be worried about riding rides at Disney! :rotfl:

Okay, I know you're gone by now, but I hope you're having an amazing trip!! :dance3: We'll need some pictures and a synopsis when you get back!

Hope all the kiddos had a nice first day back.

:banana: THE GUTTER GUYS ARE HERE!!!:banana:
This made me laugh. And how were the gutter guys? ;)

Nab...I didn't want to quote your pictures because I didn't know if you were deleting. Your basement looks so fancy!! Count me as another one that thinks Hannah looks really grown up. I've seen quite a few little girls rockin the tie look this year. Is that the JoBros thing? Anyway, she looks perfectly cute! :cutie:

Just what have I done to loop myself into this category? Huh????:angel::angel:
p.s. excellent signature pic. Beachy.

I really don't have anything to report. Business as usual here today. I'm off to the store to buy baby cereal, which is apparently what mealworms eat. In case anyone was wondering. I was given a choice between mealworms and crayfish and I practically cried tears of joy when I was given the mealworms. That seems strange. Who would think a person would be thrilled to get mealworms? I guess I really am a freak.

Nab - they are all growed up - and beautiful!!

PJ - no controversy about the President's Speech??

Mony and Moo - you n eed to come down/over to Chicago!!

Alli - Glad the Gutter Boys are on the job!!

BBN - AWESOME!! :thumbsup2 Hope all is going goog at your job!! been thinking about you!!

Favor :littleangel: Please visit (well it may take a few days - right now she is hoping for people to subscribe to the thread)
