Just on Earth Day.... bummer. Guess I have to wait till next year. :rotfl:

Hey, I don't make the rules.

L...glad you had a nice weekend. I attract strange animals, what can I say? Psycho Cat is currently trying to earn my good graces back by looking cute. I daresay it's working.

Hi, my Windows crashed again on my laptop. This is so frustrating. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi and tell you all I'm thinking of you.

Its really hard to navigate from the phone.

Peej, welcome to the neighborhood?

You're having quite a week with the animals in your life, aren't ya? Maybe I should start calling you Bindi?

Your kids have such interesting ways of expressing themselves. :scared: :rotfl:

Hey, everyone! We had a beautiful weekend here. Sadly, though the good weather will continue, my kids start back to school in the morning. Waaaah!

THANK YOU for reposting PJ's I missed it the first time :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I then read it to DH and now we're both :rotfl2: reduce, reuse reproduce!! :thumbsup2

I went to Disneystore and got a free" Nalgene" type bottle - debate - is it paba free? that is the question! Yay Earth Day!

Monica hope you can fix that Vista thing!

 Moovers

Mony, yikes on windows crashing:eek: At least you DO have the phone. Hope you get back up and running ASAP!

PJ, welcome back from unauthorized sabatical. I have to refuse the reproduce edict (by your kids) and sending it your way. :)

DH bought DD a HUGE pack of fresh strawberries on friday and a gallon of millk. She called to say she has no time to stop by this weekend, a research paper due she hadnt even started on. Sliced strawberries in its own juice with sugar and whipped cream, anyone?

Well, my total work hours as of 2am last night were 66 hours for the week, plus 6 hours today. But it was fun, like solving a puzzle, so not really work. I made sure to tell BB that too today (about the hours and the fun) (She contacted me first about the increase so I wouldn't discover my accident.)
Sent out my first directive email to work today to all the hotels, EEK! I would much rather just follow directions. Leading is so NOT me! Plus I sent an amendment to my earlier email which requested to move call from 8:30- 9 until 9 to 9:30. So tonight I said make that 9:30to 10. HAH!! Might as well set expectations early that I am NOT an early person. One guy the other day said he was in at 6:40 AM!!!!!!! Not me!

Hair is colored, washed and curled, clothes are cleaned and hung, dishes are clean and put away, nails are patched with color, dinner was consumed.

Raises for both DH and me will be in Thursdays check, going back 3 weeks:yay: Well enough a week to increase tax withholdings. (BOOOOH!!!!!!!)

Drug out DD's PINK suitcase tonight. (at least its easy to spot). Gotta get to packing soon.

Knitfreak gave me some very pretty and very colo(u)rful yarn from her stash as a going away gift (to crochet something to brighted up my house). I haven't crocheted since my aborted attempt at making a blanket for Isaac. No idea what to make, a doily of some sort? It's very pretty, not really yarn, more like a very thin ribbon (ZEN colors). Part flat color, part shimmery. I love it! Just no clue what to do with it, LOL.
I pulled out a couple of pattern books and my vase o' crochet needles.

So it's been a very busy weekend, but a goog one overall.

Marita take the crochet on the plane - youtube has some crochet videos - our church group takes polar tech blankets - and someones crochet a cute border around them - the small blankets go to hospitals thru the Linus Project...

not that you needed to know that - guess I'm babbling again -

time for lights out

Will she be arrested if she tries to bring a vase of crochet needles on the plane?

GOOD Mooornin Moo'vers!

Everybody at work this lovely mornin?

So, I got up late (bed at 3am couldnt sleep! :scared: worried about Alli ;) )

Just made my breakfast, turned on my morning radio show: Lance - Susan's brother was on the radio! He's also in the competition! Radio host commented on his name - "Yes my parents had a sense of humour they do, said I was just a... 'stick' away from bein a girl" then he sang, sounded pretty good... but he was/is in the comp for his comedic impressions....

Hook Line, but I wasnt on the sinker!! It is after 9am! :rotfl2:

I have to do something about the derned Wedding photos! Are all wedding photos bad? Or is it just me and now dh's? (the photography aspect) My mom is a beiotchin about them...
$175 for a 4X4 album with only 20 pictures - AND AND that"album" is put together with a plastic spiral thingy that we use to bind "books" at school. Ludicrous. So if I buy per picture $6.50 for the 3x5 or I can get $8.50 for 5X7 OR 11.50 for - just so many ways of WRONG!

Will she be arrested if she tries to bring a vase of crochet needles on the plane?

:rotfl2: And with the edit.....:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sandy-- Terrible the amount of money they charge for wedding pictures. We got a package that gave us two parent books so they just had to pick. I thought the ones that you posted of yourself were lovely. Loved the dress.

It is darn hot out when you are out in the garden.......close to 80. ( Yes Marita that is hot here since yesterday was down in the cooler temps again were hubby has his winter coat on) We are having Yo-Yoing weather the last few days.

BIL showed up today....we are on a roll! :dance3:

I am being such a good girl. I'm actually creating back up disc for my new computer. lol. We had our old computer for like 6 years and I never did get around to making discs.

I think I spent about 4 hours cutting out fabric today for diaper bags. UGH! I only got 4 bag cut out. Waaaaa! It takes SO long(plus interruptions) My body hurts so bad from sitting onthe floor for so long.

Nab we're having that same weather - the YoYo and the 80's will it rain? I dunno wait a few and we'll see - the weather is achangin!

MP dont get too overworked!! Goog luck on the bags! Bet they are gorgeous!!

PINK suitcase Marita must be able to find easily... easier... wait wait - I'm thinking the pink suitcase is easy to find!

I'm tired ok!! I spent $20 at JoAnn FAbrics (40% off scrapbooking!) I got a 4x4 album, 10 specialty papers (wedding) 4 packages of scrapbook "wedding" theme stickers... $20 - 20 pages thought If I print from Wolf Camera 20 pictures similiar to what I'd order - put it together, see what the dil and ds think... I even ordered some in Sepia!! *G

Dinner is in the crock pot - BBQ Ribs!! YUM!

Sandy, sounds like a really fun scrapbbooking project.
Thanks for the crochet suggestions, but it's only 2 small skeins of yarn (110 yrds each), I dont think its enough for a blanket. And it's a flat skinny ribbon more than yarn. I may have to consult knitfreak about it.
Speaking of knitfreak, she displayed a shawl she made for her wedding party at the fair and won second prize for it!

MP, hope you get lots of money for the diaper bags. You are selling some, right?. How many diaper bags does one person need, LOL.

Nab, yay for being on a roll with basement BIL, Hope he keeps it up!

I had a dentist appointment for cleaning today at 2:30. Got a page this morning that the hygienist called in sick (the pocks on her!). The ONLY time they had this week (before my trip) is at 8:15 on Wednesday morning.
I am SURE I am going to oversleep  I will have to leave at 7:30 to make it. I contemplated having DH wake me up when he leaves for work, but that is between 3-3:30 am, so I don't think so........... My only other hope is that someone cancels.

DS volunteered this weekend for the Santa Barbara fair with his AF group.
I asked him today how it went. He said not too bad on Saturday, he walked around with squadron commander (female) petting goats (apparently the commanders mother owns a goat farm), and his assignment was to, are you ready?

Checking bathrooms for pervs!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

He didnt find any though. I asked him what he was supposed to do if he found any. He said they didnt tell him that. :confused3 They were not in uniform either.
Sunday was bagcheck, confiscating swiss army knives.

Even better, this sentiment was written in poster form with huge letters. I was supposed to hang the posters in the hallway for earth day. I hung this little one's poster in the room. The older kids would have been all over that one. 5th graders are mean! I sent the poster home today. I can just picture her mom cracking up over it tonight. I hope she gets a good laugh out of it.

Dangit, am I supposed to clear all future sabbaticals with you first? And uhhhh I know I'm a trollop but really let's not go that route.

Please pass the strawberries.

BIL showed up today....we are on a roll! :dance3:
woohoo!!! Maybe it will finally get done afterall!

Way to go! That sounds like not so much fun.

Nothing too exciting to report today. I finally got through to administration about one of my little buggers who I have been pushing for all year. He was finally tested today. They might actually listen to me about him now. He's been pushed to the back and lost in the system for too long. I'm hoping he's going to actually get some help now. Sorry, that was my quick teacher rant. I just worry about him a lot and sometimes I can't get these kids out of my head!

How was everyone's Monday? I need to go to the store.

Lil G - Of course I've seen Rudy! That movie's a classic :goodvibes

Nabbie - Hope your BIL is making some good progress :) Glad you had some great weather today!

Peej - Hope your student is able to get some help now :thumbsup2 Good teachers can make such a huge difference in a child's life.

Sandy - You'll have to share your photo book results with us!

MommyP - And YOU"LL have to share your diaper bag photos too!!! The ones on FB look great.

Mony - Sorry about your computer issues  Hope you can get it fixed toot sweet.

Marita - I have an early meeting tomorrow and on Friday I'll be getting up super early for Don's surgery, so I'll be feeling your early morning pain. ACK!

I am worried about not waking up in time at all and mssing the appointment :scared: I put a note on my calendar for tomorrow to see if Asst #2 can call me before she leaves for work, That involves taking phone off answering and remembering to out it by my bed. I swear, a cannon won't wake me up.

Hi!

Thanks for all the congratulations on my race! And thanks to Sandy and Marita who tried to track me. At least I still felt strong at the end. People were dropping like flies. One guy even died after completing the half. I just read that he was 25, and was in the army and had been to Iraq on 5 tours, so heat wasn't a factor, it was a sudden heart condition. So sad. :sad1:

I finished in 3:16:05!:yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2: It was so HOT!! I was smart and didn't push too hard, and drank at every water stop. Plus I had drunk a ton of water in the week leading up to the race.

I also had Family Fun day at school today. Typically, we are closed on Monday, except for this Monday every year. We have moonbounces, obstacle courses, tattoos, duck pond, food, etc. for all the children in our program and their families. It's lots of fun, but boy am I tired.

Marita - I see you are leaving soon. Hope you have a good trip with your mom.

Good night!

Marita - How many shoes does a woman need? Or purses? I've been carrying diaper bags for 8 years straight(off for 1 1/2 years between Kaleb potty training and Isaac being born). This is the first time I've had nice looking ones. lol. So to answer your question you can NEVER have too many nice diaper bags. ;) But I am making those to sell. I have 4 for myself. :3dglasses

Moo - I will be sure to post pictures as I get them sewn up. I still have at least 5 more to cut out before I begin sewing. The cutting seems to take the longest for me so hopefully sewing will be a breeze when I begin.

or you can ask dh to make sure phone isnt on answering machine! Goog Luck!
I'm an early bird riser... :sad2:

Moo feeling any better?

Alli WOOHOOTY :woohoo: :yay: gREAT time! so sad about the young man who died!

gotta take stuff back - print more pics... dh worked late, so he's still home!! DS stayed up till 4:30AM - everything is out of whack!

Hey y'all. What's happening? Not much here in the real midwest.

Thanks for sending us the rain Twink. I thought those days were over. :boat:

I laid out in the pool this afternoon. Don't you hate me? ;) A good tan is just what you need when you're gaining weight all the time and your belly is expanding like a balloon.
