I have to pack the kids a lunch that makes no garbage tomorrow. They have been doing the whole Earth week thing.

This should be fun. Their lunch pails are not big enough to put all plastic container in, and a thermos. I might have to just throw everything in there backpacks instead. Afraid to send a real spoon though, I have lost many a spoon this way.

That's right my b'day is the 18th. I think CEL must have read my FB status, and got confuzzled. We celebrated my b'day at work today because one of my coworkers doesn't work tomorrow, and we like to have all of us there for the festivities. Plus, I think it shouldn't just be one day, you must make a celebration out of it.

Oh, and CEL, I would much rather have confetti than the dog poop. Got plenty of dog poop in my backyard.

LilG - So sorry for the loss of your coworker. My coworkers are my best friends, and I could imagine being without any of them. We work together, go to church together, and hang out together. Kinda like an extended family.

Thanks Sandy and Marita! I've already taken a vitamin C and am about to drink a boatload of OJ.

Who says I went to bed? Heaven forbid. I was talking with BFF about insurance and Clark Howard (the consumer advocate) and Susan Boyle ( British Idol lady) and the joys of having no subordinates.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Luckily I didn't kiss him on the lips! I have been healthy all through this winter of terrible sickness, so hopefully, this to shall pass........without effecting (or is it affecting, I never can remember ) me!

First, clarifycation about Susan Boyle. I thought it was the british version of AI (because of Simon Cowell), but its actually the british version of "Amerca's got talent". That explains why she appeared at her age.

MaritaShe was on Early Show, Today, and Good Morning America - today she'll be on Today - she got a "make-over" She was good - they went to her pub that she sang Karokee at! The other guy that won the Talent Show is also supposed to be on (I think he was the mailman turned opera singer) Paul Potts, cell p hone salesman won 3 years ago (they are on tv now!) I was going to add something about Susan, but I forgot! OH the lady that sang it on Broadway in Les Mesirables talked to Susan thru the Early Show - saying this song is a lot harder than Susan made it sound - brilliant!

Paul Potts is in Australia, and susan in Scotland - he is now a millionare! Touring around the world singing!!

The oddest thing about the whole pastor salery situation is our church only has about 220 members. lol. Very tiny church, there's only $240,000 in our building fund to begin with! Our senoir Pastor makes over $100,000, which my family totally doesn't understand. But the rest of the church is happy he is so well off. It really bothered me a lot this past couple of years seeing SO many people struggling in our church and no understanding from the Pastor because he doesn't understand the meaning of finacial struggle. One of those people who think everything should be paid for in cash and you should have a huge savings account. Well that's find and dandy when you make over 100K. lol. Not so much when you make $28,000. Strange.

Chad has to work this weekend. Halelujah for overtime! Thankfully I have plans this weekend already so it won't be too lonely. He's working late tonight(like 8) and tomorrow and if the job isn't done they'll have to go back on Sunday. I have a baby shower tomorrow to keep me busy, which reminds me I have to bring a covered dish. Yikes!

I can't believe how nice it is today.

Almost shorts weather .... It is 46F and kids our out in just t-shirts and some are in shorts. Suppose to get up to a high of 63 F

Hubby took the day off today too but his brother is here working in the basement and the fireplace guy is coming to run the pipe for one down there. There is so much wiring and moving duct work that I don't see much of a change day to day yet.

Mommy p-- at least your church has a building fund. Our last priest did not and our roof really leaks when it rains. They have buckets everywhere, plus the basement needed to be to be fixed to get it up to fire code. Meaning a new kitchen down there and fire doors. We have been fund raising like crazy but it is really slow go.

Sitll thinking and sending Pixie Dust to the ones that need it.
