Allie, a Moover wedding, love the idea. That would be some party!

Marita, is that really you? Are you feeling okay????

I had stretches of extreme boredom yesterday, what can I say? :confused3

I watched the Ellen tape (partial) again tonight, still no PeeJ and HW sighting.....

Lynt, YAY on a Tuesday off!

Sandy, I am with you on leftovers, that's what we had today too.

Cel, the boy is probably sick and feeling sorry for himself. Men are babies.

BBN, I had to go to a meeting this afternoon and took 3 PB eggs with me, and thought why didnt I bring 4? Evil EYE!

I talked today with my replacement (whose replacement I am). We are trading places. She said she was happy where she was, and not looking forward to moving back out to the field. It sounds like the hours won't be a bad as I feared. Then again, they are cutting the positions from two to one. Then again, they are adding a reporting team. Who knows?????
Anyway, I went to the Ivory Tower for a meeting this afternoon. Where I managed to park on the polar opposite side of the parking garage of where I needed to go. And walked around in the rain, with winds blowing my umbrella upside down.

I found out that my office is several doors down from the 8-hour in the office Nazi, YAY! A woman I have know for many years said she was looking forward to me coming there to "straighten things out". WTH? No clue what that is about. But then again, they are moving BOTH people that were there before, and BB said something about hours depending on people working there. Obviously, I have some things to find out yet.

Twink - Meeting imaginary friends is tons of fun! Especially when it's a surprise.

Well, I would imagine a few Moovers are watching Rescue Me tonight. DH is watching with the headphones on and laughing every few minutes.

bbn - I hear ya about everyone in your circle not necessarily being happily married and being a sounding board for venting  You just never really know what goes on in other peoples' marriages.

Cel - I'd also go with the bbn's suggestion :) Maybe call this one the "hatestotext" guy if that keeps up :confused3

Lynette - w00t for making your hubby pitch in with the kid schlepping!!!

Peej - It was fun trying to spot you! But I'm easily amused. Too bad Hollywood and Scott didn't make that game - the ones who played got a nice gift. Speaking of which, did the audience members get to take home a gift? Or do they just do that randomly? I ended up watching most of the show because I wanted to see Patricia Arquette because I like watching Medium.

Marita - Sounds like you had one heckuva day! TG you're not going to be sitting too close to the work hours police. Looks like you're going to have your work cut out for you.

Should that ever happen to you again you're more than welcome to head up to Indiana. I can hook you up with some laundry, cleaning, or other tasks that will be sure to help alleviate your boredom. And no worries, the sighting is brief and not all that exciting.

Well, I thought it was great fun, but then again, I'm also easily amused. ;) We didn't get to take anything home. Well, Scott did. He got an Ellen t shirt. There was a dance off during the commercial breaks and he won. He's actually a very talented dancer. I went to my senior prom with him! I've never watched Medium. I enjoyed Patricia Arquette but I thought that Megan Joy girl was a complete Debby Downer.

My mind has been all over the place tonight. I'm just now getting to grading papers. I need to focus! Night, all.
:grouphug:

Peej - Was Megan Joy the one who was on American Idol? I didn't mind her singing, but what was she thinking when she got dressed for the show??!

Take a look at this awesome Youtube clip! Simon Cowell was actually kind of nice :scared1:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY

And go look at the one that Mari sent me on FB. I can't seem to copy it on here. I thought it was hilarious!

I had plenty of chores of my own to do, including laundry and cleaning, and taking the car in for an oil change, but who wants to do that on a vacation day?

I managed getting work clothes washed and dinner cooked, that was about it! My poor car is going to conk out in the middle of I-4 if I dont take it in soon.

big L - I told bridget prezacly what you said, but apparently I decreed no more nicknames after she named one guy MM (for money man) and another one Popeye (since he was short and had muscular arms).
She has no ideas for Jason.
:confused3

I'm kinda confused anyway.
we were all gung ho for awhile, now only one text in over a day? :confused3
boys confuse me.

Cel, thanks for relaying my message to Bridget. If NewGuy continues to travel this path, we may not need a nickname for him after all. :snooty: We like guys who are a scoche more attentive, don't we?

I agree with the BBN (gasp!).....sounds like it's time for a lil bit of hard-to-get.

Very clever you are.

Talk like Yoda you do. Ha!

Lynette I havent been able to grab all the pertinent drivel... I just drivel, but its not pertinent...

Sandy, pertinence is in the eye of the beholder, dontcha think? ;)

Wow, you're goog! I'm telling you guys, you have mad PJ spotting skillz. Or perhaps that's called stalking. :scratchin We did have a great time. I would love to go back someday. Ellen is still my fave. My grandpa watched the show and he called me right when it was over and said "well, that's too bad that you guys weren't ever on the camera." So I'll let gpa know my internet friends are better at spotting me than him! :rotfl:
p.s. glad to hear your daughter made it home safely and you had a nice weekend with her.

Peej, I just watched Ellen. I spotted Hollywood right away when Ellen called jump rope boy to the stage. And then I saw y'all several other times when the camera panned the audience. I can't erase the show from my DVR because Natasha made me promise she could try to spot you in the audience too. So you're still stuck in there.

Lynette - w00t for making your hubby pitch in with the kid schlepping!!!

I know! He had a bunch of other errands to do while the kids were at school, plus the kid schlepping and homework supervision and dinner prep, so when I got home from my hair appointment, I asked him sweetly how his "day off" was. This is what he asks me after I spend a Saturday running hither and yon to parties, CCD, soccer games, etc. He was less than amused. :confused3 Ha!

I had a loverly evening to myself. I did some shopping, stopped for a quick bite to eat, and got my hair cut and highlighted. I feel completely renewed! I even got to read my book while my highlights processed. Well, that was in between fielding texts from some crazy nurse chick in Indiana. But it was all good. :rotfl:

Dang, I watched jump roping guy and dancing peeps TWICE and still missed it. Time for my cataract surgery, LOL.
But it's still on the VCR. I'll give it one more shut tomorrow. Or maybe not.

I just went to put a reminder on my work calendar and saw that 8 hr nazi is coming to visit the boss in his office tomorrow morning fro, 8:30 -9:30. So I have to be exra vigilant to be in early tomorrow. UGHHH!

I've been good, really, between 9 and 9:20. Just something to be aware of for tomorrow. Wrote myself a reminder note.

:grouphug:

Me too. If it helps you any I did decide to accept "apical meristem" as a correct answer for #36. :thumbsup2

I read this as "fielding texts from some crazy nurse chick and Indiana Jones". WOW. That would be awesome.

Celery- Discuss your life all you want. That is the dealio here. For example, I assume everyone here appreciates Cute Kid Stories as much as I do. And for those that don't, that is why we invented skimming. ;) Let me help you out with the boy dilemna. Boys are not girls. They don't think like girls or act like girls. Basically at 10 weeks gestation they are literally bathed in testosterone. This rewires their brain. (Not to mention that Y chromosome.) This isn't a put down. It is biology.

Also put me down for a vote for "let him make the next move" ..... of course this advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. And I haven't been on a date in over a decade. ;)

good night all! :wizard:

Sure. It is finally sunny and not too windy here. Goldenchild would love some friends to play with. Be sure to dress them in jeans and jackets (do you even have jackets?) because while it is sunny it still 50 degrees.

Jackets have been put away for the rest of the year.

Cel - Sorry about your men drama. I certainly wouldn't call or text him anymore. You don't want to seem desperate. Better to let him think you have better things to do.

Back when Chad and I were dating I had a pager. lol. Half the time I didn't know what the heck his number messages meant. :lmao:

We had our first thunderstorm in months last night. It was so nice! We needed the rain SO badly. But we learned that Kaleb is afraid of the lightning this year. I hope he gets used to it or it's going to be a LONG summer.

I feel better today. Thank goodness. Tonight I have an appointment and then church. Sadly I've gained 6 pounds since my last appointment.

Thanks for the encouragement, all.
I put my phone in the trunk last night so I wouldn't be tempted to text.
I'm weird.
:)
Off to work I go.

Good morning to you and you and YOU!

The baby climbs on EVERYTHING! She is able to climb up on the high chairs at the "gathering" table and then proceeds to the table. She is making me CRAZY!

She insists on kneeling on the chairs so she can reach EVERYTHING!!!!

She thinks its fun to stand and run along the couches! I'm waiting for her to flip off one of the sides! Make her gymnastic debut!

She can't wait for someone to leave the gate unlocked at the stairs, she understands if she doesn't hear the click she's booking it to the stairs.

I wonder what she has swallowed today? Cause the older kids think it's ok to toss things, ANYWHERE.

Did I mention she stuck a nerd up her nose on Sunday?

Goog thing she knows how to blow her nose, that sucker flew out with great force! Might have scored a point or two.

Well, still raining, still yucky out. But I'm ok with that!

Happy Hump Day:goodvibes

Monica - I totally understand. Today I found Isaac with a half chewed caterpillar...I think. Every time he hasn't pooped in a couple days I bring on the prune juice in hopes it's not a blockage. lol. He sticks everything in his mouth and climbs on everything. It's tiring!

Monica- you have my upmost empathy.

Last fall Grasshopper ate a huge hairy spider. I found him chewing with the legs in his hand. :faint:

I have climbers too. It is exhausting. Plus there is no where safe to put anything.

I think her eating a slug last fall beats the caterpillar and spider.

Thanks, now I don't want to eat the last piece of cheesecake anymore.

Umm. I think it's a three way tie.

Remind me again why I want to have kids? :scared:

Lovely dinner time chat here today, LOL.

I'll contribute to the theme:

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
Guess I'll go eat worms,
Long, thin, slimy ones; Short, fat, juicy ones,
Itsy, bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms.

Down goes the first one, down goes the second one,
Oh how they wiggle and squirm.
Up comes the first one, up comes the second one,
Oh how they wiggle and squirm.

Cel, not to worry, you will survive your baby's bug eating, it's protein. Birds do it all the time.
I don't remember mine ever eating any. DS however managed to swallow some cleaning fluid :scared1:

Speaking of food, I need to figure out what to eat for dinner :confused3

Nothing much to report here today. We decided on a location for our good bye team lunch on Friday. There was some discussion about if the company would pay for it, but the boss never asked his boss, and since there is mass movement in the division this week, we figured it was not likely, so we are going to Red Lobster again on our own dime.

I'm just fine with that, yummy warm cheese buiscuits and creamy potato-bacon soup, all for $5 with discount :thumbsup2

Can you tell I'm hungry???

Friday afternoon is moving day. Got a bunch of things packed up today, the rest to follow tomorrow.

Not too much to report from MOOville today.

I'm sitting at 40 lbs off (w00t!) and pretty happy about that! Tomorrow I get to add in some unpureed meat (no beef or pork), low-fat cheese, and eggs if I can tolerate them. So I went to the store after work and stocked up. Yeeeeee Haaa!!!

Much better eats than caterpillars, spiders, and slugs :scared: :lmao: Yikes to all the mommies.

Marita - They sure didn't give you much time to pack for your move! :scared1: Hope you have a yummy lunch on Friday.

Twink - That sounds like a HARD test to me! ;)

Mony - We ended up with a sunny day here and almost 60 degrees. It was pretty nice out this afternoon.

MommyP - You'll drop your baby weight super fast breastfeeding and chasing after your boys :)

Nabbie - How goes the work on the basement?

Moo, congrats on your progress. 40 lbs. is fabulous! :thumbsup2
Just thinking about carrying 4 10 lb. bags of potatoes, that's a lot of weight to carry around. Yay for progressing on you diet expansion. Although I did hear that ground vermin are a delicacy in some cultures....

I saw on my former boss' (like 3 1/2 yeas ago) calendar that his region (which is also changing a lot) is having lunch at Olivia's at OKW tomorrow. Which leads me to believe he is expensing it. So I might try to put a bug in my boss' ear for Friday for our team, mostly because I know several team members are short on funds and would spend more than the measily $5 i will be spending. But his calendar is packed to the gills, so we shall see how that goes.

Hope everyone has a great day!

MOO: I was just thinking this morning that you should be close to the 40# mark. Way to go! Seriously, you need a ticker/ribbon in your siggy.

Mal has a birthday party to go to at a bowling alley. She had one yesterday at Mc Donalds. DH took her yesterday, today is my turn.

I don't think I'll ever want to order food from ANY PLACE after seeing the Domino's story on the news. EW!!!! If you missed it, it's on you tube.

Have a warm fuzzy Thursday.

Twinkie - Hairy Spider? That's disturbing...

Mony - A slug is way more nasty than the little caterpillar. :scared1:

Moo- Congrats on your lost weight!

My appointment went well. Everything is normal, like always. :thumbsup2

Church was interesting. A members meeting about some boring things and then the big thing them wanting to vote in this guy to be the planter/pastor of the new church out here.

I am very concerned after hearing him preach(we only got to hear him once!!!) that theologically we aren't on the same page..like maybe we're in the same book, but most of us are way ahead of him. You know? Also they want us to vote that his salary for this year be $62,000. :scared1: $41,000 of that comes out of the church building fund, the rest from other Baptist sources. Chad voiced our concerns about it(that match the concerns of all the other people out here who the church is supposed to be for). We can somewhat understand if he has financial commitments this year that he cannot get out of.(He actually said he cannot live on any less.) But we want to make sure before we waste a year of time and $41,000 out of our building fund that he is going to be willing to make LESS money next year. They can't keep taking money from the building fund to fund the pastor out here, and the small starting church with only 7ish families can't financially support that salary. Pastor Tom kept skirting around the issue and other members even spoke up and said it's none of our business what his budget is and what it is he needs so much money to pay for. WTH? I think it is. I know he's renting within blocks of the river and his kids are in private school. Do they have cable? Do they have 2 car payments? I don't think that the church should have to pay for his unessential crap. Get your kids out of private school, cancel your cable, downgrade one of your cars(his wife doesn't work), find a house that is less to rent. The median income out here is WAY lower than $62,000 so I don't think the pastor should be making so much money. :confused3 It's so frustrating!
