HAPPY EASTER ONE AND ALL!!
CelMama
Easter does bring back the memories - one year 30 years ago we went to Texas to visit my grandma's side of the family - I remember every bit of it, from peeling the eggs (horribly! lol) to the candy in the Easter basket (jaw breakers, we didnt have jaw breakers up here!) Memories are the best love!
Oh my aching back!!! The lower left is killing me... I made chicken fricassee for dinner tonight (still haven't eaten any, living off peanut butter eggs so far

). Cut up salt pork and grated Gouda cheese for tomorrows dinner, breaded and fried the pork cutlets. All I have to do tomorrow is brown the onions (pre-diced- I was lazy), the salt pork, add mushrooms, sweet cream and sour cream, add over pork cutlets, cover with cheese and pop in the oven for 45 minutes. It's yummy!!!!!!!!!! Serve with fresh french bread.
Moo, glad you enjoyed your soup, sounds like you are doing great!
I've had the then commandments running on tv. Can't really say I watched it though. I waiting for the parting of the sea now that I can finally sit down.
I miss the days of coloring easter eggs with the kids and getting up early to watch the kids hunt in back yard, sob
we switched back and forth from the 10 Commandments to "THE HILLS ARE ALIVE... with the Sound of Music..." (then we found out Sound of Music will be rurun on the Family Channel tonight!! LOL - right now its Mary Poppins!)
Have you ever made Coq au vin? I'm seriously considering it!!
I had that sad moment

DD is 12... when oldest DS was 12, dd was a baby, and we made a bigger fuss...
Of course, now I sit here, typing... DS and DIL said they'd come over for brunch at 10 - 12... its 11:30, they're not here... the food is cooked - French Toast Casserole, Crab and Egg Casserole, Real Maple Syrup, Baked Bacon (never going to fry bacon again!) Mimosas at the ready, fresh loose leaf tea - TWO kinds, Grand Floridian style... Deviled eggs... table is set with my best china, and gold flatware... waiting.... waiting...
and dag nabit I have to bake a ham, and make baked beans, etc for dinner - and no one will be here for that neither...
man, mony - that sounds awesome, but that'll be too expensive for you to ship food all over the country!
and won't they thaw in the mail?
No gelfite fish (I thought maybe I should have it for dgf) but definately the choraset (apples, chopped small with cinnamon, and powdered pecan for mortar) No purple horseradish - I bought a fresh stalk of horseradish, peeled and grated it tho - super uper spicey/bitter!! Each person had a bowl of tears to dip the parsley in!!
Have you see Rachel Rays recipe for Take Out Cashew Chicken? Its a 30 min meal, and quite yummy! We actually broke down and bought a rice cooker - awesome invention!!
Moo buy a box of the Matzoh Ball Soup for when you go to solids, its an easy mix to make - clear broth with one little matzoh - yum!!
Mony OMG - hey, I'm heading up to Michigan, maybe you can deliver them to Tecumseh for me!! I've always wanted to try perogis - I do love Chinese restaurants Fried Dumplings- Pot Stickers!! It probably would only take 2 days to get them here from there anyway!!
Hope everyone is having a beutiful, Blessed Sunday!
