Woo! Go, Cel!!! Sounds like he must be pretty nice! Thanks for the update, MamaCel :)

Mony - You may consider this a travesty, but I don't think I've ever had a pierogie before. Well, maybe once many years ago at a restaurant in Detroit, but too long ago to remember what they taste like. When I called a friend of mine earlier today, she said she was making some.

Marita
- You eat like a bird, so I'm happy you're finding you have a little appetite lately! That recipe looked yummy, but no beef for me for a few more weeks. So far, I haven't really been hungry, I'm just eating to get in all of my protein requirements. The past couple days, I keep thinking every little twinge in my tummy is my hunger coming back :scared: I would just as soon that it stays away!

Thanks for the update, Celmama.

W00t for Celery!!

Mony, I'm sure the pierogies will be great. I'll have to look up what they are though, LOL.

Good morning people lots to do today and the sun is finally shining!

Twinkie-- yes we are traveling to my Mom's for Easter. I hopefully I get to see the new baby! That is if I can get my hands on her because there will be others there seeing her for the first time too. Bella will only be 10 days old.

Mony-- I know them as perogies. yummy.

Moo -- your doing great, yay on your dd coming home tonight!

P.J.-- that is funny you don't get that day off. Good Friday here is a holiday here for everyone. Just like Christmas. The kids and government get Easter Monday as well. And the kids have a P.D day on April 24 so they are loving this month.

Hubby has me off to Home Depot to make some decisions on lights, etc for the basement. He was there yesterday for 5 hours with his brother.....I couldn't believe they were there that long and he wants to back today. I really don't want to go myself.

Then we have a play at the school to go to this afternoon about the Stations of the Cross that Nicholas is in.

Peej, no Easter candy for the thugs. I would go with staying closer to home with family and friends, myself. I speak from experience (a bit farher than Kentucky and Georgia)

But Georgia is so much closer to WDW. ;)

Peej - The class size of 10 would make that a tempting offer I would think.

We made it to church last night for the first time in probably a year. Funny we're there every Sunday morning, but show up on a Wednesday night and people's jaws drop. :lmao:

We're going to try and make it for sure on my appointment days since my appointments are in the Cape just like church and are in the evening. This morning has been hard though. We don't make it home from church until 9:00 -9:15 and the boys are used to being in bed at 8. So I've had to deal with 4 very cranky boys with horrible attitudes.

I'm on a nursing strike for Isaac's morning nap. He got in bed with me at 5:30am and nursed/slept until 7:18am. So I am not nursing him again until afternoon nap. lol. I think he's got enough stored up to last the day.

Chad was offered some overtime on Saturday. Woot! :woohoo:This has been a good week and I already have plans to go to my parents with my sisters(minus one who is out of town) and have a Easter Egg hunt with the kids. He should be back mid afternoon and we'll have more money for the imaginary Disney trip.

In a few short minutes they will all be sleeping and I can start back at making the pierogies.

I'm making a new kind stuffed with fried cabbage and mushroom.

I need a deep freezer, with my garden and this, I'm gonna need some more freezer space.

Hope everyone is ok.

WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!
Anyone? Hello?

Peej! I'm so happy not to have missed the Ellen show you were on! I'll be sure to set the Tivo. Looking forward to seeing the trip photos :hyper:

Boy, that job in GA does sound pretty tempting!!! Just think how much closer you'd be to the Mouse ;) Sorry the thugs were so naughty today.

I got some great news this afternoon - Mari is coming home a day early!!! So she'll be here tomorrow night :woohoo:
Great news about Mari! Enjoy your time together! :goodvibes I officially declined the job today. I do think I might teach at a private school at some point, but for now I'll take my thug babies.

Marita...not gonna lie, I laughed at the thought of you getting a recipe for hard boiled eggs. Now you can laugh at me for not knowing how to cook chicken livers and we'll call it even. Deal?

P.J.-- that is funny you don't get that day off. Good Friday here is a holiday here for everyone. Just like Christmas. The kids and government get Easter Monday as well. And the kids have a P.D day on April 24 so they are loving this month.
It actually kind of bothers me that we don't get it off. I went to a private Christian school growing up so we got it off and then since Xavier is a Catholic school we obviously got it off. I guess no one here cares about Good Friday.

How was the play this afternoon?

But Georgia is so much closer to WDW. ;)

Peej - The class size of 10 would make that a tempting offer I would think.
Both definitely tempting things!!!
Yay on Chad getting overtime and the Easter egg hunt. Sounds like fun!

In a few short minutes they will all be sleeping and I can start back at making the pierogies.

I'm making a new kind stuffed with fried cabbage and mushroom.

I need a deep freezer, with my garden and this, I'm gonna need some more freezer space.

Hope everyone is ok.
You're all pierogies all the time!!! It's like a pierogie making frenzy! Not to be confused with a posting frenzy, of course.

I'm trying to decide if I want to take my personal day on Monday. If I do I have to get everything together for Monday tonight so I can leave it for the sub. I don't feel like doing that. I haven't used nearly all of my days yet I feel guilty taking them!

Peej, I'm up, geesh!

Sounds like lots of Moovers had a busy day.

Mony, how many perogies are you makings? Are you going to feed an army?

Nab yay for all the days off for the kids. I'm used to that too from Germany, but in the US it's separation of church and state, and all that stuff. I think Christmas is the only exception to that rule, I don't know why :confused3.

I cancelled my day off tomorrow and moved it to next Friday. 1) because of the official reorg announcements tomorrow and
2) because the boss is taking tomorrow off. You better believe I will be out of the office by 4 tomorrow.

So we are going to hear tomorrow how they are going to reorganize Resorts Finance after the layoffs. The boss was told today, but couldn't say anything, other than there will be some pretty dramatic changes. Those people affected will be called tomorrow morning, and then there will be a big meeting in the afternoon to announce all the changes. All I could get out of the boss is that more than one person from out region will be impacted. It will be interesting, for sure! Bigger than just losing Knitfreak or Asst #2. For all I know, I might get moved too. So it will be an interesting day tomorrow.

Yikes, Marita! Make sure to let us know how the meeting goes...
I know they're doing a lot of cutbacks in entertainment, too. They just cut all the character performers' hours back big time. Hollywood lost close to 10 hours a week. That's a major pay cut. She's looking for a second job. :sad2: They're apparently lowering the number of characters out and about in the parks significantly because the days she's supposed to be in the parks are where all her hours were lost. The days she works dining everything is still the same. It's scary! I'm wondering if they're even going to let me work this summer if they're cutting full time cast members' hours.

Peej, they may still let you work. The parks and restaurants are mostly still pretty busy from what I understand, but only with steep discounts. Most of the cuts are in the support areas, and I suppose area entertainment that is a nice to have but non-essential, so to speak.

Let us know what you hear.

Sorry about Hollywood's hours. That has to hurt. But at least we still have jobs, which is something to be very grateful for.Hopefully the worst is almost behind us, and things will get better again.

I'll let you all know for sure what happens tomorrow. I dont think I would really even mind being moved myself, I never loved this particular place, and now that I lost my sweet hours, it really makes no difference. Or maybe it does, depending on the boss. Who knows? :confused3 I'm not going to lose sleep over it tonight.

So now that Moo passed her appetite onto me, I decided to make Chicken ala King tonight. At 9pm no less. No go, not a single can of mushrooms in the house.

Asking for prayers and Pixie Dust for my Sister in law. She had a heart attack at work this morning. She became a grandma last Friday too and was looking forward to this long weekend.

P.J.-- the play was really neat. They did it in shadows behind sheets. It was the Stations of the Cross and every one they went to they acted out and then related it to now.....kids bulling, not helping when you know you should etc. It was well done for grade 6's.

Marita-- hope everything works out in your favour tomorrow.

Nabbie, P & PD sent for your SIL. What awful timing too. Hope she gets better soon.

Thanks for the job wishes

Yeah, Marita, I guess it makes sense that entertainment would be cut, but on the other hand, what is Disney without entertainment? She's definitely hurting. This happened right before we left for Disneyland, so at that point she couldn't cancel the trip. Hopefully you're right and she'll get her hours back or find a second job soon. I would hate that for her though, she loves entertainment and I don't see her being passionate about a different job.

ANYWAY.

Prayers and pixie dust for your SIL, Nab.

I'm headed to Cincy for the Easter weekend so I don't know if I'll be around. If I'm not, I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and enjoys spending time with family. Peej. Out.
:grouphug:

I spoke to UtahMama today. She is sorry for being MIA and very very sorry about the facebook snafu. She has a new account and said the easiest thing would be for us to friend her. I haven't had time to find her but when I do you all can look at my friend list to find her. It will be easy since I only have 12 friends. ;)

She didn't ask but I will for her- she could use our prayers. She has had a very bad couple of weeks. She was in the hospital last week but now is home. She won't have time to post between recovering, mothering, and studenting but didn't want us to worry.

Twinks, thanks for the UMA update. We do miss her here, a lot. Sorry she was sick.

What was the facebook snafu? I have no clue. But thanks for making sure we get reconnected.

Happy Easter!

well between yesterday and today....i'm a day older. who's

making up these silly rules?!

ha!...noticed how happy all of mp kids are? wonder where they

get that from, :rolleyes1.

dwats..friday..means..one more work day.

here's hoping...mp ...is in good company, princess:

Sending prayers and pixiedust for Nabbie's SIL, Hollywood, and Wendy :grouphug:

I had been wondering why Wendy was MIA everywhere - thanks, Twink, for filling us in.

Long, crazy day for me. A couple of my close friends had rough days and I was spending some time with them. And unfortunately missing out on some time with Mari, but she had some one-on-one time with her dad and, hopefully, we'll get to spend a lot of time together on Saturday

Mony - Hope you're feeling better!

Marita - Hope things turn out OK for you and your coworkers tomorrow

Hoppy Easter to all who will be traveling :goodvibes
