Yes! We cracked right into spring break. I took a nap today like a cat, catching up on sleep is divine.

So, funny PC and PS story (my kids)

On the last day of school, we were riding in the van with the radio on. "Hot Blooded" comes on (what station was I listening to anyway :sad2:) and my girl says out loud "I have heard of warm blooded, why does he keep singing hot blooded?"

so my boy says "Well, warm blooded means that you have an internal heating mechanism, and his must be malfunctioning." :rotfl: I was panicking trying to decide how to explain passionate feelings to a seven year old! I am so glad I kept my trap shut.

That IS funny, MTK!

Hiya Moovers! Hope you all had a lovely, peaceful weekend. Today, I attended the world's longest Boy Scout dinner -- 4 HOURS! Urgh. But Boris received his trophy for FIRST PLACE in the Pinewood Derby for his age group. The giant grin on his face as he accepted his trophy was well worth the 4 hours. Heh.

Cel, he proudly displayed his Rockwell pin on Friday when he videotaped his interview/presentation. He says he was confident and enjoyed telling his classmates about Rockwell and then being able to show them the pin you sent him. Thank you from both of us!

Everyone else.....I read back, but witty commentary escapes me at the moment, so have this instead:

Mwah!

Congrats to Boris, Lynette, and congrats to you to surviving a 4 hour ordeal :faint:

DS called today. He said he went to help with Habitat for Humanity yesterday, but he was disappointed. He expected to help build a house for needy people. Instead they went to put in new windows for a lady, whol left halfway through in a newish looking SUV :confused3

He is staying close to home today due to lack of finances until he gets reimbursed for his housing allowance and first and last months rent. He said he was slow cooking a pork roast to make into BBQ. My son cooking??????? Never heard of such a thing! He said it had to cook for 4 hours, then add coke and BBQ sauce and cook another hour.
I just called him back (cause I am bored). He said it's still cooking and looking very liquiqdish (is that a word?) Hopefully it turns out ok in the end. He said he got the recipe from a buddy.

Almost time for Celebrity Apprentice...

Hi Marita! I'm loving Joan! "I didnt burn my bra so these ladies have to wear one" :rotfl2:

ITS SNOWING HERE!! I keep looking at the calendar - but SNOW :scared1: the way the weather (storm warnings) is dd thinks she has a 25% chance of getting a snow day tomorrow!! :rotfl2:

DH took our basement computer to work to "scrub" it from "virus'" (whatever) something like 20,000 problems? :scared1: DH was not happy!

:rotfl2: at annie and melissa - annie "ok good stopped that from happening" I totally missed what her point was!!

how often have both teams had teh same idea??? both have midgets - didnt they both do a cartoon character "Z" the same?? weird that!

Marita, thanks for the congrats for Boris. :goodvibes How great of your son to volunteer! To hear that the recipient doesn't seem all that needy kinda ruffles my feathers, however. It's not like there's any shortage of people who are truly in need nowadays.

Re: your DS......I'm sure that living far from your family and his friends will teach him a lot of life lessons. Cooking will be just the tip of the iceberg! Bravo for the making of a self-sufficient man!

Sandy, yes, funny show tonight. I always have attention span issues, but I am keeping up about 3/5th tonight, LOL!

Yikes about the snow. It's supposed to go back down to highs in the 60's this week here. WTH????????

Well, NYC trip is a NO-GO for right now. :sad2::sad1: For reasons I really don't want to go into here on a internet discussion board. ;) But if you have a few extra prayers and pixie dust. I could use it. :grouphug:

hey but I run my half marathon in three weeks!!:scared1::scared1::yay::cheer2:

Allie, sorry about the no-go on the trip. Sending you lots of extra Pixie Dustpixiedust:

YAY for the half Marathon. Run, Allie, Run!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

:thumbsup2 , moo..i think it's great! did you know..the big ten
basketball comm. , graduated from noth carolina? & played for the
tarheels.

while i do like the "sportsmanship" from sports, ..i am still the biggest
fan of women....sports, for good health.

yukies, there's always seem more rise in shootings..in the spring?,

:confused3.

...while nurse ratcher....had some skills, in no way trying to defend
her bullying & presentations..remember what your elders used to
say...? "good intentions......

but also this, those living with strict restrictions....toward others, or
on themselves...to possess this awful habit, of building up...anger...
until it explodes. look out, if you come across such individuals.

...no more bus trips for us either. while nyc was fascinating, my old

....psst,i was never a fan of disney until 99'. never pay attention,
to what was really going on. it's values, like any buisness , must
be able to produced monies. but it's all the special ways, it
can do it.. & leaving lasting impressions....can do a body good.

i like watching alll the bustling & hustling...

...it was so funny falling asleep during the indy show @ disneyland...

only to wake..up..& see jordan sneaking off..stage.

part of the disney charm...is allowing guests to decide "what"..is special
to them. now as you may recall, i have used that "offer"...to surprise
my lil'cutie..with a surprise, here & there.

saw a picture..of an older couple....@ the teacups. i liked that message..
you never get to old or tired...for living.

not every day...is big & wonderful, or sucessful for me too, but @ the end
of the day...there always something, that made it worth enduring.

very much, like coming here, :flower3:

MommyP, I think you should get that cat fixed. You may be able to get it done cheaply through the Humane society. Just sayin'

We didn't have time before she got pregnant again. She only just had kittens in October or November, not sure which. It was only weeks after she had even stopped nursing the last baby that she was pregnant. :scared1: So now we have to wait until she's done with this litter and then get her an appointment at the Spay Station. (a county run traveling bus that fixes your dogs and cats for like $20 shots and tags included. :thumbsup2)

I am SO happy and relieved that Chad doesn't have to go to school this week at all. Yay! No late nights.

I can hear sounds of very bad attitudes coming from the boys bedrooms though. :headache:

Allie- Sorry about your NY trip. I hope things are okay.

I have to go back and catch up, after class I will.

They canceled school for a dusting of snow. I understand we are to get 4-8in later.

Some places did get 6" overnight. But not us. Before bed they said 6-9".

My 12 year old actually was standing out in the cold waiting for the bus. Some nice little old lady opened her door and told him school was canceled.

I had no reason to turn the TV on. It was a dusting!!!!!!!

Come on people did you forget we live in Michigan????

Both boys got worked up and showered early for nothing.

Paybacks.

Heh.

moo?..don't tell no one...i'm rooting for msu. but ain't tarheels adorable?

popcorn::

Oh no. I'll have to pretend I didn't see that comment about that Baby Blue School, Lil G. Or I won't be allowed to talk to you. ;)

saw a picture..of an older couple....@ the teacups. i liked that message..
you never get to old or tired...for living.

:thumbsup2

Allie- :wizard::grouphug:
Moo- Hope today is :) for you.
Marita- How did your son's dinner turn out?
Lally-Glad the Norman Rockwell project went so well. We have missed you around here.
MommyP-I am still using my sling.... mainly to let Grasshopper "help" me vacuum. I love it! I can't believe it took me this many babies to figure that out. :thumbsup2
BBN-:yay:

Twinkie - I'm so glad! I've worn Isaac in my mei tai recently, but not a sling. My back hurts me bad enough these days after I've been on my feet. Poor Kaleb got booted from the sling too when I got pregnant with Isaac. He was over 2 though.

I wonder how Isaac would sit in the sling now with my belly in the way. lol.

Cel, he proudly displayed his Rockwell pin on Friday when he videotaped his interview/presentation. He says he was confident and enjoyed telling his classmates about Rockwell and then being able to show them the pin you sent him. Thank you from both of us!

:cloud9::cloud9: You are VERY welcome!!!

 to Allie.

We might be getting snow here in the south today.
which is weird!

Monica - Heard from the Dr. yet?

No, but I just called cause he didn't and was told this by someone else:

We don't give test results over the phone does he have an apt?

I just wanted to scream.

But the good thing is I got him one for 3:15 today.

No one told Tim that or me any of the days I called last week.

How frustrating Monica! And  to Allie. Dangit.

:wave2: to all my friends.

Yesterday it was 75. Today it is snowing. Welcome to the REAL midwest?:confused3

Hello everyone! Just popped in for a quick hello! I'm at work, but happily CBM is not! YAY! He went to Florida for the weekend and is currently on his way back. Today has been heavenly. Well, except for the fact that he shut the heat off in the office and we're freezing! It's only about 45 degrees outside, so the temp in the office is about 59! My co-worker and I have space heaters, but any time I leave my desk I start to shiver. Grrrrr!

Keeping Tim in my prayers, Mony.

Be back later................

It was just a new cyst! He's fine. Thank the Lord! He is good.

Thank you everyone for, well, everything. You are all so wonderful and I feel so so blessed.

Carry on:goodvibes
