I could have sworn I posted yesterday. In fact I know I did but the dis ate it.

Happy Belated Birthday Mamacel. Happy Seis De Mayo Friends!

Kudos to MommyP. I don't know how you do it. Today I put Grasshopper in the sling and pushed Goldenchild in the stroller because I needed to mail an oversize letter at the mailbox down the street and I couldn't reach the double stroller. So that was kind of like being pregnant for a few minutes. I was huffing and puffing by the time I got halfway there. And I wasn't even in Florida. Although we have humidity today.

Another day with a mile long to-do list. Such is May.

I just heard on the radio that Disneyland is letting the people go that check the ride pictures. They are hoping woman won't flash when they are on the rides because there will be up on the monitor for everyone to see.....:lmao:

My mouth is frozen because I had to go for a filling this morning. It was hoot listening to the dentist talk to his assistant though. She asked what he was getting his wife for Mother's Day, he replied ..."when is it". When she told him he said he guessed he was taking her to see Star Trek because that is what he planned to do this weekend. I would have hit him in the arm but he had instruments in my mouth.

Thank you, big L! Mom tried to describe what my thank you gift is - umm - but I think I have to see it.
(turquoise, shiny, a pillow but a quilt, very pretty, has my name on it) :confused3
I can't visualize it. :)

Celmama said to tell everyone thank you for her birthday wishes - she deleted her cookies and now can't remember her password.
:rotfl:

:woohoo: The freezing is finally gone, but my tongue keeps going to were he worked. The big test will be eating supper tonight, hopefully that will make my mouth feel normal again.

BIL is doing well down in the basement. Had to tell Nicholas not to go down there after school so it didn't interrupt his work. Can't really saw or hammer when someone is talking to you. All the walls are studed and he was working on moving plumbing today. So I can finally see the size of the rooms now.

Kids are in swimming lessons right now so I am at the library. Surprised there was a computer open with all these kids here.

Oh my goodness, peej! Someone else out there is named celery! what are the odds?
well, there was one on myspace.
but we all know I'm the REAL one.
I'm thinking the odds are not goog. I mean, really one of you is quite enough if I do say so myself!! ;)

Words to live by.... and maybe get tatoo'd somewheres. :thumbsup2

That sounds like a perfect tramp stamp!!! You should totally go for it. Tell them PJ sent you.

Hope you were able to get a lot done today. With birthdays, graduations, and mother's day, May has meant spending a lot of money for me!!

Bahahaha! I love it. I need to go back to Disneyland now. Is this true at WDW as well? :rolleyes1

:rotfl:
That sounds like something I would do, so I sympathize. Surely she can have it emailed to her or something though, no?

Today is Hollywood's birthday if anyone was wondering. She also got to do her first parade as Anastasia today!!! :yay: She did Ariel in the old MGM parade where they were all in cars, but she had never done a MK parade. She was very excited but nervous too.

The only big happening for me today was that a child brought in a dead animal for show and tell. For real. She found it at the park yesterday. I couldn't really tell what it was but it was small. There were a few bones, a bit of fur, and a jaw (I guess) with all the teeth still in it. Basically, it was disgusting. The mom had put it in a big ziploc bag. When she pulled that thing out of her backpack I nearly screamed. All the kids thought it was cool though. Her mom is an assistant in another room so when I saw her in the afternoon I asked her what the heck was that all about and she said "I know, wasn't that just the coolest thing ever?" Uhhhhhh. Yeah. It was cool. Super cool. So cool that next year in my intro letter I might write "please do not send show and tell items that were once living to school with your child." Blech. :scared:

:yay: , pumba back! are you experienced ? wdw style.

we're going in july, & trying to figure what we're going to
be doing..psst, someone here..thought..july might be hot?

...so my plans....eat alot, drink more!..& lay by the pools.

oh, you won't catch me hanging around...splash, since they lifted

the flashing..band, no not me., no matter how much pal

mickey..begs & whine.

& if you see the fella..with a psych ward tee, #4389 , bright orange,

Yikes, that actually kinda seems like an important job.

lol. I refuse to push a stroller. That is the hardest thing for me when pregnant for some reason. I actually wore Isaac in his sling last weekend for about an hour at Bass Pro Shop and it wasn't bad at all. I couldn't believe it.

Celery - Thanks for the offer, but imaginary trip is off. Since we had to buy a new computer and now our washing machine is dead. It's not even 3 years old. Stupid electric board went out(just give me some turn knobs!) and we don't have any extended warranties on it. The repairman said it wouldn't be worth it to replace the board, they are expensive and then I'll just have to do it again when it goes out again. So tonight it's off to Appliance Direct. Thank goodness for a good scratch and dent place!

Mommy P-- I would think that job was important too , to keep WDW family friendly. It only mentioned Disneyland.:confused3

I would think the wash machine is one of the most important appliances in your house. Glad you can a least afford to replace it. Wouldn't want you sitting there with a washboard. They don't make appliances that last at all. :sad2: We live in a world of throw away stuff.

Lil'g -- It is hot in July but if your going maybe I will try to make it snow for you , our weather has been crazy this year. :lmao:

Tomorrow is Nicholas birthday and I have no idea what to get him. Everything he wants is to expensive. Maybe a movie gift card, he loves going to the show and he is at an age he can go with friends. Time is running out.

They have an assembly at school today for Pedal for Hope ( Cancer, our school has been fund raising all year for this), some kids are getting their head shaved. Mine wouldn't go for it but we did raise some money for the police to bike to the school from an hour away. Thanks to other family members they raised $100. each.

Nab - We totally cannot "afford" to replace it. It will have to go on a credit card to be paid off in a timely manner. Hopefully we'll be able to transfer it to a zero percent still. So hopefully we will continue to have a job in order to pay it off. lol

Don't we all....

I just got back from out mall, there was a older man there with a coat and pants like the bus drivers at Disney....I was going to ask him where the bus stop was and it went straight to Magic Kingdom.:lmao: I would think if you worked there you would have to return the uniform :confused3

Well I got Nicholas a pair of skateboarder shorts. Hannah bought him a poster of Taylor Swift. Hubby is responsible to get him one more thing on the way home from work. We are humming and hawing over a cell phone with a prepaid card. Right now he takes mine if he goes out on a bike ride etc with friends or when he goes to the dances. He wouldn't take it to school that is for sure. Just not sure if we should go that route. One place here says you can try it for 30 days.....just don't know.

Bummer about the washing machine. I agree with Nab that that seems like a necessity for you!

Refresh my memory. How old is he turning? I wasn't allowed to have a cell phone until I was 16. Hollywood wasn't allowed to have one until she was 19. Both times it was because that's when we started driving. Yes, I got my license before Hollywood. My parents never would have let me have one before that. They were strict though. Now that I'm out of their reign I've become a rebel. :lmao:

p.s. are you sure it was a Disney uniform? That's too funny! All of the costumes are supposed to be returned but you scan them in and out yourself. SO, you may or may not be able to scan costume pieces back in and then stick them in your purse and walk out the door with them. I really couldn't say. :rolleyes1

:tiptoe:

He is turning 12 tomorrow. We thought we would wait until he drives too but he is always taking mine when he goes to the dances and if he goes on bike rides with friends. He is always out and about. And he is always late or asking if he can stay 15 minutes later at the basketball court beats walking all the way home to ask.:lmao:

When we were young we were out and about just had to be in before dark. I can't believe now how far I went from home and no one really know where I was. I wouldn't let Nicholas out unless he says where he is going.....to what friends house etc.

Well if it wasnt' a Disney uniform it sure was close.

Hi everyone!

Cel,! I think your thank-you is the kind of thing you need to see in person. Hope you like it!

MommyP, sorry about the washing machine. Don't know if it applies in FL, but if you buy an appliance that's Energy Star certified in MA, you get a credit on that year's taxes. I know it doesn't help you now, but it could benefit you when you file your '09 taxes. :confused3

NAB, I vote for getting Nicholas the prepaid cell phone. If he plows through his minutes, you could always take it back. But at least you could stop lending him yours. I think I have a few years before Boris asks for a cell phone, but I'm not looking forward to that, I tell you.

1. They were strict though. Now that I'm out of their reign I've become a rebel. :lmao:

1. So, one day you weren't allowed to have a cell phone, and next thing you know, you were texting at the Vatican? My, my....how things change! :rolleyes1

2. Glad to see that Catholic education worked out. :rotfl:

Goog Evening, MOOvers!

I was MIA last night because I had an evening meeting. I had my first experience eating a "full meal" out. We stopped at a Qdoba and I ended up getting a shredded pork "naked burrito" (i.e., sans the tortilla and rice). It was our project team's Seis de Mayo celebration. I was able to eat about a third of it and took the rest home. It tasted SO good, but I definitely knew when I had reached my limit

Then I worked from home today and our Internet went out for most of the afternoon  so I ended up calling in to let my supervisor know that I was just working a partial day. Goog thing I worked extra hours yesterday. Plus, it was kind of hard to concentrate on my work with my hubby home.

Speaking of the hubby - his tummy is still pretty sore, but he was having a bit of "cabin fever", so we went for a little drive over to a place that sells homemade jerky. Since that's one of the things I can have for protein now that I'm 6 weeks out, we picked up a few packages. We usually get the beef jerky, but I had never had the turkey jerky, so I got some of that to try, plus some BBQ beef and the guy threw in a package of the Chicago style (spicy) for free. Good stuff! We also stopped by The Wal-Mart, but after that, Don was ready to get on home. He's planning to go back to work on Monday. Hope he gets to feeling better over the weekend.

MommyP - Sorry to hear about your washing machine. I think about how long my Grandma had the same push knob Maytag. Man, that thing sure was durable! Love your sewing project photos on FB :goodvibes

Nabbie - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO NICHOLAS!!! Go for the pre-paid phone! And make him carry it on your next trip to WDW! ;)

Hiya, Peej! Congrats to Hollywood on her first MK parade!!!!! :tink:

L - I'm off to play my turn if I'm up . . .

Well, if he's taking yours that must mean you feel like he needs to have it with him. So I guess it sounds like he should have one. Heh. My parents were really strict with Hollywood and me but I swear things have gone to helk since I busted out of that joint! :lmao: My little sister gets away with everything! I think she got her phone when she was about 12.

1. So, one day you weren't allowed to have a cell phone, and next thing you know, you were texting at the Vatican? My, my....how things change! :rolleyes1

2. Glad to see that Catholic education worked out. :rotfl:
1. I was restricted for so long that I just had to go all out. ;)
2. What? I went to Catholic school? I missed the memo. The Chef Mickey's tie is cute!! I needed it as a souveneir of sorts!

Hiya, Peej! Congrats to Hollywood on her first MK parade!!!!! :tink:
Thanks, Moo. :goodvibes She had a great time. I can't wait to see it in person this summer!
I hope DH continues to get better and can go back to work on Monday!

Is Xavier a Catholic institution, or is it not? Or did you forget that, along with all the other nifty things they taught you....like Thug Wrangling and Crayfish Corpse Retrieval?

Uhhhh yeah I guess it is. You know, "nifty" really doesn't get the credit it deserves. We should say nifty more often. It really is a nifty word. Join me, won't you?

Yup, I'm a fan of nifty. And spiffy. But really, I think I enjoy snazzy the most. Because I just can't think of a word with more uh...snazzy-ness.
