Wussies, all of you!

Why is nobody up at 2:07 AM? It's Friday night!

I should be greatly messed up tomorrow, with late nap and now staying up half the night. At least I am mostly packed, except for some stuff I need from hubby's room, and taking a shower and stuff in the morning.

Dishwasher is running now, house is fairly presentable. I even DUSTED at 8AM!

I remembered to get out a jacket to pack, average high of 63, brrrr!!!!!!!!

Got my passport and permanent resident card packed. My pics look like I am mass murdere ready for death row!!!!!!

Death row Gal - Have a safe trip, how long is the flight? Can't say I ever want to fly across the Atlantic. Have fun!

LOL, MP. I swear I look like Aileen Wournos if those pics. Scary!
8 hour flight once I get to Atlanta. which basically means no cigs for 11 hours:scared1: Heaven help me! (and patch and gum) I postpone my quitting attempt till after I get back. An extra hour on the way back, cause of the winds blowing the wtong way. Thats an endless flight, I telk ya!

Went to bed at 3 am and up at 7 am. WHy cant I do that normally??????????

Washing sheets and towels right now. Dishes are done, but dishwasher needs emptying yet.

Beautiful day here today!

I'm leaving on a jetplane..................

See ya real soon!!

From BBC news:
Mexico has revised down the suspected death toll from swine flu from 176 to 101, indicating that the outbreak may not be as bad as was initially feared.

Health Minister Jose Angel Cordova told the BBC that, based on samples tested, the mortality rate was comparable with that of seasonal flu

:rotfl:

Good thing we're closing schools and telling people not to use public transportation and travel because of the seasonal flu. :rotfl2:

Ahh, good old United States of America, nothing like a little media caused panic to stir up the economy. ;)

Hope Marita's flight is going well!

And now for the Mr. Moo Report: They wouldn't let him out of the hospital today so he was extremely grumpy today when I visited. I'm kinda glad he's still there! I think his surgery was a little rougher than mine. But he's off the pain pump and feeling quite a bit better pain-wise.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend! We had a beautiful day here . . . blue sky with puffy clouds, low 60s.

Helloooooooooooooo!

Computer is fixed!

Boys puter is tuned up.

It cost me under 100 bucks! (70 actually)

I love my friend and her computer literate husband!

He said it wasn't a virus, just like a power surge that messed it up.

It actually is pimped out and kinda sweet now.

Bling! Bling!

Mal took a late nap woke up, puked, and 45 minutes later was jumping in the moonwalk next door. Just ate a bowl of cereal after her bath. She says, I think I ate way too much water melon today mom.

Hopefully she was right.

is every~body keeping clean, & healthy? by handwashing...

against swine flu?,

ha!..see.....handwashing...is one of the best way to live a longer

life.., but the healthy..one is..the more enjoyable....life is?

.....why God...is so great? .......take the dragons? their mouths

are full of bacteria....sooo bad, & yet they're immue. [ i just like

picking up..these lil'examples....of great engineering feats that
grace our day..to day living.]

life comes with alot bounces. what i think we forget most..."we
are designed...to bounce. " it makes life easier to take when
things don't go our way.

mushrooms?...i found one really big one, enough to feed 2 people.

:yay:

Lil'g-- you must be working to post at 1 in the morning. You are going to roast in July at WDW but it can't be worse then August when we went.

Moo-- Hope Mr. Moo feels better today and gets to come home. Husbands are big baby when sick you know. Good Luck.

Marita -- should be in Germany now, what is the time difference there?

Mony-- :woohoo:on the computer not so much on the sick child.

Lynette -- was your First Communion yesterday or Today. We have it on your church Calendar today and next weekend. There are a lot of grade 2 classes this year.

Yesterday was beautiful weather wise. We were out all day at Maple feast in our town and then the trailer place had an open house that had lots of free stuff for the kids to do.

Sun is shining again today, good day to be outside!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Mony - wish I had a handy dandy computer geek to help me! My personal laptop is still so slow after all the adware, spyware, etc that tammy and my brother put on it.

I have so much to do today! argh.
but my house is almost 100% little brother junk free! woo!

my mom and Ben worked their butt off helping me.
thanks, celmama!

she got mad at me because when we went to the dump, petsmart called me to tell me riley was ready, so me and ben went to go get him - but we ate lunch at buffalo wild wings first and played trivia.
we were only gone 3 hours!
I would've called her, but I don't have a home phone and I thought she didn't have her cell phone on her.

to make matters worse, the petsmart lady told me to tell her never to trim him again because his hair on his face was "ruined."
ha.
my mother didn't appreciate that.

tuesday is celmama's birthday! (and also cinco de mayo!) I guess I'll work in her yard like she wants me to.
buying a present is so much easier! :lmao:

off to write my last paper of the year.
blah.

Lynette-- How did your party go? Love the pics I saw else where.

Celery-- I will have to put your mom on the birthday list!! Yours, Mommy P and Pumba's are this month. As well as my two kids...

Is Pumba still in WDW ?

It was another nice day. Hubby even cut the grass for the first time. The trees are budding , I hope this means Spring is here to stay.

Church didn't have wine today because of the swine flu. There are 4 cases in our area. Saw lots of kids making there First Communion today. They were so darn cute.

So the kids had to do first communion without blood? :confused3 That would be disappointing.
Do you all use the same cup?
my previous church used a cup, but you dipped the wafer in it instead of taking a sip.
and we use grape juice here in the south.
most churches I've been to have little plastic cups - not very green, now that I think of it.

Mr. Moo is home! I brought him home around noon, then had to go run a bunch of errands and go into the office to fill out my timesheet so I won't need to get into work early tomorrow to do it :rolleyes1

My hubby's having a rougher time drinking liquids than I did, but he knows he needs to stay hydrated to avoid having to go back to the hospital. That's a pretty good motivator for him ;)

Nabbie
- We had a lovely day here, too! One of my errands was taking my car through the car wash.

Lynette!
I also saw your photos on FB. So adorable!!!

Cel - w00t for reclaiming your home! Yes, it definitely sounds like you should help your mama with her project

Lil G - What kind of big mushroom did you find? I have decided that I could never work in a hospital. I wash my hands frequently, but I can't stand that Purell type of hand sanitizer they have to use now. Yuck! They had one inside and outside of every room at the hospital.

Mony! Yay for getting your computer back!!!!!

We use the same wine glass, they wipe off the lip after each...they used to let us dunk our bread they stopped that because the bread is put in peoples hands , dont' want the germs in the cup, even though everyone is sipping.:confused3 I actually don't get any wine, but Nicholas does every Sunday when he serves it is part of the mass before it comes down to us.

My goodness, big L! Boris and natasha are ADORABLE!
I love the little bows on her cardigan!

You're going to have to beat the boys away with a STICK!

Good evening! Cel, Moo and NAB, thank you so much for the lovely comments about Boris and Natasha! Y'all are so sweet! :goodvibes

We ended up having a beautiful day for Natasha's Communion. It was sunny, in the mid-60s with gorgeous, fluffy clouds. I thought she'd be nervous about the ceremony, but she did really well, and she said she had fun getting to sing with her friends and take part in all parts of the Mass. We got to take pics outside the church (as you saw), and once we got back home, the kids got to play outside in the yard.

Today, we spent the day hanging out....they did some school work (yuck!), and we watched a movie together (yay).

Also, I reconnected with someone from my childhood this weekend via the DIS and FB. She recently started posting on a Games thread I've posted on forevah, and I noticed that she and several other newish posters on that thread are from MA. As it turns out, she and I went to the same teeny-tiny, private high school just outside Boston! She is 7 years older than I, but the high school and elementary buildings were attached, and I knew her b/c her brother and I were very good friends. When she told me her maiden name, I nearly fell off the couch! Such a small world!

*sigh* Anyway, I hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did! I'll probably be heading to bed early. All this sitting around today made me pretty tired! :rotfl:

...:yay: moo~~~ "a morel". lets see...it looks just like the
others..except 400x bigger. no foolin. a "monster"..i bet
it weighed...over a 1/2 lb...by itself. yummy!

...truth..be known , moo.....most of us..can't stand the

thought..of working in the hospital. fyi, when i worked icu...i used

to sneak..roses/flowers next to the pts, soooo they could have

a "reminder"....of the good things..in life. :flower2:

"making life work"..for you & all those who you come in contact
with. ...

..wow..i know..i sound like a stupid philospher..but the truth
couldn't be further. i'm where iam @, because.....i had to deal
with pia + obstacles.....then here?...on this site , made me
reflect...on what worked & what doesn't. as i was thrown..into

mental health....will you don't think i was going to changed? ....but a
funny thing..happened.....i started getting through...those others
said..not possible. @ what i used....were alot.."stuff"....given to me
by..those....just seeking someone/anybody...to talk with, good
company.

"the basics"....why do we disgard....old~fashioned...values..that
will never changed.

recently , the boards...tried to limit argumewnts, by banding religion
talk. but it keeps sneaking in, because faith & whatever we believe,
..is a major part of our daily living....whether we admitt it or not.

* friday, a young lady stepped in front a bus. her friend posted
here, seeking support. she also ..stated that she will never understand
..this event. sadly, the law of physics..are mostly for our protection,
,,but there are also dangers that we must all recognized..to prevent
fatal accidents. her story broke my heart, but ....to give our life
meanings...and to prevent total confusion. our progress....means we
should not throw..away...the things that give our choices.....for
positive outcomes...& because "reality is a constant, so many things
we can do..right now, improve..our future and well being.

..i hate to say..it but most likely true..my nurse friend... i think, died
from bleeding to death...in an icu , modern hosptial. this happpens
when we forget..about the things..right under our noses,

say what you want.....there's alot a mental health..subjects on every
board. shouldn't be surprising..since....disney appeal to our emtional
values..more thn anything else.

oh?...been on the cruise site?..i "see"..my friend~from the pc, is back
in the crap,

....i never saw...my trips....as "work", but i never go anywhere...
without, my interpersonal skills...besides..they makes..the lines..go by
faster....,:goodvibes

..i read all those exhanges..this & that expectations..who right &
what rules..they should be following...but i think it is quite simple...

..there's only 2 major groups..those out to have some fun, & those
..out ..for other purposes. [ self serving].

here's a shocker..the human race..is made up of all kinds of people
connected by alot common grounds...that makes it easy for us to
do.....better.

july..? it's been 20+ years..since we've been during this time frame.
my guess...we're run into some characters.....:wizard:

oh, flowers...to me...are some of the good things..in life....especially
the way..they smell, :thumbsup2

oh...my opinon...our knowledge...base, is very limited to only the "things"

..we determine by our preceptions [ smells, taste, so forth], but there's
a whole kinds of.....alternatives.....that way beyond our imagnations,
by design....because...we are also limited by "us" lacking the proper
insights, but where we were given something else to cope....faith.

i could b e wrong...but why? are people made differntly, is a
safeguard to proetect..us ......like thinking in reality. & because
life..isn't easy..doesn't mean it isn't good. those...are my happy thoughts,
fyi.

We had a busy weekend. Chad worked most the day on Saturday and then we went out shopping for a new bathing suit for me. And we had dinner at some little Mexican restaurant that we didn't know existed, unfortunately. It was SUPER yummy and cheap. Huge portions and even the beans were seasoned deliciously!

For some reason we had a lot of comments and stares while we were out. One woman was especially obvious. We walked past her and she stopped dean in her tracks, wide eyed, turned around and followed us with her eyes. WTHeck. LOL! It's like she'd never seen a family before.

Then at the restaurant some snobby man(we got lots of stairs and whispers there because we were in a rich part of town, but the restaurant wasn't fancy.) said something to us about them being all ours. Chad politely said, "Yes sir" and then man Harmphed and walked away. lol Meanwhile all 5 of the boys were sitting quietly in their chairs eating chips and salsa. People are very strange.

Off to swim and sun at Mom's today. Have a good one!

Last edited by MommyPoppins; Today at 07:17 AM. Reason: I had to break down and buy some ant killer. My dresser was FULL of fireants Saturday night. UGH!

I am telling PETA on you. ;)

From FB: Loved the 24 week picture MP! You look great! I hope you feel great. I am glad you guys got to go out to eat. Don't worry about it- people ARE strange.

Lalijack- Boris and Natasha are too cute! Very nice family picture. I am so glad that Natasha had a nice day.

Lil G- Thanks for the morel of the story. You are always good with those. :rotfl:

Happy Monday everyone!!! Grasshopper woke up at o'dark thirty and proceeded to sit in my bed and talk and rearrange pillows and pat me on the head. So I put him back to bed and fell back DEEP asleep. The next thing I know the little twinkie girls were coming in and out of my room. It was 7:53!!!!! :scared1: The bus comes at 8 am. Thank goodness they had already eaten breakfast- fixing it themselves is a new thing which is nice that they can be independant but means that the floor is wall to wall crumbs and the butter dish has seen better days. So after adrenline and scurrying and combing hair while they put on socks and cleaning glasses while they brushed teeth and yelling after them like a marine sergant.... they made the bus.
The boys are both still asleep. And so begins another Monday.

This is my last week of class. I have TONS to do (grading, exam prep) and the cupboards are bare, the laundry seems to be stockpiling despite 4 loads on saturday, and I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE.

Our school has a lottery for field trips. I entered for one this Friday because it is to an interactive farm/park thingy about Kansas history- one room schoolhouse and everything. Too cool! Plus I thought I could take the boys. Also I have never won the school lottery and thought perhaps the teachers were cooking the books to prevent pesky little brothers from coming.

I won.

But I neglected to note that the field trip is ALL day. I am to ride the bus which means I can't take the little boys (I don't blame them for that). We have no family for several states to watch them. And to pay someone would be 60$..... :faint: (and that is a friend- a daycare would probably charge more) I had planned to have Mr. Twinks take the day off of work (he tells me he has plenty o'vacation) so I could go if I won. (I did).

But now he says he is slammed at work and can't possibly. He worked all day Saturday and said he would have to do that for the whole month.

What do to do????????

I guess write/call the teacher today and explain I can't go afterall? I know they won't have a problem getting enough adults. Offer to go but not ride the bus and just meet them there complete with double stroller? Mail the boys to NAB for the day????

Ack is me.
