If by sabbatical you mean overwhelmed by my real life to-do list, then yes.

Moo- best wishes to you and Mr. Moo for smooth sailing through the upcoming days.

Marita- Have a great trip! I am glad your new job seems to be going well and that BB is a good BB.

MP- How are you feeling these days? I look forward to seeing more Poppins Sew Wonderful Creations (TM)

NAB- Are you busy with end of year activities? I guess you guys have another month don't you? Any vacations planned?

Lynt- Congrats to you and Natasha. I am sure the celebrations will be grand. We need pictures!

Allie and Sandy and Celery and Everybodee- I am sure I have missed stuff. So here is an all purpose dance party :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Goldenchild is on a Star Wars kick. We are watching Episode IV daily so forgive me if I start spouting lines at random times (unless you can speed up harvest or teleport me off this rock). His 4th birthday is rapidly approaching. I should be party planning but I have too much school work. I thought of Peej yesterday when I attended the first grade pizza and poetry celebration. Our darling children wrote poems about us. I found out I am sweet to everybody. Who knew? The funniest poem was written by the kid who sits next to my daughter. It went something like this

The important thing
about my dad is
that he plays golf.
He is really good.
Once he came in second.
He also takes care of our family
but the important thing
about my dad is
that he plays golf.

I wonder if the parking deck is actually in Kansas, not Atlanta:3dglasses

LOL! That's funny. I bet poor dad doesnt feel so hot about his most important quality as a dad.
I remember being totally and utterly impressed by my dad when he explained percentages to me. I thought he was the smartes man on earth!

Moo - hugs to you and PD for DH, oh, and some for you too! :grouphug:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Day two of swine flu!! :rotfl2: They still haven't confirmed it, and they think more kids are coming down with it. We are fine! Kids can't play outside since it is raining today. TV is keeping them entertained. :happytv: I'm trying to clean and get some things done, but this darn computer keeps getting in the way. :rolleyes1

Have a great trip to the homeland Marita!!!

BabyN - We used to like JT too until he started lying to everyone and taking advantage of the fact that everyone trusts him. If Coach wins, you'll hear my screams from sea to shining sea.

Thanks, Allie! I better get my behind in gear here,or I will run out of time.

Yikes on second day of the swine! :scared1:

Good Friday morning, y'all! Just wanted to pop in briefly to wish everyone a good weekend!

Moo, hope Mr. Moo's recovery goes as well as yours did! Now take a nap!

Marita, WTH were you doing dusting at 8am???? Have you gone mad? Pace yourself, or you'll be burned out by noon! :rotfl:

Twinkie, cute kid story! I'm sure that kid's dad will be underwhelmed with his child's description of him. Heh. When Boris was in preschool, he did a similar project, in which he described me as the mom who "makes the best broccoli and brownies", and "is an excellent out loud story reader". :cool2: I bet you want to be my BFF now, dontcha? ::yes::

MommyP and BBN, I am watching Survivor too. Coach can go now, as far as I'm concerned. I guess Taj is my front-runner.

NAB, Allie, and everybody: !!!!

JT Survivor fan here. Of course, he's from AL, so he was the natural choice. Coach has gotten on my last nerve, so he can go anytime. Sorry MP!:guilty: And I would keep Sierra around 'cause there is NO WAY anyone would vote for her in the end. Why oh why don't people get that you need to keep the least likely one to win around. :confused3

Ok, I'm off my Survivor soapbox. Of course, I'm sure it's a whole lot easier for me to judge sitting on the comfortable bed at home vs. being out in those awful conditions. ::yes::

Mr. Moo Report: He did just fine! Surgery took a couple hours and he was in his room about an hour and a half after that. He's still snoozing and pressing the pain button occasionally.

The surgeon told him he'll probably need to stay in the hospital two nights, but I'll bet that he'll be ready to leave tomorrow!

Yes, I sure could use a nap!!!

YAY for Mr. Moo doing well.

I am well behind in my to do list today. I basically did NOTHING! Well, I dd pull some sweaters and a couple of blouses from the closet, but they are sitting on a chair.
Talked to SIL just now, mom is home, YAY!

Mom's lady friend supposedly ordered a huge cake for mom's birthday. I said why, is there a party planned? She said not that she knows of.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTT
My favorite aunt from former east gerrmany and my cousin a year older than me are supposedly coming and staying with anotherr cousin in town, so that should be fun.

Cousin and I had lots of fun with communists i the summer of 1968!
Hee hee, should be fun, havent seen cousinn in 40 years!
Dang, I'm OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MooHooty!!

Glad everyone is doing better than the Survivors! (on survivor!)

BIG Drama at our house this am - fire alarm went off - I had made a MK Bakery recipe for French Toast Loaf last night, needs to be baked 1 hour+ - so dh gets up at 5:30AM - he puts it in the oven... around 6:15 it smelled heavenly - then BEEEEEEEEEEEP I jump up open the bedroom door to SMOKE - THICK smoke - I realize, dh is in bathroom, wait, get my phone call 911 - WAIT, he's NOT in the bathroom... the smoke is thicker from the kitchen - doors and windows are opening...

:confused3

FTL is overflowing causing major smoke :faint:

He didnt put a pan under the FTL, he didnt turn on the exhaust fan over the stove...

well I posted on the Restaurant board -- and got some good replies (also posted the recipe and on page 2 a picture of "MY" FTL!!

:rotfl2:

DD got a baby guniea pig - and I have to take her to a sleepover, ds had to get some errands done...

doorbell..

Sandy, yikes!!!!!!!!!!! Souns scary, But i am clueless, what is an FTL?

Okay, seriously...where is everyone? I slaved over a hot oven from the moment I got home from work, even as I helped Natasha finish the written portion of her *&%$##@ dinosaur project, up until about 8:45, and now I need y'all to entertain me, since Mr. Lalijack is at his part-time job. Helloooooooo? Anyone home?

Quick! Somebody frenze!

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes today! My hubby had a fair amount of pain once he got back to his room, but that handy dandy pain button finally did the trick. I stuck around until after he had gotten up and walked the hall, but then I had to get home so the dogs could quit crossing their legs.

It was kind of fun seeing some of the same nurses that I had. The staff is wonderful and some of the nurses are a hoot!

Lynette - I'm too dang tired to frenze, but I did play my move (you've probably already got back there and put down your tiles already)! So . . . dinosaurs are persona non grata at the Lalijack household now, eh?!

Marita - Woo Hoo for your visiting relatives :) Hope you have a great trip

Allie - There are supposedly some swine flu cases here in Michigan too, with school closings going on. There were signs all over the hospital today telling people not to visit patients if they weren't feeling well. Doh!

My goodness my computer is slow tonight. Another good reason to head to bed.

Moo-- Glad hubby has the good drugs to keep him comfortable. We have 4 cases of the flu in our area but no school are shut down.

Marita-- Safe travels my friend! Enjoy every minute, take lots of pictures and bring lots of memories home with you.

Lynette -- hope your weekend is also full of memories for your family. Hope we get to see Natasha's dress and of course the hair do and all the trimmings.

Twinkie -- we go for another two months. Last day is June 29th.

Hope everyone has a great Weekend.....with great weekend weather!

You got that right, Moo! I'm DONE with dinos! Last year, it was Boris with the stygimoloch, this year, Natasha and the dang t-rex. Gah! But, at least she managed to get her rough draft tweaked and write out the final version (8 pages). Now all she has to do is create a diorama of a t-rex in its habitat. That's for Sunday....after the Communion hoopla is over.

You must be pretty tired after spending the day at the hospital. I always get angst-y at hospitals, even if I'm just the means of transportation. Hope you AND Mr. Moo are able to get a good night's sleep tonight.

Off to play my turn....BRB.

Hey all.
quick rundown of cel's life:
Work is overwhelming!
I was pulling a marita and working at 9 PM!
School is almost over for the semester - I have a huge "open book test" that equals 8 pages of paper writing. bleh.
I'm leaving Monday to go to Georgia again (look for poop confetti, Allie! No swine flu! ).
BOYS SUCK!
Ben's coming over tomorrow morning to help me throw out all of my brother's stuff that's still laying around so I won't hate my house anymore.

the end.

please say prayers for my coworker monica and her daughter. She's three and has pneumonia. she's been in the hospital since last thursday and has already had surgery to remove some of the fluid. :(
they put in a feeding tube today.
she's at vanderbilt now, which is a great hospital - but she started out in a crappy hospital that did nothing.

moo - glad Mr. moo is recovering well!
marita - have a safe trip!
big L - I know your party will be a huge success and all dinoramas (ha) will be fabulous!
mamacel says hi too.

So, Lynette - I guess you won't be checking out the new T-Rex Restaurant next time you're at WDW?!!

While I was in the surgical lounge this morning, I was checking my work e-mail and received an assignment (my boss had forgotten that I was off today), so I figured, oh, I'll just try to work on it. Well. I just could NOT get my brain into gear. Nothing was computing. So I e-mailed a coworker and pointed out that our boss must not have realized I was off today and asked if my coworker could deal with it. Fortunately, he was already on it and e-mailed me back "What were you thinking?????!!! Don't be trying to set a new standard for your coworkers, LOL!"

At least I was still able to concentrate well enough to read fluff to keep myself amused.

hi gang~~:goodvibes

...now we'tre going to wdw, in july. you think it might be a lil'
hot? nahhh.

....i'm no disney fan..that "is"...i never saw myself as one, until
my wife dragged me down back in 99. but let me tell..you why....

...i  disney. if you read my junk before, you know a lil'
about how & why i feel toward sports, beside the points, :rolleyes1

disney....does the best , taking the time to make movies of some
of the best true values...they produced...."invincable & the rookie"....

the thing..about sports....in general, was the hidden values to us all
....that shaped our daily lives, & the world we live in. [ i really believe
, from the "team concepts"..while show~casing individual talents...
the benefits of putting differnces aside and working toward single
goal/s...mankind can overcome....even our own faults..:rolleyes1]

"works in mysterious ways....there you go, :thumbsup2

..now, why do i bore all the ladies~~to tears, here? because, thats my
apprication..to the disney legacy..is their dedication..toward remebering

....the lil'things..that can make all our livies...feel important.

..ok?...as you know, i sorta get bore easy, wainting in lines..& all the
other disney's tasks...so to entertain..my self...is why...i do alot
interacting..in lines & paying attention, to all the "messages..that
the " decorators"..are trying to sneak in.

let me share..something...amazing to me, [ as you know, this hasn't been
a very good year..with alot pain ]....but....my lil'girl....is still growing up.

my goodness..she is only..12, but almost as tall...as me...& she "is"...more
beautiful..then i could ...ever imagined. ha!...i can recall..those lassies
would turn their noses , whenever...they looked @ me. maybe there's
something..to that old saying.."don't judge a book by it's cover?"

oh, my...she is....you have to take...2 disney princesses ..just to begin,
to compare....i just wish..my mother & father..had gotten to see her.

:flower3:

* one of the saddest thing, i believe...is not recognizing one's blessings,
especially the lil'ones...while you have them, and able to enjoy them.
.."time..is the one element....we just can't "keep".

see the value..of mental health....somehwere, a kid..was pretending to
have been a dr., but this craiglist situation?...was in med school???..
think..about ..which one..has ...the more serious ..consequences?

..swine flu..ha!.,...i see...it's encouraging handwashing. good.

...glad things..went well, for mr. moo!

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, did I ever crash tonight! Tha teaches me to get up at 7AM!!!!!

Went to get my nails done finally this afternoon, I almost fell asleep in the chair!!!!! Got home, made some chili for dinner and crashed on the couch and woke up at 11 something pm :scared1: Nothing is packed yet!!!!!!! Went to put my laundry in the dryer and never put it in the washer, EEK. So gotta wait for that to be done now.Need to start packing...

Cel, pulling a marita???? LOL Sorry about sucky boys, really!

LilG, yay for your trip in July. Did your hear it's HOTT here in July?

Moo, glad Mr. Moo is OK, hurray for pain buttons.

Lynt, a dinorama!?? I know your party will be spectacular.

Nabbie, hope your basement is done by the time I get back.

Sandy, hope you recovered from your FTL disaster.

Gotta go pack now. I better double check my wardrobe choices now that I know my cousin is coming that I haven't seen since I was 16. very I spent a great summer vacation with her (well, 2 weeks?) at the baltic sea beach. We played water ball with North Vietnames soldiers on leave and hung out with a group of chechoslovacian guys (we each had a boyfried, LOLL) Mine was named Karel, I think? To die for cute:rolleyes1 They spoke no German, we spoke no chech. Karel carried a dictionary in his very tight swimsuit,.....
Quick, someone give me a facelift, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, seriusly gotta start packing now...

Thanks for all the good travel wishes, I'll check in before I leave.
