Peej - Yep, Cookie'll be buried eventually! I think you handled it just fine.

Nabbie - Fred Flintstone??! Yeah, I guess I can see that since they dyed his hair ;) I kind of preferred his gray hair.

Pumba - Sending prayers that your eye appointment goes well tomorrow

Marita - I really enjoyed the fruits of my cooking today :thumbsup2 Hope things went well with your new job today :goodvibes

Cel - Have a good trip!!!

Hope Mony is enjoying her warm, Mexican vacation :beach:

morning all........22 degrees outside and the sun is shining into my front room. AT least that is a warm feeling from that......

Yesterday my dil and granddaughter pulled into the driveway......I went out and got into it.....looked in the back where Megan was and off we went....we went to the corner and I looked at Megan again and her one eye was weepy......then all of a sudden she upchucked.....she looked terrified......I yelled at DIL and we turned around and back in our driveway.....I got out ( thank goodness...I hate upchucking)...and went inside to get some towels and paper towels.....got her and Clowny cleaned up and off they went HOME......that was our day....she was sick off and on yesterday her mama told me.....Poor kid has not been sick like this and she is 3 1/2......scared her for sure.

Last night hubby and I did go out shopping for IMPORTANT stuff he said.....Like a new tire thingie for the new car.....and a new extended snow brush for the NEW CAR.....and I got some knee lengths.......I asked dont they make those things anymore......hahaha.....needed something to keep my little toes warm.

Hope you all have a splendid day and keep warm or down south keep dry and cool:laughing:

Nab - I've been trying to think of who I thought Danny looked like, and you have hit it right on the head!!!::yes:: Although, Moo, I agree with you. I like the gray better.

Peej - That's the way we buried all of our hamsters. :rolleyes1 Actually, we have too many roaming cats in the neighborhood that I didn't want to see dug up hamster guts after burying them. :scared: Did I ever tell you that my running partner (while training for my latest half marathon) was named Cookie? No lie!!

Have a good day Moovers!

back from the eye doctors and I am back on eye drops and have to go YET again in one more month. When he said my eye pressure I said.....I promise I wont say A ca ca word.......and then he said 24 and then the other eye was 28....so I said SHOOT.......he knows how I loved having good numbers after my eye surgery..and no drops for the last year ....Oh well the good news is that these drops and all gluacoma drops (usually) keep the pressure down so people can have and keep their eye sight.....yes some good comes from having an eye doctor that has kept me going every six months for the last 12 or so years...he is a great eye surgeon too...
Thanks for the good thoughts my friends..

Pumba-- Hope your granddaughter feels better soon. The knee lengths you are talking about....are they knee socks? Nylon Knee highs?

Allie--Danny has the same hair as John Goodman had in the Flintstone movie. I hope Danny wins tonight. At first I wasn't sure about him because he was always crying like Mark. Can't believe he lost 59 lbs when he was home. I don't care for Liz or Amanda. And Rudy didn't have to say have the things he did.

P.J. -- you did fine with the hampster. I forgot Carrie Underwood was on last night. Hubby and the kids were watching the Grinch movie while I made my first batch of cookies.

Tomorrow I get to go on a field trip with the grade 4 class again. We get to see Jack and the Beanstalk. I love the theatre we always go to. It is done up so beautifully for Christmas and it has twinklie stars in the ceiling , lots of velvet curtains and balconies up by the stage it looks like a castle.

Of all the bad genes
in Eren's hamster pool,
you got the best
to show off at Lauren's school.
Your fur sustained you
through the week without heat.
You are cuddly and kind
fuzzy and sweet
Thank you for not being a cannibalistic mother
and for not killing your brother
We are oh so glad you aren't blood thirsty,
we just wish you weren't quite so dirty!

Wow just finished watching Biggest Loser. So happy Danny won. He looked great. He got a better hair cut and colour so he looks less like Fred....:lmao: Now he looks like Chris Harrison from the Bachelor. I watch to much reality tv.:happytv:

They all looked really good.

Waiting for the big storm that is coming our way. Hubby keeps teasing Hannah that her field trip will be cancelled because the school buses won't be running.

Nabbie - I toadily agree with you - Danny looked amazing tonight! :cool1: His hair was MUCH better. I thought Sean's hair looked much better tonight too. Not sure I liked Rebecca's blond hair, but I was glad that she beat Tracey and I was SO happy about how they challenged Shay. $1,000 for every pound she loses between now and the next finale in May. WOW!!!

Allie - I still liked Danny's gray hair the best, but it looked much more natural tonight than when they did the makeover.

Cel - Great ode to Cookie! :lmao:

Pumba - Still thinking good thoughts for your eye issue  Hope your granddaughter is feeling better too.

Still no update from Marita??! Hope all is well :goodvibes

Everything is OK

Just in transition here. Had a brief tour of BLT today to look at the much maligned bathroom sink in the kitchen area. The tower looks very nice and modern and still has a new smell (like I cant small anything, LOL). But we noticed a few nicks in furniture that may really increase over time and present a maintenance problem.

Way too late for bed yet again here!!

updates updates.

First off......the snow is here......coming down fast like 2 inches an hour....cant see outside right now.

Megan my little princess granddaughter is feeling better ...she actually ate some toast and wants more...she is happily playing this morning..
My eyes are going to be fine......it was just upsetting to have to do eye drops after a year off from doing them......I have had to do drops for the last 12 or so years.....I cant even remember.....oh well...I can see .....what else is important ...right????

I remember the years of the hamsters.....we had a habitrail that went thru the whole livingroom.......up and around and down and we would watch them for hours.......THEN the dad of the baby hampsters started to do his cannibalistic rituals and ate whoever he wanted to......it was disgusting...SO
gave away who we could and only kept on FEMALE with no chance of populating the house again....
THen we went to guinea pigs...we had a long hair peruvian one.....Snickers was beautiful......but during the summer.....cleaning had to be done every day or else PEEEEEE UUUUUUUUUUUUUUU..

snow day here so Jacob my neighbor calls at 7 am and says.......can I come over.....so he is here....

this week is my first without baby Ava......I do miss her.....thought i would be able to sleep in a little ....well monday had to get up early for trash pick up.....then tuesday was my eye appointment......then today jacob calls at 7 to come over....so when do I get to sleep in.....I know I am a nut .....I crack myself up sometimes...

Oh yah I had to do dishes last night by hand....GASP~~~~~~...Dishwasher was making noises......so I did them out of my big pot and then put them on the kitchen table on a dish cloth...hope hubby figures out what is up with this.....

Pumba do you not have a sink?

It is like that here to. This is our first snow too. No field trip for Hannah and I today. No buses running . But we walk to school so that is where they are. It is a fun day of playing with friends.

Everytime I shoveled it was like making little snowman ball. It is very wet and heavy. Suppose to rain this afternoon then snow again. Very, very windy too so the ice pellets hurt while walking and shoveling.

Woah woah woah a human person named Cookie?! That's just wrong. I wonder if Cookie the hamster ever ran in any marathons. :scratchin

Peej - Yep, Cookie'll be buried eventually!
Okay, that's a little disturbing but it made me laugh.

P.J. -- you did fine with the hampster. I forgot Carrie Underwood was on last night. Hubby and the kids were watching the Grinch movie while I made my first batch of cookies.
I love The Grinch. It's not Christmas without that guy. The Carrie Underwood thing was only okay..you didn't miss much.

Celery! Why is Cookie dirty? Did I ever mention that Cookie bit his brother's ear, leaving a permanent chunk out of it? So maybe he did try to kill his brother...

We went on a field trip today. It was cold and windy but we still had fun. When we got back all the kids had to get swine flu shots. :scared1: It was kind of rough. I did a lot of hand holding. Some of them I had to sit on my lap and physically restrain. I don't know who thought vaccinating kids at school was a good idea, but they were sorely mistaken.

My friend Eren drove down here last night and spent the night to go on the field trip with us. I'm not sure why anyone would voluntarily attend a field trip but she pretty much thought it was awesome! We just went out to dinner and got manicures and now she's heading out.

Hope everyone had a nice Wednesday! :)

I am laughing and hubby thinks I am a nut......well I am..

YES NAB I have a sink......but I dont have a dish pan......I have had a dishwasher for upteen years and I hate to do dishes.......I only have to wash the big pots in the sink and the rest always went in the dishwasher....SO I do not own a dish pan.......I have this big pan that was my Mamas......and I filled it with hot water and dish soap.....and washed them there......then I held them under hot water to rinse them off.....at least I remember how to do it..

Hubby tried to fix the dishwasher and he will have to work on it again tomorrow.....he did find the culpret......it was me......I smashed a dish in there a few months ago and some of the corning ware splinters are in the motor and another part......so he got some out and now the rest will be tomorrow.......of course I had to use four bath towels to wipe up the floor when he tipped it upside down........OY OY OY.....oh wait........maybe I dont have to wash this side of the floor on Saturday.......yah thats it......the floor is clean...ROFL.....only kidding.

Saturday Megara has to go to the vet for a blood test and a recheck for her ruptured ear drum......she has been losing her hair again and looks ratty .....so we are guessing that her pills will be increased......I read on the hypothyrodism site that hair loss is one of the problems with this disease.....My poor baby......

I wrote the ode right after cookie survived the big freeze last school year.
I can't remember if you really thought he was dirty or if I just said that to rhyme.
I dunno.
it was fun searching for it though.

Hi all! School is done for the semester! yay!
but now I have two huge projects that are due at work! boo! which means I'll be doing them this weekend.
yucky.

and making cookies with my new cookie press! yay!

Pumba, sight is a wonderful thing!

Bah to all the snow for you snowed in people

PJ, field trip sounds like a lot more work than actual going to work:confused3 But I bet the shots were not so much fun.

Cel, the Pampered Chef stuff arrived today, thanks! Question though, do I have to open the box to find the bill to send you a check, or does that come seperately? I kind of wanted to keep the box closed to just wrap up, but if the bill is in there, no big deal to open it. Let me know.

I was asked last night to go back to old job for the day today, YUCK!! So I did that. Good thing is, I got my boxes packed up and computer (why we have to take computers, I don't know, it's most annoying).
But anyway, the guy that took my placed had put it in a box, and as he was saying "this box is kind of flimsy" while hoisting it on a cart, the bottom fell out and computer landed on the floor, with the facing and something else popped off. :scared1: He put those back on, but who knows if the computer is going to work? :confused3 Guess I'll find out eventually, if not I can steal one from another desk from a person that is seldom in the office.

Better go get something to eat now...

Marita - it probably has the cost in the box. I dunno. :confused3
I'll pm you my address and the total so you can send me a check.

In other news, I just realized the implications of talking about a hamster named cookie and mentioning a cookie press in the same post. :rotfl2:
eww.

I love to bake cookies but I never owned a cookie press.

That is what I have been doing for the last few days. So far I have baked, chocolate chip, peanut butter, hershey kiss, ice box, peanut clusters, macroons, and chocolate krispie drops things.

I have molasses, oatmeal chip /raisin, shortbread, sugar and coaco kiss cookies to go. And maybe another batch of chocolate chip. I am not making gingerbread this year. Don't think I will have time to decorate them and my sugar ones.

They are cookies you have to make into rolls and put them in the fridge over night. Almost like pillsbury cookies.:lmao: Then you slice them and bake them up.

They have different things in them . Mine have red and green cherries with almond flavouring. My mom used to put walnuts in some , cherries in some. You can also put orange flavouring them. Most stores have the red and green cherries in them.

Must go watch Surivior. .... Just made molasses cookies , took me 2 hours to make 4 batches.

sounds good you guys....cookies and all those different kinds....YUMMy
TOnight hubby and I went out to supper and then to the grocery store to buy some more grub....potatoes were on sale ....russets for a buck a bag....so we got five bags. spinach was on sale too.....my favorite stuff...so I got two bags of spinach.
I am in a humbug mood....

well hope you all have a nice evening...
