good news, marita! it'll be easy for dis meets too since you're right there!
I loved california grill this time - I think I'm going to try and do it often.

Not that I'll be there for awhile.
I made a promise to myself that I'll explore new places.
so one new place before I go back to WDW.
I'm thinking Hawaii.
I've been doing the research. woo!

Cel, Hawaii sounds heavenly! Disney is opening a hotel there in 2011, hint, hint.

Marita - That's FANTASTIC!!! Hope it is a goog moove for you :grouphug:

AND it will be convenient for me when I stay at my home away from home. However, that probably won't be for a while, since we're going to Hilton Head in 2010. Unless I do an add on  I'm really looking forward to being able to go to the DVC resort in Hawaii in the future :)

Lynette and Nabbie - I'm kind of feeling like I haven't gotten much wear out of some of my clothes, so I feel your pain about your kids' infrequently worn dressy clothes and shoes . . . I'm trying to decide whether to take them to a clothing swap at the weight loss surgeon's office or just donate them to Goodwill or someplace like that for the tax write-off.

Last night, I had a public meeting and someone I used to work with on the project who retired a year or so ago came to the meeting. He was pretty surprised and complimentary about my weight loss (115 lbs)! So that was kind of a fun experience.

Thanks, Moo, I am excited to be back in Operations. :worship:
Congrats on the 115, that's awesome!!!!!!!

I can't wait to snoop around the files over there, LOL. I am sure I can improve things somewhere along the line. And yes, it sure will be convenient. I can even hop on the monorail to the MK for lunch or a show if I want to. I am especially excited to have a great regional finance team to work with.

I'd suggest lunch at the Wave if you come in 2010, but the one and only time I ate there, I hated it, LOL, so I won't suggest that...

PS: I called DS tonight to tell him the news, and along the way told him he gets to take me to see "New Moon" for my Christmas present.
He said "What??????? All I have heard about that is discussion about which guy is hotter!" LOL
I told him, tough luck, its my present from him to me, and besides, there is supposed to be lots of action, so he better suck it up, and I'll even buy the popcorn.

My great plans for cleaning house tonight went nowhere, I am too distracted.

Oh, Marita, I ate dinner at the Wave with my sister and friend in September and we loved it! Mari had appetizers there with a friend and her husband and they enjoyed it too.

Cel - I still haven't eaten at California Grill yet. Next trip, it is definitely on my must do list!

Wow, another slow day here.

I just my first drive home in the dark. What a difference!!! I could actually see the road :thumbsup2

I had barely gotten home tonight when the phone rang, some person wanting to cofirm installation of a new range, dishwasher and microwave for Saturday. And yes, she was asking for hubby, the only person in town with that name. I said, "well, this is his wife, and I know nothing about it". Quiet shock followed by "OH", on the other end. I told her to call back tomorrow afternoon, I can't wake him up right now.
This would not surprise me if we actually NEEDED new appliances, but we don't, they work fine and are not very old.
I wonder if DH is developing the "need a new car because the ashtray is full" syndrome.

Marita - I guess that was just me killing the thread by posting more than once in one day yesterday! ;)

Today is my Friday :thumbsup2 Picking up DD at the airport tomorrow night. w00t!!! I'm planning to sleep in tomorrow morning and spiff up the house a bit, then go do a bit of shopping before her flight gets in.

Sounds like a great plan, Moo!

Maybe I should consider that posting more than once in a day rule myself, LOL.

Just a busy day running around in the rain....

I had to pick up my Sears pictures and decided to so some Christmas shopping while I was out.

Today is my Friday too Moo because the kids are off tomorrow. We are heading to my mom's for the weekend. This will be the last time before Christmas and she has my cookie containers at her house still.

Marita -- maybe that is your Christmas present this year....new appliances.:rotfl:

Moo-- Way to go on losing 115 lbs. :woohoo: Hope you have a great early Thanksgiving with you dd.

Thanks, Marita and Nabbie, for the nice comments on my weight loss! I feel like I have finally reached the point where it has made a pretty big difference. It almost feels like a switch was flipped in my body. I'm walking much more comfortably and my energy level is a lot higher lately. Stair climbing is getting easier too :)

Nabbie - How many batches of cookies do you think you'll be making for Christmas? I actually made some sugar-free oatmeal cookies last week. They were a little dry and chewy but they tasted OK. I'm going to try another batch because they're quick and easy to have for breakfast.

We'll probably do an early Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. Guess I'd better put the turkey in the fridge so it'll thaw in time.

Speaking of baking, does anyone have an opinion on stoneware cookie sheets? I saw an ad on Food Network. DD loves to bake cookies, I was thinking of getting her one for Xmas. Also brownie pans.

A lot of people like stoneware. I have one and never use it. I got it at a pampered chef party. :lmao:

I use big industrial ones I got at Costco one year. It bakes a lot of cookies at one time. I like my parchment paper too so no greasing pans. Plus with my convection oven I can put three pans in at a time.

Usually start the first week or second week of Dec. and just keep baking until Christmas. I do hundreds that is for sure. Most going to my mom's and all my brothers and sister take plates home with them. Some even come back and refill the plates until they are gone.....:lmao: I do this since my Mom does everything else at Christmas it gives her a break . She used to make a lot too at Christmas....there was six of us kids and we would eat them as she was baking so she had to make lots to have some to save.

Then a whole bunch goes to hubby's family because his mom can't bake anymore. She can't stand for long she has two bad hips and a rare type of M.S. She sleeps alot.

..ok,....not in jail, or fighting off bandits..or other exciting stuff....,

Marita! If you're going for stoneware, I know where you can get some!
hint hint.
and it will be delivered right to your door.

if you get her the bar pan, she can cook cookies on it, but can also make all kinds of other things - like pizza.

here's the link so you can look at it:
https://www.pamperedchef.com/orderi...dId=174&catId=9&parentCatId=9&xPrntItmId=1449

It has a three year warranty.

If you want to order it, just tell me yes. I already have your address - you can send me a check later.

I'll bake some cookies on mine tomorrow to try it out.

I made two posts to keep my sales pitch seperate.
ha.

so breadman's bringing the kids over.
I feel so dumb sometimes, but I enjoy having all of them around. oh well.

I think I'll make thumbprint cookies and snickerdoodles.
I also have to make a cake for Tuesday's work Thanksgiving dinner.
If Bill decides to go to his mom's for thanksgiving (whether or not he takes me - which is still up in the air), the kids and I will need to make a cake for his mom.
woo.
school is winding down for the semester - so I have plenty of time for world of warcraft, baking and getting ready for christmas!

all of my christmas stuff is at breadman's house - so I'll have to get that soon.
like this weekend!

remember that some stones need to be seasoned properly so they dont stick.....I love my old cruddy looking stone......slick as a wick and I love it that way....

love your sales pitch.......you have done good girl..:worship:

Celery -- are you sure you are not dating Breadman again....:lmao:

Lil'g -- you do know halloween is over right....I wonder where W.T's has been hiding. I believe he had a birthday last month, maybe he ate to much cake and can't move. :confused3

Waiting on that fireplace dude again. Who know they need so many measurements , I guess our corner is not straight and the window been there is a real pain. Actually it is a good thing they keep bring me mock ones to see how it fits and looks so we can make changes before he make it out of maple and does the staining part. No pre fab mantle here....

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I bet you are right NAB. Either that or he is now taking retainers in the form of donuts and/or Chuck E. Cheese coins and he is soooo busy at work he doesn't have any spare time. I was just thinking that tis the season for all art critics to be busy.;)

Speaking, of cake, today is Grasshopper's 2nd birthday. :cake: I can't believe how the years have flown. Sigh.

I going to start a community board thread. :rolleyes1 Maybe if I am lucky I'll get some goog advice.... or a bunch of people telling me I am an idiot. :thumbsup2

I think I grossed out cel.....oh no......I hope not.

And its raining its pouring the old man is snoring.......well she was snoring now he is getting ready to take a hot shower after being in the woods this morning with our son........they came home so they didnt have to paddle back on their four wheelers to their truck areas.........geesh.....the things we do to bag a deer.....It took me a week before I could move again.......four wheeling for 15 miles is something else to this old bod.......rofl

:rolleyes1..well nabby, one of my favorite tradition..is to "mixed it

..up", trading different ones....but adding ..the lil'touches,

oops, you never kno...what new ones you might create?...like

...dunking pretzels...with peanut butter, popcorn::

ps...i used to eat..peanut butter before taking tests..why? peanut
butter..is "brain food"....for thinking.

oh..you don't think ...what i eat..effects..my ways of thinking?

:lmao:

....i like..looking @ our old disney pictures..., when i take pictures,

...iam alwys trying to go for the reaction/s to the situation....instead
of posing....so iam sneaking around...& snapping. while this tactic
..really annoys..my kids..the results are just :yay:...

..one of my favorite..is jordan peeking @ tinker bell @ the her store.

...the door was opened...so in the background.....is the sword in the stone
prop.,,,,she has her princess dress on, & her intent....is so..."determined."

:thumbsup2,

..a while back...i commented on the site..where the mother...was still
grieving for her son killed in a car accident. i mentioned..this..because
..she went to the car....to retrived...his stuff, * some one should have
done that for..her.....[ all iam saying..in some situations..one needs to
avoid....things/activities..that only stir more emotional pain. & i
don't think..there's any worst...loss then losing a child.]

i think..one of the neatest thing about disney...is sitting back, &
watching families....enjoying their bonding experiences....

remember..the dj jam...over dose earlier?...[ he was in that plane crash..
where...some were killed.....] my wife thought maybe it was a self harm
situation. she pointed out ....he wasn't into drugs. guilt...can caused
alot emotional misery....& she right, this was probably..over looked,

....it stuff like this...that drives..me toward "sharing"....too many think
mental~health....is just for those having problems. in reality..a person's
make~up..... compose 2 major systems..physical & mental health.
mentall health..really...is not about being sick..but discovery personal
happiness. really, it is.
