Morning everyone.

Okey cold is COLD......it was ten below when I took Megara out in the back yard to go potty. She was in a hurry and didnt mess around......frozen poop as it entered this world......I know I am gross....still no chicken thigh bone.....maybe the inners consumed it. I hope so...

I am sitting here in my housecoat still and it is almost ten thirty.....bad bad Piggy......I had better take a shower and get my act together.

I was disappointed when I saw that the head investigator on CSI in Vegas is all done tonight.......I just started watching this show in October and was catching up on the repeats on all the channels. From Vegas to NY to Miami. Oh well....

Doing some investigating on coffee makers. I will buy a new one for this house and take the ones here to "a camp" if we every find one we want again. I like braun and krups coffee makers. Also replace toaster and take this one here to a camp. Microwave will be easy....just a press and go type of microwave....I do mypoints and I just got some gc to walmart ...so that will be easy to use. we usually use the gc for gas at the place on walmart property. Sooooooo...

Hope you are all nice and cosy and warm and snuggled down for the blast of artic air. My daddy used to blame our cold air on Canada. (even though he was a French Canadian)...

we are almost ready to make our food reservations at Disney.....now you have to wait 90 days .......bummer

Just for that I am going to send you more..... It is freezing here this morning. Didnt' think it was as bad as yesterday though , less wind. The sun is shining and makes it look really nice out there until you step out. Do you get the wind.

Nab - a syllabus is a plan of what the teacher is going to do - kind of the rules for the class. And I can't believe twinks has to be 20 pages! what the heck?
I have three classes starting today - so I'd have to read 60 pages if I was at Twink's school?

That is because they are multiplication worksheets. They will mulitply if left alone too long. DUH.

Unfortunately the division worksheets also divide into two which makes them equally tricky to grade.

Twinkie - No appointment yet. My first attempt at Medicaid was shot down because the deadline they gave me to give them my proof of pregnancy was about 8 days and that was over Christmas. Idiots.

So I just reapplied yesterday. Now I wait for my phone interview, where they ask me all the same questions that I just spent hours answering online. Then she will tell me to send my proof of pregnancy and 4 check stubs, but will not give me a address to send it to. Then I wait about 1-2 weeks for a letter saying I need to send them those things and it will have a deadline date of about a week. If the mail doesn't get it there in time, it starts all over again.

It's a really fun game.

On the upside of things there are going to be lay offs next week at Chad's work.

Celery -- we are used to the cold , but this year it is brutal. We have hats, mittens, snow pants, extra sweaters and the much needed scraf for the face.

They put out advisory saying don't stay out to long or you get frostbite. They open more beds for the homeless. But some still stay out and lay on the heat grates from the big building in Toronto. Indoor recesses, etc. Today they are advising us about black ice on the roads. Roads look wet but it really is ice. Plus we have a lot of high snow banks this year so you can't see to pull out of streets. Lots of accidents today the new reports.

Mommy P-- that does not sound like fun to me.

There is a good thought about below zero temps.........and that good thought is.......when the temp goes back to normal for this time of the year......hmmmmm lets say teens and 20's........it is a heatwave and we are in heaven.......

Just called my DiL ....she was at the museum for kids today with her friends and all the kiddos.....so I told her to check out Target for the sales.......and she will go there later.......thanks for the heads up Mrs. King

Thank you BBN! I am feeling a big wuckety- just nerves. I know I will be fine once I start talking about stuff I know and love. I have 12 students which is really small (apparently the economy sucks so enrollment is down.... or it could be that the thought a 3.2 hour night class twice a week isn't that appealing? it couldn't be me... nah)


Syllabus is done. A mere 8 pages single spaced.

I will also have you know that the furry rodents seem to have taken residence at my house. We eradicated the cute little deer mouse that was dining in my kitchen but I think the "evidence" left in the unfinished part of the basement belongs to a larger (and smarter) rodent.

I switched to Sam's Cola and generic mac-n-cheese a long time ago due to the prevailing economic suckiness. The Sunnybrook animals can handle generic food.

Cel...woot on your upcoming trip. And if you need any couches, just go to my mom and dad's basement. That basement furnished my entire apartment and could furnish about 2 more. Mom likes to go to Ikea and buy new couches, new furniture, etc. about every 5 minutes, so there's a boatload of stuff she got sick of in the basement. My own personal furniture store, but I'm willing to share. Cuz I'm nice like that.

Peej, if you'd ever met my brother's monsters....oops, I mean kids..you'd know that sometimes, duct tape is a girl's best friend.

When your class doesn't go out for recess, are they at least allowed to go run around in the gym? Boris and Natasha's school sometimes lets them take turns in the gym so the kids have time to expend a little energy. It can't be fun for the teachers to have the kids cooped up all day long. Ugh!

Nicholas got to go to the library on his inside recess and the next one he read the book he got. Now he is outside playing hockey with his friends. He came in for cookies ( I just finished making some) and his hands are really red. But no it isn't cold out mom.....

Hannah didn't tell me what she did today. Usually they stay in the class rooms.

They said it is going to warm up but then that means snow. Don't know which one I prefer.

Babynurse-- they just said on our new all pet food is going up in price....Buddy might have to change cat food too.
