Peej, I almost posted "Don't you have some flying monkeys to feed or sumpn?" when you posted your "drop a house" post. That made your post even funnier!

It MIGHT have been funny had you actually posted that. or even MAYBE funnier if you guys had borg'd it.

but you did not

hence i will say

thanks for playing

you lose

Boxen. I like it. It's kinda like boughten. Which is a word I saw earlier today on the CB. As in, "Once I had boughten the new flatscreen, I realized we were going to need a new stand."

You would be appalled at the way my children speak.
"when it be's 3:00, do we go home?"
"I ain't got none a them."
We do a lot of the whole "please repeat that correctly and I will answer you."

Great minds think alike, Dorothy.

watch the ponies. they poop butterflies.
I'll catch you some in a net. Sunnybrook Farm could surely use some new wildlife. That gnu has got to be old gnus by now.

Look at the nurse, pullin' a post-and-run on us! The nerve of her!

I don't think I would last long listening to children talk that way. I can feel myself beginning to grind my teeth just reading that last post.

I know, it's like she has 17 children to tend to!! Or wait, are we going to say childs instead of children? Or are we just changing box to boxen?

But it makes me very happy when I think about how bad they sounded at the beginning of the year and how much better they sound now. Of course, I know they go home and talk that way, but in MY room, it doesn't fly!

I say we leave children alone, but change box to boxen and brought to brung. Cuz that's another of my faves. :rolleyes1

Miss Peej....making LooUhVuhl a more grammar-friendly place every day. :worship:

I think I got caught up in the frenzy. I meant to say good for you to Cel for standing up to your brother. You pulled a Peej. ;)

And yes, Nab, that's the one...if you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it. It's such a dance-able song. You have to dance when you hear it. And so that's what happened today in my room. I'm sure this isn't going to translate as funny as it really was but I'm telling you it was ha freakin larious.

It was quiet today. All the little buggers were doing their work. All of a sudden one of my real thugs stands up and starts singing "all the single ladies, all the single ladies." I'm doing reading groups and thinking to myself "is that kid really just going to stand there and sing Beyonce?" I looked to my assistant to make sure she was going to take care of the situation so I could work with my reading group. She was on it. But then I noticed some of my girls standing up. And dancing, nonetheless. They were all waving their hands around like Beyonce does in the video. Have y'all seen that video? So this little boy gets up on his chair and starts singing the whole song. I mean really singing it. He was into it!! And then all the little girls were waving their hands around like Beyonce. They weren't emulating the rest of Beyonce's moves though. I just looked at my assistant and said "let it go." And I let them sing and dance. I may have joined in on the dancing. :rolleyes1 Just picture 27 children and a teacher dancing around a room while another child is up on a chair singing at the top of his lungs.

For those of you who haven't seen the video, a visual might help...

So, you're setting them up for the Montessori version of Grade School Musical? :lmao: Will that be going straight to DVD?

Natasha does a wicked pissah version of "Fabulous". Just sayin..........

Oh my gosh, I said almost the same thing to my assistant! She had this look on her face the whole time like "why the helk are you allowing this" and I told her it was Elementary School Musical and we were going to make it big. In their defense, we only went out for recess for like 10 minutes because I got too cold and made them come in. So they still had some groove left in 'em that they needed to get out.

I think Natasha woulda been right up there dancing with them today!

You really MUST get out of my head now. :scared:

Sincerely,

That is because they are multiplication worksheets. They will mulitply if left alone too long. DUH.

Unfortunately the division worksheets also divide into two which makes them equally tricky to grade.

Nope- no emulating on Wednesday.

P.J.-- that is the first time I saw the video. I am glad the only thing my 11 year was excited to tell me about was the robot arm.

Babynurse-- does that mean you missed American Idol tonight too? It just ended here.

Please read the first part of my siggie.

I Harumph you! :snooty:

After reading all of that I feel so smart. I learned new words, new dance moves, who needs college?

I would have loved to have seen your lil' ones hooping it up in close peej.

I cleaned up the last of the demolition and then cleaned the living room.

I tired.

Why would you be tired? You don't do anything all day but watch kids and go to school and clean up stuff. :confused3

Twink, are you making one of those book sized syllabi? Syllabuses? See, this is what I'm talking about...the English language is stupid!!!! I hated when professors gave a 20 page syllabus. What I hated even more was when they emailed it to us and made us print it ourselves.

Yes, Nab, it is a little scary that all the 8 year olds had clearly seen that video so many times that they were able to emulate it. Hmm.

Monica, speaking of college, what's your major? Forgive me, but I've completely forgotten. Color me PJ.

Marita-- it was at the very end of the song. He insists that is the background noise we hear when listening to the song in the car. :confused3

Nice bed head pillow there, B ;) I think you'd like my cuz - she's a pretty decent golfer . . .

bbn - Yay for highspeed Internet being possible! Hope you can afford it soon. But then you'll be an even bigger force to reckon with on the game board

I'm with Twink and others - peas like a river, kumbafrigginyah, follow the yellow brick road, and all that jazz!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to read back, geez, I go away, everybody gets chatty.

Ate at PTC, LTT, Donald's Breakfast, Le Cel, Biergarten, R&C, WCC, and Cape May Clambake. Le Cel was the best it's been. But Biergarten was my fave as usual. And at Donald's, I got my kiss from Daisy:love:   !
Glad to have you back, DTD! Too bad it wasn't a Wii that you won!!!!

Where's the photo with Daisy??! Sounds like you you hit a bunch of great restaurants. Cape May's on my list for next time.

Moo, I did check out Lexulous. Looks okay to me. But did anyone else notice that each rack has 8 tiles at a time now, instead of the usual 7?
Yes, I noticed the 8 tiles. What's up with that??! The tile values are different too. Oh well, it's still better than Scrabble Beta!
