Morning. I tired. Baby just does not sleep through the night. It's been almost a year already. Geesh!


My sister went to the zoo yesterday with us and she took the boys and Mal home with her.

Now I have to drive to Yale and get them. Bout an hour away. She suggested a day trip to a beach. Yikes! Me in a bathing suit in public? Hmmmmm......

On a scarier note, Maddy discovered that she is able to climb stairs. I heard her giggling like she never giggled before and found a very proud baby on the second step.

Still in Franklin. Had fun visiting family and friends yesterday. Today we go to church, out to lunch, and back to my cousin's to pick up Emily. Then home again.

Wendee....Last page first! NO! I talked to Mimi yesterday and she did NOT go to the midnight party...forgot about it!? She said she'd have the book when I got home.

Celery....How much did you pay for your book? I noticed in The Tennesseean that Kroger has it for $13 and Target for $14....assuming there are any left. Did you buy anything at Cool Springs? Ann Taylor is almost too expensive for me lately. I like Ann Taylor Loft better.

Moo....I hate stinky presents.

Monica....Time to put a gate up at the stairs.

Sandy....Glad DH is OK!!! That's so scary!

DTD.....I have always been intrigued by the Wigwam Village. But. The travel reviews online make it sound awful! I have never been to Guntown Mt. although I have ridden the chair lift to the top and back. I just want to take my kids to the cave. DS is also a big fan of Dinosaur World and would probably love Ky Down Under. Me...I love the wax museum.

Marita....I would love to have my nails done. I can read for an hour while somebody does my nails.

NAB.....The reason I go to Disney during free dining is so I can have a cook and a maid!

Lexi, the problem with getting nails done for an hour is that you CAN NOT read. If I could, it wouldn't be an issue. There is no room to put a book and they keep making you change hands. Pedicures on the other hand are lovely bacause you CAN read (and have your feet massaged and sit in a massaging chair).

Hound, I love that last picture. That is so me, LOL (at least for office time, i make it up from my couch)

OK, off to do my hair and other stuff to get ready for tomorrow.

When I lived in Germany, we had a German Shepherd watch dog for the gas station my father owned. He threw old tires up in the air for fun and caught them in his teeth. He went to obedience school too, and bit through the traininers rubber arm guard. But he was the sweetest dog. His name was Rex.

I can't believe that your dog could throw up tires for your dad, Rex, to catch, but it must have been fun to watch.

hello everyone.

Today we took a ride to visit the new Cabela's store......what a HUGE HUGE store.....it had everything you would ever need to live in the great outdoors or indoors or on water....We looked at new scopes for the guns and I looked at some of the racks on the walls......My moose is about the size of one of theres...I loved being there....and they have fish in big walled in aquariums....and kids popping things all over the place.......well anyways....it was neat...but you had to be there....

It looks like it still wants to open up and pour on our day....the rain in Maine has been nonstop I swear....

I can't keep up. I apologize. This weekend was crazy. My friend Eren was here to help me with my classroom. I couldn't have done it by myself. I've got all the physical arranging done (tables, shelves, etc.). It's going to take me a good deal of time to take care of going through the materials and getting them cleaned and on the shelves, though. It definitely looks like a happy place to be. I'll have to take pictures when I'm done. I am still obsessing on a few things that might get moved around.

Sandy...Sorry to hear about DH's accident, but glad to hear he's okay!

Monica...I'm so sorry you guys got that news. Prayers said for DH.

BigL...I think Natasha could rival grown men with her eating habits. When you told me she ate a lot I was thinking oh, I'm sure she eats a lot for an 8 year old. What I didn't know was that she eats a lot FOR A GROWN MAN!! Oy! That child can put food away!

I have been instructed to go to bed early today. for as up get up at 6 am tomorrow You know how hard that is for me? I am a night owl!

DD is making a gazilliom cookies for her brother! When is he ever going to eat those? But say anything, and I get my head chopped off.

Luckily I found a bottle of Niqyil!. So maybe I will go to bed at maybe 10:30.

Still have to eat something today. But I got hair and laundry done!

Good evening, y'all! Doesn't look like much went on here today. The family and I spent a long, langorous day together...just hanging out and enjoying a lazy day. The rest of our summer weekends are all pretty much booked, so I figured that we'd better take advantage of this one to just relax.


Sandy, thank heavens your DH is okay! One of my DH's uncles was killed riding to work on his bike about 6 years ago. Lots of drivers just don't give cyclists the room they need on the road. Scary!

I am going all out and curling my hair with hot rollers tonight! Dishes are washing! Kitchen floor is still only partially done! DD posted a note on the fridge tonight that she is driving to Texas with her brother and rerturns next Thursday.Not this week, the next.I never got that right in the english language. Or German. for that matter!

Well, I am happy they are so close now, after fighting for years when they were small.

He is looking at me with his eyes!!!!!!! Such fun!

Just to clarify, (TM bbn) DD posted a calender of activities for next month on the frigde. She will be wih us on the big trip.

Not sure yet on Dollywood , I was there on a bus trip the year I met hubby, that was 15 years ago....do you think it changed.

Marita-- I always sleep in the car. Now if only the kids would stop talking to me I would get a better nap ! They are always asking me stuff and hubby will say I am sleeping but I tell them I am only resting my eyes.

I've never been to Dollywood before, but I can't believe it has changed all that much except for maybe the addition of a few newer attractions.

Isn't the Dixie Stampede also there in the Pigeon Forge area? Cel may know.

When we stopped in the area on our way down to WDW a few years ago, we just went to the Muscle Car Museum and some of the outlet malls.

I know where the outlet malls are ....wish Hannah was still small and liked dresses. She had 4 Dolly dresses , very frilly.

So tomorrow while hubby is picking up my mom , I have to wash and get some food and pack a trailer, oh yeah and make sure my house is presentable for my mom... I hate going away and coming back to a messy house anyway.
