You did make me contemplative for a moment there with the fact that I will never again finish my last exam. :scratchin No worries, though, the moment passed.
Sure you can PJ! That is what graduate school is for ;)

Oh, Twink! Can I have him? How about if I just borrow him for a bit?

Aww thanks Lali and everyone else. Of course you can borrow him for a little bit! I'll even throw in another twinkie child of your choosing. Ha.

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!!

I'm off to stalk a babynurse, aka interview at a school in LooUhVull. Wish me luck!
LUCK!

GOOOOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Back to work today. Boss is on vacation so I'll be un-busy this week. Don't you so much prefer to have too much to do? It makes the time go by so much faster.

ITA. I would rather be way too busy at work than just hanging out. Especially once I had the twins. I hated being at work and would just think about all the stuff I shoulda/woulda/coulda being doing at home.

I really should be looking for a job but the thought of applying is overwhelming. Why do they need resumes and transcripts and essays on my thoughts on education? Why can't I just say I am somewhat famous on a disney trip report board and be done with it?

Sorry- I skimmed when I popped in last night. I was stealthily posting the pics for the night crowd. If you missed goldenchild it wasn't a good picture- he was dressed as a graduation pirate.

Moo- Sounds like you are making progress on packing. Sorry about the root canal.

Marita: Keep us posted on the adventures of Staff sergeant Backstage Kid! Your DD and her BF are too cute :thumbsup2

Wendee: So what major house project are you doing today? I am still living with my outdated wallpaper. The borders were a pain the astarstar to strip so I am leery of getting started.

Monica....Sorry about the be'urking. I am sure your did great on your test though.

Allie....Did you ever think about signing those kids up for chess club or sumpm?

Hee hee. I'll just quote Lex. Had I know that hot fudge sundaes were involved I might have been an athlete :scratchin

BNCG: I am surprised the redhead didn't suggest CALLING the Tooth Fairy since he/she is in your contacts. That could clear up the HE-slash-SHe controversy. I am also in the old school note under the pillow camp.

Marita! What a great picture! Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes Glad to hear your son had a safe trip, too.

Monica...so, how did the exam go?

I don't even know what Twilight is. I did, however, just take the final exam of my college career!!! :scared1: Imagine that! Crazy.

It was about a 30 minute exam. All fill in. What I don't understand is, I studied and knew the material well and there were, I'll call them kids cause thats what they are to me, just getting up after 10 minutes and turning in their exams.

I understand they clearly didn't study, but what I don't inderstand is: WHY? That class was the easiest class I ever took.

Packing.

I'm pouting that I missed Grasshopper photos ;)

(Does that help make you feel any better, Mony?!)

Me too

and
ABSOLUTELY NOT! I'm so sorry for your troubles.

GOOOOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Wendee....I watched the Twilight trailer at least 6 times and then several more with Emily. I can't wait!!!

Monica....Sorry bout the beurking. I'll bet you can eat a corn dog with one hand and clean it up with the other at this point.

Me too

and

That made me laugh outloud!

Morning!

Even though the beurker beurked again for his dad after they got home, he brought him back. Dad said he ate a big dinner :scared1: and didn't beurk it up.

Great, just great.:sad2:

He's sitting there barly eating the dry toast I made him.

I think we are spending the whole day outside.

Tim went to PA on Monday, Scranton, and this morning they wake up and the boss says, we are not needed here so we are driving to Boston. It's a 280 mile drive from Scranton. Then they have to make the drive back to Scranton to catch their flights home.

This infuriates me in so many ways you have no idea.

I don't understand it either. I don't know if it is a generational difference or what but I had such a time explaining to my kids that you can
1. use context clues
2. think
3. guess
4. write down what you do know because I am very generous with partial credit but I can't grade what you don't do

aRGh!

What?! I know how hard it is to be stuck home with a sick kid when you need to work. However the doesn't the whole world have the policy of 24 hrs since last be'urk, fever or other explosion?!?

Twinx: Might I offer you some Kashi for breakfast instead of chocolate chip cookies? I know, what a sucky offering. :guilty:

I think I'm spinning off the world!
ack!

hee.

hi again, y'all.
I should really work.
but I don't wanna!

cupcake party today around 2ish!

we will be buying lemon and one other.

Thanks BBN. I had raisEn bran for breakfast instead of cookies. My house is now cookie free. :guilty:

Marita's on a roll tonight! :woohoo: Someone else share some good news with her, she's unstoppable!
You did make me contemplative for a moment there with the fact that I will never again finish my last exam. :scratchin No worries, though, the moment passed.

Ok, I have BIG diet news, Marita: I can comfortably sit Indian style in a smallish chair! AND, I'm developing HIP BONES. Commence with gig dancing and scooter smilies!

Peej- SO proud of you!

and here is an oldie for all the pirate graduates

Goldenchild year before last:

Ok. It's called a PM? Have you heard of this?
I KNOW that child is delicious, but STILL. ;)

Maybe I'll see if they have headphones because I don't have an iPod yet. I figure I need a better computer someday for easier downloading first.

Just had to get caught up so my Scabbleicious friends would be able to take their turns tomorrow after being so patient today :rolleyes1
The Scrabblettes thank you! I just logged on and It's my turn EVERYWHERE!

I'm off to stalk a babynurse, aka interview at a school in LooUhVull. Wish me luck!
GOOD LUCK!!!! Here, put this in your pocket: :shamrock: That is dangerously close to TN!!!!!

I finally saw the trailer! Oh my goodness! His smile! ack!

It's a vampire love story. It's very very good. You should read the series. And make babycow read it too.

Guess what?

I weigh 183.6!!!!
that's the lowest I've ever weighed! :cool1:
Hopefully I can lose some more in the next day so when I gain ten pounds at WDW it won't be that bad. hee.

That crooked smile stirs things in your gut, huh, Celery?

I agree, BBN and PJ need to read Twilight if they haven't yet.

183.6????? Holy Skinniness!!!

I highly suggest asking a prospective employer, "Don't you know who I am?" :thumbsup2

Today's major project is the Laundry/mud/cubby room just off the garage. I got this blue paint that has a "clean and fresh" feeling to it perfect for a laundry area. The Sunflowers (that I've had for 10 years) are so gone! I also have to paint over my hand stenciled sunflower boarder that is at least 10 years out-of-style.

If/When the tooth fairy decides to show up here, we leave a note for her to leave the tooth so the Mama of the house can save the teeth, like the Queen-dork she is.

I kinda have hip bones too!
Only if I sit juuuuuuust right.
hee.
bones are fun!

you will be buying one another? What exactly is your line of business again?

Thanks BBN. I had raisEn bran for breakfast instead of cookies. My house is now cookie free. :guilty:

yay and boo.

I'm curious. What do you do with the teeth?

you save teeth????am I the only one who thinks that is creepy?

I am sure Mr. Twinks has a deal with the Tooth Fairy to recover lost teeth. He also has an umbilical cord collection. Ewwww. I swear I didn't know about this before I married him. Honest!

I am the lame mom that never remembers to baby book foot prints until the kids are like 10 months old. And walking. And talking. And doing non-Euclidian calculus. ;)

My mom was going through old stuff and found a little pamphlet my pediatrician gave her when I was first born. :lovestruc It has all the questions in her handwriting she wanted to ask him.
plus it had my feeding schedule.
can you believe I was sleeping 6 hours through the night at 5 days old?!?!?!
apparently I cried when I pooped. Hmmm. Interesting.

I also have quite an impressive umbilical stump collection. To ths day I can't eat beef jerky, though. :scared: I do not save hair or nails if that's your next question! Other than snippets from their first haircuts.

You're creepy! ;)

I'm curious. What do you do with the teeth?

I make pooka shell necklaces out of them! JUST kidding, chillax, (TM Lynt).

Each child has a little cute jar with their baby teeth in them. Only for the first child (Jordan) is each tooth in a small cello bag labeled with stuff like "lower right central incisor, 4/1/94" He also has the deluxe baby book, volumes of photo albums, scrapbooks, growth chart wall hangings, "baby's first year" calendar, ceramic hand and foot prints, etc. My others were shafted.

Our tooth fairy saves teeth also EXCEPT the tooth fairy has gotten lazy over the years and now the teeth of the four boys are all kind of mixed together and we may or may not have one baby tooth from the dog in there as well.

I'm sitting at the doctor's office waiting to be called, so I'm catching up here! I am going to try to get some meds to take on vacation in case my chest gets super congested.

Lex, we leave at 7 am Thursday morning for Mari's graduation in North Carolina and then I'm riding to Florida with my sister and her friend on Sunday! We get a bonus trip to Wrightsville or Carolina Beach on Saturday (my DD's idea)!!!

I'll be busy at work while I'm not at doctor/dentist appointments today . . . getting ready for a public meeting tomorrow night. And I need to move my stuff to a different office today so ne of my supervisors can move in to the office that I was using temporarily while I'm away on vacation. I have a couple coworkers lined up to help me, TG! I'd rather be home resting and finishing my packing ;)

I KNEW I wasn't the only one who saved teeth. We just put our first molar in there a few days ago.

My boys are lucking out big time. They are still getting trinkets from the tooth fairy cause Malorie has to see what she left them.

Cel if I weighted 183.6 I'd be at goal.

Cause I'm 6' tall.

Here's my tooth fairy story.

Matt lost his first tooth while at school and lost it. So, we couldn't leave the actual tooth under the pillow or put it in a jar. His second tooth was so loose one morning I wanted to pull it out and he wouldn't let me and I didn't want to cause complete mayhem before school so I instrcted him in this mannor.

You can not in no way shape or form pull your tooth out while on the bus. If you drop it on the bus you will lose it. Its winter and the bottom of the bus floor is disgusting and gross and full of ice pellets. I repeat do not pull your tooth out on the bus!

He calls me when he gets to school.

Mom, I lost my tooth. On the bus. And I dropped it.

So what do I do?

What any wonderful sweet loving mother would do.

My son sat in an assigned seat. First seat on the left.

I went to school before it let out, got on the bus, crawled on my hands and knees and found that little sucker.

Just so he could put his tooth under his pillow.

I would have done that too! :lmao:

As for the weight...I'm the PERFECT weight for someone 6'3!

or, "I'm not overweight, I'm undertall!"
