Kay-
did Emily the Stinky-Squirrel make her way back? I'm betting you'll be a kitten g'ma soon :rolleyes1 whether you want to or not. Uncle Tornado.

Yes, this morning after our breakfast I discovered Emily/Stinky/Squirrel curled up in the box we gave her on the porch. I actually let her inside for a little while because it is so cold, windy and rainy today.

It was funny watching her walk cautiously around the house like in "slowmo" with Tornado following at a distance to see what she was up to. I think Tornado might be OK with a cat friend after all. I used to have doubts about that. Unfortunately, aside from Emily being someone else's cat, I don't think she's a good choice. As the neighbors said, "She likes people a lot better than other cats." She continues to whine and moan if Tornado gets close. We spotted him slinking along behind her, swatting at her retreating tail, and couldn't help but laugh. Once he popped out from around the couch and gave her butt a whack and she let out a Yelp! I think he was just playing, because he does things like that to us all the time, grabbing our legs as we walk away, but she was terrified. :rotfl:

Guess who's 19 today? Kinky Kitty Kat, Jordan!!!!

Which makes me the MOTHER of a NINETEEN year OLD. :scared:

All he wanted was "The Cake"!!!!! :cloud9:

But I have $$$ for him too, so don't BOO me.

Don't worry, you both look great despite your advanced years. :lmao:

Again Congrats on your Graduation its a great accomplishment that I am sorry to say neither of my step daughters will complete...they dont care anything about school...Ive tried to convince them otherwise time after time ...but with no luck to get through ... So Im very proud of your commentment drive and determination to finish school. Good luck for starting a career and hope all goes your way with the security guard rejects ... woops ... I mean Campus Police...:lmao: )

Breadman's getting his cat Friday.
I am not excited.
Well, I am a little bit, but I'm pretty allergic to cats.
It'll be fun to see how Riley reacts to the kitten.

My roommate ran away and my brother is getting on my nerves.
I just told him I'd cut him a break and only make him pay a third for June and July, but come August we're splitting everything 50/50 and he has to pay me now for June and July since he has money now (income tax refund) and he has no source of income other than that.
he said he doesn't know if he can do that.
:sad2:

So all this to say, I might be kicking him out and will have room for a new roommate.
All recent college graduates from Montessori school can apply.
Rent + utilities would be $360.00 a month and we're a mere 20 minutes from high priced Montessori area.
We don't have horses, but the neighbors do.

Twink, I'm so jealous that your kids are out of school tomorrow! Mine have to go until June 12. And in the meantime, there are still book reports and projects due. Ugh.

Well my teenager has half days on Wed and Thur BUT they turned in their books early last week. :confused3 Right before the big field trip to PIZZA PLANET and LAZER TAG. What is the point? However I must say I prefer Algebra homework to penguin dioramas. I still have flashbacks to the 4th grade Niagara Falls report/model that I was made aware of at 8 pm the night before it was due. :scared1:

The last couple of years have been real nice with the oldest in Junior High and the Twinks being too little for such things. Half day kindergarten was a blessing. It gave us all morning to do homework and work on reading.

I will be mooving to my Summer Schedule of Extremely Reduced DISing tomorrow. I have not been kidnapped or joined the circus. I will be around (probably daily- the baby still has to eat HA) but I will be running a tight ship over here. I will be toting various and sundry children to various and sundry activities, games, lessons, doctor's appointments, etc etc. and in my spare time I will be preventing the local ice cream truck drivers from earning a living by handing out popsicles to the dozen children playing in my yard at any given moment.

Latest Crazybossman antics: he has decided to shut off the furnace, since "we're at the end of May".

I KWYM. I lived in a dorm once where the thermostat was tied to the calendar NOT the weather. We roasted all fall.

Hello from the library. I have an appointment at 1:45 to talk to someone who has to listen to my grievances from all 4 years at this school.

Glad you had a great weekend and a pirate: themed party. I didn't know it was already time for the airing of grievances. I still haven't sent out last years' Festivus letter. But I am going to do that this week. I get to pick up Grasshopper's First Portraits tomorrow. I went to walmart and still managed to spend big bucks. :rolleyes1

Do you have enough room for 6? Plus 2 100 pound dogs and 2 cats (which I would gladly NOT bring but they like us) AND my sewing? Cuz thats a DEAL!

Well worth I all the stress.....a few small things to do that you can not see but over all what's not to be happy with

OMGOODNESS ......it is gorgeous.....simply gorgeous........great scheme and colors and I love it..........

The kitchen is awesome, Debbie!

I like that little skinny floor to ceiling cabinet next to the table! What a genius idea!

I like the peanut butter color too. Looks like it compliments the counter tops.

Buddy is getting big! :)

Sure! If by enough room you mean 1200 sq feet.
3 bedrooms, 2 baths.
I'll move out and let you have it for $800/month.
plus 5 acres.

nabbers - I LOVE it!!!!

twinks - we'll miss you! post when you can.

mony - hope you get to go!

Thanks I love the design of it too.

I wanted to keep an eat in table or I could have just ran the island longer with stools. We eat as a family every night so I didn't want to be sitting on stools like a food court with my feet dangling.:rotfl: The island also looks into the family room now so I can do dishes and watch TV at the same time.

Any suggestions on window treatments? California shutters would take to much room up by the table when you open they I think. Really haven't looked into them much. It is southern exposure too so it gets pretty hot in there in the summer need something that closes up maybe.

Don't you feel like you spend half your life standing at the kitchen sink? Or is that just me?

I'd do something with a valance and lots of nice fabric on the doors. It will counteract the granite and stainless nicely I think.

NAB Your kitchen turned out GREAT! Wow! You'd never know it was the same room. I'm not sure what to tell you about curtains. Maybe some Roman shades. When they're drawn up they still have a sort of vallance effect, but you can put them down part or all of the way and they block the sun and give you privacy.

Nab, Your Kitchen is beautifullllll. I love the countertops. Your children are so cute. Hannah dress was so sweet. Have a good night. Amber if you kick your brother out, I will get him. He can have my room and I will move in with you.

Nab, LOVEEEEEEE your kitchen. Looks great. No idea for window treatment from me, but I think Kay's roman shade idea sounds nice.

Wendee, Happy Birthing day!
And Jordan's pic, HUBBA, HUBBA :thumbsup2

Twinkie, we will miss you! Feed the baby often so can post!!

I spent my afternoon putting my head in the sand with expense overages, LOL. No lunch today, and I am starving..

Everone, hope you had a good Monday!!

Nab! I love it! It's gorgeous!

We just signed yesterday with a company on cellular shades.

cordless, bottom up, top down. took us forever to decide.

I just enrolled another full timer today!

Makes the mini WDW trip a little more reasonable don't you agree?

Mony -- how many kids to you have coming to your home now? And yes I think a mini trip sounds reasonable. ::yes::

I was thinking of a cordless shade( we have these in all the bedrooms) that comes all the way down that would be out of the way when we wanted to use that door. Also say nice soft curtains that I like too. Maybe I will get some one in to check it out and help.

Twinkie-- You sound like you have summer weather already, so I guess it is only right you start early. We still have three field trips to do....

NAB! I think we have the same cabinets :confused3

GORgeous! I absolutely LOVE it.
When we moved into this new house 3 years ago, I stopped doing
"country" too (as in your "Before" kitchen). That counter top would be fabulous for rolling out perfect flakey pie crusts! Mine is just a laminant to look like stone...can't roll out pie crusts on it :sad1:

I just took a nap (:cloud9: ) and Jordan took Norah and his girlfriend to Red Lobster for dinner. When they get back later tonight we're playing "Apples to Apples".
