Moovers!! Thanks to everyone who said congratulations to me. :goodvibes It was definitely surreal walking across that stage yesterday and hearing my name called. I was thinking wait, I can't be graduating, I just started going to this school!! :scared1: I am feeling very reflective this evening, so I'll try to keep the rambling to a minimum. ;)

I learned so much these past 4 years. Not just school stuff. If you had told me 4 years ago everything that would happen while I was in college I think I would have said NO THANKS and gone and hid!!! But now that I look back I am grateful for all of my experiences because I've learned from my mistakes and without them I wouldn't be me! I can't count the number of times I wanted to give up or thought I couldn't do it. I especially didn't think I was going to pull off graduating in time. That was iffy until the very end. I had to take a semester off my freshman year for reasons we won't get into, so I graduated in 3 1/2 years. I feel sad to be leaving my campus and leaving things behind, but there are also things I want and need to leave there and I'm ready to say goodbye. I have a song (act surprised)...I'll just post part of it. This is one of my all time favorite songs and I listened to it driving to graduation. I just think it's appropriate.

How do you wait for heaven?
And who has that much time?
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know that you were born,
You were born to fly

My daddy he is grounded like the oak tree
My momma she is steady as the sun
Oh, you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run
I will soar away like a blackbird
I will blow in the wind like a seed
I will plant my heart in the garden of my dreams
And I will grow up where I walk wild and free

How do you wait for heaven?
And who has that much time?
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born,
You were born to fly

hello guys...

Today was another Mothers day for me.......My son and wife and two munchkins came to celebrate with me......last week the night before we left for Disney....we got three dozen flowers for hubbies moms grave and for my moms grave......I think they would be both happy with the colors we picked out.....was hard to do this .....but ......I miss them both so much...

When we were in Disney one of those stinking love bugs.......two always came together for some reason.....well anyways......one set of those critters landed on my upper part of my anatomy.....scared the you know what out of me.....people think because I go hunting with a big gun I am not afraid of other things...well think again........I ranked those bugs on my body up there with Primevil whirl......NOPE NOT MY BAG.....

I wish I could of bumped into cel and moo......I was thinking of calling the resort and saying.....please connect me to Cel's room ......but didnt think it would go over big......

I had a hard time seeing this week too........dont know if it is because my eyes are getting worse or was it because of the sunlight.......dont know but *I have less then a month now..

well last night slept from 8 pm to 8 am as I was a pooped out old lady......now I am ready for another sleep...

GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS......

OHM'GAWSH, Peej! I heard that very song this afternoon on the way to a wake with DH! I hadn't heard it in quite a while, but it's one that I always have to sing along to (at full volume, natch).

So happy that your reflections have taken you to a place of appreciation for all you've learned these past four years. Congratulations on your achievements!

The wake we attended today was for my SIL's g-ma, who was 87. She'd had a series of strokes over the past 7 years, and was a shadow of her former self, poor thing. Especially after her husband of 63 years died last summer. So her passing was a sort of blessing, but still a great loss. Makes me appreciate my own Grandma (who will be 90 in October, God bless her!) even more!

Awww, she LOVES you, Kay! Little baby kittens would be so cute!

My cat had kittens as well...they are so cute and eat like little piggy's

DO NOT EVEN LOOK IN MY DIRECTION!

I have an old dog and an old cat, and those will be the last of our pets, PERIOD!

Congraduations, I hope you have made several lifelong freinds during college as I have with our 4 Big Guys Group for close to 25 years now. We are going to DisneyLand this Oct.

Evening, all!

I am still feeling a bit wuckety today (dang bronchitis), so I mostly just relaxed and caught up on my rest. DH caught my bronchitis too, so he was chilling out with me. We've both been hacking all day. Hope Cel didn't get it. At least I was well into it and on antibiotics while we were at WDW.

Yesterday at the airport, I nearly managed to miss my flight because I realized I hadn't picked up one of my bags (containing my nebulizer) when I went through security and had to take the tram back to pick it up :sad1: Fortunately, they gave me a pass so I wouldn't have to wait through the entire security line again. But I still ended up overheated and very red in the face from trying to hurry back. One of the guys from the check-in counter helped me get situated on the plane. I had upgraded to business class so the flight attendant brought me some ice water so I could cool down. I'm glad they didn't give my seat away!!! I got some headphones and listened to the XM radio and had a couple drinks during the flight.

My friend who picked me up had had some dizziness and blurry vision from an inner ear problem on the drive to the airport, so she asked me to drive. We had to go to her house to pick her daughter up so she could drive her mom home after dropping me off where my hubby was for his friend's daughter's wedding reception. So it was after midnight when we met my hubby and the reception had been over for a couple hours. Needless to say, he was pretty grumpy by that point because he had figured I wouldn't be that late. So I pretty much just saw the puppies for a little while once we were home, then went to bed. I got Sukie a Mickey Mouse t-shirt - she looks really cute in it! I picked up a Pluto neckerchief for Jasper and Don didn't fuss too much about putting it on him, LOL :lmao: I'll get some pictures later in the week.

Sukie caught a baby rabbit last night and must have tried to eat some of it because she has been beurking and had the runs all day :scared: So cleaning that up has been loads of fun . . .

PJ - Glad your graduation went well! Cel and I were thinking about you yesterday.

Lex - Definitely keep your Raglan Road reservation. I had the Paddy's pork again and tried a bite of Cel's chicken and mushroom pie. Yum! I was too full for dessert, but they definitely have some good ones!!!

My favorite dessert this time was the banana and chocolate creme brulee at Kona Cafe.

I don't think I ever replied about what my entree at Yak & Yeti was called. It was the tempura shrimp. Delish! Cel ordered peanut sauce for the dim sum and it was great for dipping the shrimp. It also came with a spicy sweet and sour sauce which was tasty on the rice and veggies.

My favorite meal was the mushroom filet at LeCellier. I had it with mashed potatoes instead of the mushroom risotto. And cheese soup! :thumbsup2

And I am suffering post-Disney depression today.

Welcome back, Pumba and MommyP! Glad you both had nice visits!!!!!!!!!

I haven't read back yet but I will....

It rained all today and meant I had all my guests in my house instead of outside in the backyard. All went well though.

I don't know how people entertain a lot it really stressed me out to the losing 5 pounds. I guess that is a good thing.....:lmao:

Everyone loved the new kitchen, only we know what really has to be done yet. :rolleyes1 The new kitchen guy really worked his butt off on Friday to get my powder room almost done but useable and all the electrical stuff done in the kitchen. I asked him were was he weeks ago. They have to come back and do some small stuff.

So what do you want to see first the kitchen or Hannah's Communion?

Checking in.

Worked all day on the front yard landscaping.

I planted 25 spirea(sp?) shrubs, transplanted the rhod., DH rebuilt the cement blocks around the tree yesterday and I planted 2 flats of petunias there, and moved all the hosta.

Whew!

I wanted to take some pictures, but the lighting was bad, so maybe tomorrow.

Did anyone see the cupcake commercial yet with Kelly Rippa and electrolux?

I'm reading the Host right now from Stephenie Meyer and I think it's just as good as the Twilight books. Thanks for suggesting it Wendy.

Yikes, Moo, sounds like you had a stressful trip home

But glad you made it home ok and got to see the puppies.

I am going to try the filet next time at Le Cellier but with the risotto (Cel RAVED about the risotto, and I love mushroom risotto) but skip the soup, I cant do both. I thought the bread this time was just blahh too.Best pretzels I ever had and likely will ever have was in Germany from a little bakery next to my aunt's house in Bavria. To Die for!
But that was 45 years ago

DH went to bed today at 2 pm because he has to go to work at like midnight, and I totally forget to take a shower before he went to bed. I could go in the second bedroom, but I dont want to for some reason. It's DD's bathroom. So I have to do it in the morning, and drive to work with wet hair, cause no doubt I will have no time to dry it...

Hi Nabbie!!

Glad all went (relatively) well!

Of course communion pictures first! People are more important than things

My sister gave her a build a bear and matching outfit.

Nabbie, how totally adorable! I love Hannah, she looks so pretty. And Nicholas reminds me of a character from Robin Hood in his outfit, LOL

LOVE the dress and the hair! Eeryone looks just perfect!

Thanks Marita !!

I would have loved to cut Hannah's bangs more but she wants to grow them out.

She said tonight before she went to bed....mom I was spoiled today. And that she was. But I would rather call it loved.

Oh, Nabbie! Hannah looks so beautiful!!! And Nicholas cracks me up :lmao: Glad your house was finished enough for your party, but it sounds like it was pretty stressful. I thought of you and the kids Friday night while we were at the Pirate and Princess Party and we saw the Cinderella carriage :grouphug: Cel had her photo taken in front of it wearing her Giselle dress. We checked out the Cap'n Jack line but decided not to wait because it would have probably taken 45 minutes or more.

I will post some pics tomorrow night, I promise! I just have no energy today.

I am caught up on my games though ;)

Marita - I forgot to say earlier I was glad you got to talk with your son. Sounds like he is doing pretty well under the circumstances

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Full day yesterday and week from hell coming up this week. Prince Caspian was very good. I give it two thumbs up. A little too much sword fighting for me. :scared: But DS loved it and kept shushing Mimi and me.

Marita...Glad your boy is doing well! He sounds smart and tough. He'll be fine.

Moo...Still sick? :sad2: I'm so sorry! Sounds like you had fun anyway. Can't wait to see the pictures!

Pumba
....Happy Mothers Day! Again!

NAB....Hannah looks beautiful! (We have that lil crown!) Tell her congratulations AND happy birthday from the DIS friends! Nicholas has grown since last Sept. He looks older!

Monica....Are you exhausted? I was exhausted just reading what you did! I bet the yard looks great!

Lynette
.....So sorry to hear about SIL's loss. So many older people just fade away when they lose their spouse. I'm a little worried about my grandmother (who will also be 90 in October!) Granddaddy passed away in Jan. and she's already had a heart cath and is having her gall bladder out tomorrow.

PJ....Congratulations again, sweet girl! I loved your reflective post. Tell us what's up on the job interview front? Anybody out there deserve you?

Hound....Loved the picture of your kittens! :lmao:

Where's Rob? The ball park?

DTD
....Couldn't find time to post on your day off? :rolleyes1

Must've been nice in Misery this weekend. WT was scarce too.

Cel....Didja make it home OK?

Wendee....No pictures with Steph?

Twinkie? BNCG?

EVERYBODY HAVE A GOOD DAY!

Morning.

Little sore, but not like I thought I'd be.

watching the news before bed and they said cover your plants, there's a frost advisory out tonight:scared1:

I thought well, the nursery doesn't cover all those trees and shrubs, so, hopefully they'll be ok.

When I woke up, I didn't see any frost, so, hopefully they made it through the night.

I think I would have cried.

The sun is out! Hope you all have a nice day. You too Wheat Thins!

I almost slept in today but heard the trash people........ran like the dickens to get housecoat on and take out the trash....made it in time and also got the recycle bin out.......phewwwwwwwww.......

Our granddaughter got her grades while we were in Disney.......she had a 3.9 average for this semester and cumalative gpa was 3.88..she was a happy camper...because the two semesters were over a certain grade....she gets the Presidential pin too........

I just ate a bagel for breakfast with cream cheese of course and now am emjoying my coffee.......Egg lady is coming today cause I need eggs......hahaha..I love her eggs.....

well Back to the grind.....will check in later......

Melinda! I love your morning shout outs. I know they must take a lot of thought and effort so I just wanted to, again, show appreciation.

Nab- Love how snarky Nicholas looks. And Hannah is so pretty! What a special day!

Poom- I love your "egg lady is coming today. Love her eggs" comment! We have milk men who deliver our eggs :confused3

Moanica- don't fret! It was Summer yesterdee and today it's "April". Again. Whay are you sore? Is it a good story? heh.

Moo- SO glad your back! Did the humidity help you hork up whatever has infiltrated your lungs? Glad the flight was made in a timely manner.

PJ- So proud-a-you! :lovestruc

Hound- cute "kittens". We had baby "pinny-pigs" too once and it's amazing how fully grown they are at birth.

Kay-
did Emily the Stinky-Squirrel make her way back? I'm betting you'll be a kitten g'ma soon :rolleyes1 whether you want to or not. Uncle Tornado.

Good morning EVERYONE! :grouphug:
