OK, I need to do a bit more packing. I stocked up on Ziploc bags tonight at the store - they are essential for packing

I use them for all my packing needs. and when the kids were little, I would buy the great big ones and put a folded up outfit in each one complete with diaper or undies and socks. Every morning I would grab a bag and slip on the clothes. EPLS. Can I use that verbiage?

Our tooth fairy saves some teeth too. But that would be the DH and I predict that all the teeth are mixed up together in one bag which is lost. Just sayin.

I am a nurse, but the whole jar of teeth thing just kinda skeeves me out for some reason. I have no idea why.

My counter people came at 3:10 yesterday, and so did the gas guy to change the outside meter ( this one I didn't know about but apparently they phoned and sent me a letter) and my neighbour to do Hannah's hair for her pictures at the church. It was crazy.

That does sound busy, but at least it's done! w00t!!

So, our Realtor friend came over last night. Yada yada yada, pictures for our house listing to take place this week! THIS is scary and exciting all at once. Also, DH seems to love his new Transferable to TN job! And I discovered an old friend not only lives in Nashville, but also is a Real Estate agent there! Seriously, how lucky is that?

p.s. ITA on the body parts too. Whether it be teeth, umbilical cords, placentas, or pancreas'. It has a Stephen Kingesqueness to it. And while I enjoy a good SK novel, I do not enjoy collecting body parts. I do have a lock of each childs hair, so maybe I'm wIerd too.

I dunno if this is a southern thing or what, but when I walked on the porch in 4th grade and found my mom and my neighbor ripping up feather pillows, I was scarred for life.

See, the theory is that when you die, if you're going to heaven, you leave a halo of feathers in your pillow.
What *I* think it is is just sweat from the dead body clumping the feathers together.
At any rate, when my great great aunt died at home, she should've allegedly left one of these halos.
But the problem is, my mom couldn't remember which pillow she died on.
They ripped up several then stopped.
And for years I was askerred that I was sleeping on the pillow aunt maude died on.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to check in and let you all know I'm still alive. We've almost been here a month, although it doesn't seem like that long. We've enjoyed our time away from the norm. But are ready to get back to our brand new house that we had to leave. lol.

The weather is wonderful and it is just sooooooo pretty here.

We are planning on leaving on Saturday or Sunday and going to the Atlanta area for a few days. The exact number has not been determined yet. Then on the way home we're going to hit DTD and MK(using our 1 day passes that I've been saving for just such a time as this. So we should be home in a week and a half from now.

I'll be sure to let everyone know when we're home.

Speaking of body parts, I'm at the hacking up a lung stage today Arrrghhh! I decided to bail on attending the public meeting tonight, but I did go into the office for almost five hours today (after NO sleep whatsoever last night) to help finish getting handouts and such ready. I got a couple hour nap when I got home this afternoon.

No progress on packing so far today, but I had gotten most of it done last night . . . except deciding which shoes to take, doing one more small load of and throwing in the last minute things that I'll be using to get ready in the morning. I found my lanyard, but can't find the teeny, tiny wrench for the locking pin backs, so I guess I'll have to do any rearranging after I buy another bag of those little suckers! I found my left over trader pins too!!!

Lex, I'm not planning to take my aging laptop, just the batphone, but we should be able to upload a few pics using Cel's laptop and my adapter.

My tooth is still really tender today (and half the reason I couldn't sleep last night). I hope it is just a little swelling and is going to calm down in another day or so. I'm off to yet another Montessori school then to stalk a bbn. My life has become a blur of Montessori schools. Imagine that.

I don't think my daughter has been to WDW since '98, but she worked in food service at Universal one summer during college and I think that really put her off going to theme parks, in general. I'll tell her how lucky she is!

Moo-- I hear you on the gas for a truck. I am trying to get hubby to rethink getting another truck when the lease is up, but that would mean selling the trailer too.

Wow, you were crazy busy today, Nabbie! Hope you like how your new counter turns out.

My hubby has a small camper for the back of his truck, but he hasn't used it for a while, so he's trying to sell it. Do they have any rental resorts near you where you can semi-permanently park your trailer and use it as a "home away from home"? That way, maybe your hubby could haul it there, sell his truck, then maybe just borrow or rent a truck or Suburban down the road if you need to move the trailer back to your house. A lot of people do that here in Michigan. My brother and a friend of mine have gone that route in the past and the nice thing about it is they get to know their summer neighbors and have a lake to visit when it gets hot in the summer. My brother even kept a boat on his lot there.

Well, hubby should be back soon from taking the puppies for their "visit" to their cousins' house! Hope they do OK there. I need to get something to eat (I'm feeling a bit like Wendy when she was having her jaw issue and have been trying to find some things that are softer to chew - I made a grilled cheese sammie at 7 am this morning). And then, packing here I come

I have to share with the group that today the school I observed at is the school that the bbn offspring went to for 2 years. Anyway, I know the bbn had said they're crazy there, and I am here to verify that situation. WOW. I've never seen anything like it. Kids are allowed to do whatever they want...play outside, sit at the computer, read, anything goes. And apparently they do very poorly on the state achievement tests. Imagine that! Anyway, they give Montessori a BAD name. That is NOT Montessori, that is a free for all!!!!

In other news...bbn and I also found a ceramic horse today dressed in a derby outfit. Where that horse is now, I really couldn't say.
