Babynurse-- can't believe you got had "adventures" with a cousin. I am very think was his idea too...

Marita-- aww what a nice thing for your son to do for you. We don't want you to starve either.

Rosary making went will today with all the grade 2's. They were all so happy that they had there own rosary and could pick their colour they wanted. The boys picked aqua, orange and green. The girls all picked white, pink and purple. It was just like doing bead jewellery. The girls were very good at it for sure. We did have a few that had to be taken apart because they didn't have 10 beads spacer , an Our Father Bead ( which was a rose) and then spacer done 5 times then the other part to the cross at the bottom.

Hannah went to bed with hers so she could do it before she went to sleep.

That is sweet Nab about Hannah. I was raised catholic, but I have no idea anymore how to use a rosary.

The rosary is pretty easy Marita....the ten beads are Hail Mary's followed by a spacer or Glory Be then the Our Father another spacer and this is repeated 5 times then at the bottom is Glory Be , Our Father, Glory Be and three Hail Mary's then Glory Be ,Our Father. Just repeats itself.

My kitchen guy is now gone until next Wed. I am finally free to go shopping or do what ever. Waiting for the counters that come on Tuesday. Then the backsplash and electrical plugs , and ligh switches changed out to decor ones. Then he will work on the washroom . Vanity, counter and change to decor switches. We were also short one handle for the cabinets in the kitchen.

That pic was taken before we got dressed up for the family party I have every year,which always causes me great anxiety and work.

I dont ever remember Hail Maries or Our Father. I learned that in German, and my mind is confuzzled.

Thanks, BigL, I am going to be both very sad for DS to leave and excited for him to get to live his dream. It sounds like hell for the first six weeks even in Officer school. No time at all, even at night. We shall see how it goes.

Totally understandable, Marita. I can barely get through the night when my DS stays at my brother's house for a sleepover. It must be SO hard to think about yours being away like this. But obviously, you want him to live his dream too. Oh, the dilemmas of motherhood!

No our date is May 18th. They have 10 kids at each Mass for the month of May. Some of her friends are this weekend.

Since it is not the whole class at once they are doing class and individual pictures next Tuesday. At least I hope they are. It will be done at the church but the place the photographers come from had a fire last night in our little town the fire burnt down 4 histortic stores.

Hoping the kitchen and washroom is done by then.....My whole family is coming, some staying the weekend.

No, she vsited for 5-6 weeks a year since 1981, over X-mas, when my dad died. Which was great, cause it really made the kids bond with her.

Drove me nuts though....

She didn't understand much more than movies, so it was movies all the time. Or Talk shows she would usually misunderstand.

But bless her heart, she learned English at age 70!!!

That is why the kids love cabbage rolls and liver and onions, because of mom. She is a much MUCH better dook than I am.

Late night check in. I went out to dinner with a couple of my girlfriends and we had a great dinner. Practically had the whole front part of the restaurant to ourselves, so we chatted and chatted and had a nice waitress (who was well tipped).

Pumba and bbn, I was thinking good thoughts for you today too I'm so glad to hear things went OK today.

PJ, glad you made it home safely last night. I'm glad I'm too old to remember those super late nights finishing assignments in college!!!

they are getting married Jan '09 so the theme is winter and color is Navy with accents of yellow and white (her fav is yellow roses!!) I just bought a case of champagne for the wedding It was on sale, we sampled it for a couple of weeks - maybe 3 bottles, here there and here again.. for $2.99 a bottle on sale its Luna de Luna - but it was in a BLUE BOTTLE!! (its a chardonnay too!! goog stuff!)

I received 27 Dresses (the movie!) in the mail today. I'm trying to organize a neighborhood girl movie/appetizer/drink/drool over James Marsden night tomorrow night.

That sounds like a ton o' fun!!! Margaritas??! I need to get that DVD. Think I may buy it. I loved that movie. James Marsden was good in it.

I was kiddingly telling him to go get me a Jr Whopper and fries tonight since I am working. He said no, as expected. Then he left.

Wow, that sounds like a really bad fire. I'm always sad when historic buildings like that are lost. Sure hope your remodel gets done on time!!!

GOOD MORNING!

So I made out a calendar of all Emily's practices and events in May and it'll keep me hopping for the next little bit. Along with the many practices for the three shows she's in, she also has a trip to KY Kingdom and a trip to King's Island in the same week. I know. Thank goodness I didn't sign DS up for lil league.

Wendee....One goog thing about DH is that he was raised in a house with his mom and two of his sisters. I've never found the seat up in the bathroom. Ever.

Marita....Great legs! Where's DTD? I'm sure he'll have a comment. (and is that a Disney shirt you're wearing?) I know you're gonna miss your son. I can't even imagine if that was my boy.

Moo....Ooops. My boss is a girl too.

We are so lucky to have such a great group..right here on this thread......it is amazing.......you guys (and I hope I have helped to) lift people up when they are down......you are there for our good annoucements as well as the bad ones...you make us all laugh when the going gets tough....what more can any FRIEND ask for.....you guys are truly the definition of friends.......I thank you from the bottom of my heart...

I had to copy the rosary info......I thought I was doing it right......When Mama passed away she did have her rosary with her.....but I asked my brother if I could have them please.........the director at the funeral home (also a friend of family) put a replacement in with her...that was last December..I have her..they are over 70 years old and they are so beautiful.......she must of known that I wanted them because the letters we all received from her.....(after) she told me that she had these beads before she even met my daddy....so over 70 years...

Today the sun is out and the morning birds were YELLING out there....mostly blue jays and a few robins in the area.......then those dang black crows screaming and the seagulls looking for a handout........geesh.......
