Wow Marita you have some great legs there.....That picture was taken Christmas Eve? Weren't you cold...

The rosary is pretty easy Marita....the ten beads are Hail Mary's followed by a spacer or Glory Be then the Our Father another spacer and this is repeated 5 times then at the bottom is Glory Be , Our Father, Glory Be and three Hail Mary's then Glory Be ,Our Father. Just repeats itself.

My kitchen guy is now gone until next Wed. I am finally free to go shopping or do what ever. Waiting for the counters that come on Tuesday. Then the backsplash and electrical plugs , and ligh switches changed out to decor ones. Then he will work on the washroom . Vanity, counter and change to decor switches. We were also short one handle for the cabinets in the kitchen.

Nab how are you cooking? It sounds like it will be worth it!! I also wanted to say how sweet it is when they take their faith with them!! Its such a good thing!

Marita YOU are beautiful!! Lovely legs... (and if you complain about your legs, I should be so ashamed of mine! When I was pg with dd - we took the boys to wdw - and I did commando park touring, ds told daddy "there she is just follow the purple legs daddy" Vericose Veins :faint:

Lexi schedule some time just for you!!

Pumba :goodvibes That is such a perfect sentiment - and then you go and post about "mooing" and "grunting" :rotfl2: Truly I LOL!! (and since I'm subbing w/ 8th graders... hmmmm :rotfl2: ) I guess I have to be jealous, but I'm not, I'm happy for all y'all!! Take notes! REPORT BACK!!

PSA - Paperclip Day May 2

(I'm tempted to post on the CB also)
May 2nd is Holocaust Remberance Day, its an internationally recognized day of remberance... to remember those who suffered, and were murdered in the Holocaust, those who have suffered genocide, and those who currently suffering genocide now..

Why Paperclips?
During WW11 Norwegians wore paperclips on their collars to show that they disapproved and wanted to stop the Holocaust...Paperclips were worn to show a person's disapproval of the Holocaust, and to irritate the Nazi parties. People also wore them to show resistance. However, wearing a paperclip could have resulted in arrest....

well.....mama is finally next to her sweetie (my dad).......it was so wonderful to see so much of our family....almost 30 and alot of little people.....her great great grandkids.....the service was just a graveside service as she had a Mass in December ....So after the service the kids were encouraged to look into the vault where mama was lowered in and had flowers on her casket too....after we went to a restaurant.....well 17 of us did......all in all ....its nice to have a family as big as ours...
Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts today....I appreciated it ..believe me...:lovestruc
, prayers, and good thoughts to you Pumba.

AND

Why oh why must there be snow on the ground today when it's MAY? :confused3 I am SOOOO moving. Remember what I always say about inclement weather? It inadvertently throws off my lazy groove cuz DH is home and I have to look busy. :sad2: Grrr. Now, our mission is to declutter the house of all unnecessary accoutrement as we have my realtor friend coming over this week.

Wendee....One goog thing about DH is that he was raised in a house with his mom and two of his sisters. I've never found the seat up in the bathroom. Ever.

Only one goog thing?

I found the toilet seat culprit!!! It's Riley. I told him if he left the seat up EVER again, he would be required to SIT LIKE A GIRL for the rest of his life...his eyes got big  with the horror.

Pumba and BBN:

I have a boat load today and my help cancelled. :scared1:

I'll be right over! I have an easy day, besides the big 48 year old kid following me around everywhere.

We are so lucky to have such a great group..right here on this thread......it is amazing.......you guys (and I hope I have helped to) lift people up when they are down......you are there for our good annoucements as well as the bad ones...you make us all laugh when the going gets tough....what more can any FRIEND ask for.....you guys are truly the definition of friends.......I thank you from the bottom of my heart...

Today the sun is out and the morning birds were YELLING out there....mostly blue jays and a few robins in the area.......then those dang black crows screaming and the seagulls looking for a handout........geesh.......

Have a good day my friends........hugs to all

OH YAH.....countdown is 8 days.....
Dang! I wish I was going!

Yelling birds? :lmao:

This IS a good group! :grouphug:

Yah yelling birds.........sometimes when Megara goes to the front window and barks up a storm.......I say..."MEGARA STOP THE YELLING" she is yelling in her own way.....as are those dang morning birds that yell or scream while I am in bed......geesh.....

Did I mention how snow days work in Memphis???

We had one once. They cancelled school. All the other dads stayed home from work. Everyone started baking cinnamon rolls and serving hot chocolate. I think I saw some flakes that melted 20 feet before they hit the ground.

THAT just made my day!

:rotfl:

Oh it is even funnier. This happened the year after we moved from Minnesota to Tennessee. So we had our "Snow" Day... which was a Friday I think, all I remember is the next week at school no one would sit by me and all the kids were talking about how I was rich and stuck up.

:confused3

HUH?

Then I find out that my BFF and next door neighbor told everyone that we must be REALLY rich because we "had special clothes AND boots for when it snowed."

My friend had never known anyone who had a snowsuit in real life before. :rotfl2:

Richie-Rich High-falooting snow gear!

We had one pair of galoshes that we would use when it snowed. We'd put layers of socks on and we had to use ponytail elastics to close them.
and we never knew where any gloves were, so my mom would put socks on our hands

we actually had a sled for a long time that belonged to my great great aunt. When it broke, we used garbage bags or cardboard.

No, I promise I'm not white trash.
heeeee!

an opposite story!

My relatives came to visit us for 4th of July (we lived in Indiana, NW IN is considered a suburb of Chicago however!! lol) from Texas, north of Dallas, in the mid 70's I believe...

and we had a "cold front" move thru ... we dug out our winter gear for them!! :rotfl2: Hats, coats, gloves, long underwear!! :rotfl2: and blankets - we sat on the side of the expressway on folding lawn chairs, and everyone that passed us mentioned "Oh, they must be visiting from the South" :rotfl2:

(we just had blankets, and jeans, and sweatshirts, it really wasnt THAT bad!!)

They never visited us again!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sandy, lord help me, I SWEAR one of these days I'm flying to your house to show you how to use the user CP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(this is said with tons of love, I promise!)

Sandy! I loooove your location!

Growing up in the beautiful Southern CA Valley (Valley Girl, Fer Sure) I had the same mint-green "winter coat" from 7th grade till age 20. I had to have it when we'd go to Big Bear (Mountain). I think it was worn a half dozen times. I STILL have my Mork & Mindy Moon Boots :rotfl2: Although they used to be worn with leg warmers over pegged tiiiiiiight jeans

Moonboots JEalous!! Seriously I got to borrow my dad's moon boots to wear to a BEARS Game one year... it was 30 BELOW Zero - best game ever!!

Hold the phone! Did I or did I not make a post on here several hours ago?!?!?

Where the heck is it? can y'all see me? am I invisible? what gives?

Gr8. Now I have to remember all the nice sweet wonderful things I said.

gimme a sec, I'll make an attempt at this.:sad2:

Nab: Of course it was my cousin who thought up the wild and crazy adventures, I was angelic, dontchaknow? How was shopping?

Marita: Gosh, I can only imagine how hard it is to watch your babies grow up and follow their dreams. Loved the picture.

Moo: Girls night out. Woo Hoo!

Monica: Sorry your help canceled. :guilty:

Pumba: Yes, we do have a great group. ITA

PJ: Didya catch up on your sleep?

Celery: Ragtag bunch seems fitting.;)

Utah: Did you get Troy's autograph?

Twinkie:
PERFECT description of a snow day.

Sandy: Are you admitting guilt in the lardbottom remark? lol

My last post was much sweeter and nicer and included everybody who has ever posted anything on this entire thread.:rolleyes1

Went shopping but didn't get a sweater or tights. Everything is summer stuff now why would I want a sweater.... And all the other little girls making their First Communion must have snatched up all the tights. :confused3

Did go to Sam's Club and Costco. Wanted to buy a huge jar of Dill pickles but didn't because I know it would not fit in my fridge with everything else, but it was so cheap.

Twinkie-- save that sweater with the roller skate on it. When Hannah got her inline skates they had roller skates right beside them at Walmart. I told her maybe she would like them they were pink and baby blue, she said now way.

When we moved here we had a huge honking snowblower because we came for a snow belt area and they laughed and said we wouldn't need it, well this winter who was laughing.
