Pumba, I too am sorry to hear about your friends passing.

A long time friend of the family lost his 26 year old son last Sunday. They found him. He had a brain anerism. So sad, they harvested everything they could and his funeral was Saturday. Parents should not have to bury their children. It just isn't right.

I picked October to get married because I did not want to be hot in my gown. This is one hot summer for sure.

My sister is in Seattle with her family. They board the Disney Wonder tomorrow for their Alaskan Cruise. I can't wait to see all of the pictures.

3 more weeks for us! What are the chances a cold front will go through Orlando that week?

Pretty sure I broke my toe. Second one from the end. I slid down the stairs a few steps, luckily I was hanging on the banister and caught myself, but my toes got the brunt of the force. It is purple and blue and swollen and hurts.

I haven't tried to put on shoes other than my crocs. It hurt trying to put a sock on this morning.

Hopefully 20 days is long enough for it to heal, or I am in trouble.

Marita-- we have been having hot weather here, I'm sure it will feel hotter down there at the same temp. They say on the ship there will be a warm breeze to help out on the water. Hope so.

Hubby wants to get the trailer out too. I thought since we were doing the cruise I could miss a long trip this year. Nope , and not much notice either. Be ready Friday he says. So I will have a few busy days ahead of me. We are heading to the East Coast to see some of my relatives so I can't complain. Haven't been down in a few years. Have to call my mom and see if she is up for another trip. She just got back from being out west with my sister.

We leave Aug 5, we arrive Aug 6 in Kissimmee, we are staying for a week but are considering adding a few more days. Maybe through the 15th. Not sure yet.

It's gonna be 102 today in SE MI, so what's a little FL sun?

Got to talk to my sister yesterday on her cruise, this is her first cruise and hearing the excitment in her voice was cool. I've been on a few when I was young and single, sigh.

I can't wait to see her pictures!

TOE BREAKAGE...that would be ME ...Queen of the toes...Put a piece of gauze between the toes and tape them together...not tight ...but enough to give it a happy feeling...and crocs are the way to go...dont wear flip flops cause someone will most likely get to close to you and you can feel the pain (even if they dont touch it) but the pain goes right up to the head...

it has been wicked hot in Maine too...just got out of the pool...with Scottie...
we just went and lowered our body temp...then came in and omg the house is freezing...cause of the ac on...

So hope you all have a good night and no thunder boomers for us or for you...we had severe thunderstorm warnings a wee bit ago...but the sky is a funny shade of beige or something...weird

Well today was a bit cooler maybe by 5 degrees but it seemed so much more.

We are heading out with the trailer on Friday so I am busy making small piles all over my living to pack in the trailer tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be busy since I have to pick up my mom , then get back home for Nicholas baseball game and pack the trailer. Hubby is taking the cat to grandpa's and then going to get the trailer.

Mony -- how is your toe? I have never broken a bone so have no idea how much pain it would be. Stubbing a toe is bad enough.

Pumba-- we were suppose to get a big storm last night but got nothing. Not even the rain that we truly need.

Marita-- Congratulations on 40 years of service. Just saw the chocolate cake on FB . My gosh that looks heavenly. Love the chocolate roses. Usually I leave the rose they are too sweet but I would eat them.

Maybe I didn't break my toe afterall. It still hurts and today the discoloration is almost gone. Probably a good bruise.

Terrible news about the shooting in CO. I just dont understand the world sometimes.

We are in Maine right now at a KOA . Kids are having a blast here. Seem to stay at this one everytime we go though. It is super soaker weekend so lots of water balloons, water guns, water everything. And free ice cream who wouldn't like it.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Too many work and personal things going on lately. I've mostly just been on FB lately.

hello..
All hell broke lose the last few weeks...My SIL who had her kidney removed last December ...well she was told in April that the uretha cancer that was removed too...was a very agressive cancer...
She had a scan and they found a small spot to close to her stomach aorta...this is also cancer and they cant remove it...she went to the oncologist yesterday and he said it is terminal...it will just keep spreading ...they can only do radiation right now...
They are going to ask for a second opinion and possibly go to Mass. for this ..
I hated to even say anything ...because we always wish for a better outcome for anything...My brother and SIL have been married the same as we have...we were married in May and then they got married in September...she just retired in january too...so why do we all wait to retire and then die.....

sorry to have such awful thoughts today...but needed to get it off my chest without anyone saying anything ..
You guys were my vent....cause I know you all now...
SO just dont say anything.......but my sound off friends....thanks

Pumba, my heart goes out to you and your family. I am very sorry about this news. I will keep her in my prayers. If you want to pm me her name, I can ask our prayer groups to include her. I totally believe in the Power of Prayer.


The weather has cooled down over here so I can finally clean out my car and get it ready for our trip.

Matt has had camp the last two weeks for socialization skills. He loves it and after last year I did see a difference in him in which he made a few friends, was and still is invited over to "hang" with others his age. I wish he would be the reciprocater of that behavior. He never askes, "Hey can I have a friend over?" Baby steps, I guess.

11 days!

Oh, I got a phone call from a teacher asking me to be her elementary education student teacher. I have two placements this fall, one is my focus, Cognitively Impaired and the other is General Education of the area I am teaching which is Elementary aged students.

She picked me because she liked my background and that I am a WSU student where she graduated from. It's for Kindergarten but these kids have some special needs. I am so excited! Sounds like a great fit!



I wish school would just start already!

Mony, great news, I saw it over on FB.

Nothing new here. Work is so slow, I decided to take tomorrow off too, so now I have a 4 day weekend

New furniture (well, TV console and dining set) come Friday and the new TV on Saturday. So tomorrow I'll make sure everything is ready to be hauled away and whatever else needs to get done, and finally color my hair which I am woefully behind on again.

Life is definitely keeping us busy, took Zack to the ER for severe abdominal pain and this morning he is recovery from having his appendix removed.

Unbelievable! He is recovering and Tim told me he is up and walking and asking to eat.

I was with them through the surgery and come home at 6 am to take a nap and get my other kids ready for their day plus I had a foot dr apt. Matt is at his last day of camp and we will head back to hospital so Tim can go home he has been there since 8pm. They operated at 2:30am.

monica...so sorry about your sons sudden surgery...but they sure get them up and out fast after having them removed...Just like our daughters gall bladder..in and out and home you go...geesh..
our son was in from Saturday til Friday of the next week with his appendix operation...his had burst and they had to make sure he was free from the germs...or whatever it is ...

Hope that you all have a great day and weekend..it is raining and I am kinda glad...just a relax around the house type of day...

I'm here, sipping the coffee, already emptied the dishwasher, emtied the sink, put the a load in the dryer and the washer, gave the baby a shower (she peed the bed ugh! hence the reason the wash is going and she got her shower), and picked up the kitchen. I have a ton to do!

Zack is in pain, gave him a motrin 800. They said the thrid day would be the worst. Hope that helps.

It cooled off tremendously! Last night's sleep I actually used a blanket.



Out of milk again! We go through a gallon a day and I don't drink it.
