Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

7 is a great age for running parents ragged in Disney...Fast pass is one of the most important things.....if it is busy ...run ahead and get the fast passes for where they want to go ..LIKE TOY STORY MANIA...my all time favorite and Soarin'....love that one too..
Breaks during the hot part of the day...and go Swimming...get some of those fans at Walmart...the ones that have water out of them...cheaper then spending fifteen or twenty bucks for them at Disney...

I am anxious for them ...but anxious for me too...ask your PT if he or she would like a postcard from Mickey to his son...I am sending one out when we get to Disney for some person that posted on the Fairy Godmailer list....I can do it for him too...let me know and send me a private message with the address..if they dont mind a PIG sending their son a welcome to Disney card...hahaha

have a good day everyone..

Great suggestions, Pumba! I'll check with my therapist to see if he'd like a Mickey postcard for his son and will PM you if he does :)

Moo, yes, the dinner was for hubby's birthday. But my real hidden agenda was to get DD and the BF to come along so I could get to know him a little better, heehee. He seems like a nice guy.

Hope you get your pain meds, surely somebody is covering for your Dr.

A couple of tips I thought of that I read all the time is to hit the parks at rrope drop. You can get a lot of things done in a short period before the masses come. Also I hear avoiding parks that have EMH since they are the most crowded. That depends on their tickets and plans though.

Also, they now enforce FP return times, so you have to go within your window; can't just go whenever anymore. But I have read they are accomodating if a ride goes down, etc.

Marita--saw you were in the park last night. As my mom would say it going to storm .....the unthinkable happened. :lmao: So did you grill the poor guy...Can't even imagine what it would be like when the kids actually bring someone home to meet. All Nicholas girlfriend have only talked to him on the phone or computer. Haven't met one yet.

Moo-- I too hope you can get your pain meds. I don't think I have any advice either. We don't go all commando so we too take breaks and go back to the parks.

We spend the day with my MIL at the hospital. She looked better today then when I was up on Friday. Still haven't problems breathing and swallowing so she is not eating or drinking and that is what landed her in the hospital. I wasnt' sure if I should take the kids or not but they were pretty good with it all. They were more interested in her roomate. The lady was green. Her skin that is, never saw anything like it. At first I thought it was jundice but it wasn't yellow, it was jolly green giant green. We left Hannah's homemade card and flowers. Not sure grandma knew we were there. She was in and out. But I was really taken when Nicholas took her hand and told her to get better soon. Her hand is full of calcuim bumps and she is very frail so I was surprised that he did that. We are always scared of breaking her when we hug and kiss her.

so hard to see love ones so frail and ill....My prayers will be with her and your family...

Today is a quiet day...I asked for the week off because so much was going on...today I am emptying the china closet and getting the plants into another room...all breakables have to be removed before the floor can be put down in the kitchen and dining area...and then thursday the carpet goes in...so i will be moving stuff OUT ...why do I have so much in that china closet I have no clue...I do have my families Roseville pottery and my mil's...I love it...the designs and sort of colors are so neat...

Man came and said that they will be here shortly to start the removal of the stuff on the outside of the house and prepping it for the siding...windows wont be here for another week so the prep work will be all done...roof is done and it looks so nice...I love it..yah I am excited about a roof...hahaha..

see ya later gators

Pumba, wow, you WILL have a whole new house by the time you are done. You should post some pictures.

Nab, I only did some very slight drilling, LOL, I didnt want to get DD upset. Found out he graduated at the height of the recession with a degree in computer animation. Oh dear... Nice guy though.

Nothing much to report here, another forecast week, but it's really a non-event anymore. They removed one requiredment and Port is a lot easier (no DVC).

I have to admit ...I dont know how to post photos.....I finally got one on facebook...but dang if I know how to do it here...

Hubby and I just went to lowes...Home Depot and Lowes are our favorite "candy" store..hahaha...I did see a neat seat I would like for the outside decks...will get those after we come home from Disney...I need one to make sure we have company they can sit too..

The fridge and stove are now in the living space upstairs and all the chairs are either in the guest room or in the other room...I am pooped..but anxious for the floors to be done...
So wont be able to cook supper tomorrow....wonder if we will go to Margaritas for supper...I can do that ya know..

have a good night all

Pumba-- your house will look beautiful after your floors are in and new windows. I have a photobucket account. This lets you upload photos from your computer easy. Once they are uploaded it will give you codes ( use the IMG one) that you can cut and past to this reply post using that yellow postage stamp icon up top. Just paste it there , I find I have to delete the extra hptt/ to get the picture to show up. Not sure if that makes sense.... Would love to see you pictures.

Sandy--How did your Spring Break go? How was Harry Potter? And that scary hotel you talked about?

Hubby had me out looking at fifth wheel trailers day. There are some nice ones out there but they seem so big to me on the outside and high. I hear that this comes after the tent, tent trailer and travel trailer.....home away from home that is for sure.

The weather has been nice the last few days. Hope it keeps up for the long weekend. Kids are off Friday and Monday for Easter. I bought 36 eggs to dye. We do love egg salad sandwiches.

Nab, egg salad sandwiches sound good, I have some I need to use up (cooked).

I got a bit of a surprise at work today. A person at All-Star is leaving, so I got volunteered to support AS as well as Port, which is fine with me because Im not busy enough. We'll see how that goes.

I'm glad tomorrow is Friday.

PS: I posted a funny story about DH on FB, I laughed so hard.

Marita-- are you working tomorrow. Everything here will be closed for Good Friday. Kids are off for Easter Monday too. I get to sleep in :woohoo: I did see you story on FB too funny.

Tomorrow I will let the kids dye eggs, well at least Hannah, Nicholas has lost interest. She is ok with that more for her to do. Head to my Mom's on Saturday, hubby works all weekend nights so he won't miss us.

Moo-- How is your knee doing?

morning all.
FLoor in the kitchen and dining area is done but ...big big butt...there seems to be either a glob of glue under a foot long one inch wide area that didnt go down or it is a seam in the under floor...I was so upset that I cried...so we cancelled the carpet installation for yesterday as the carpet in two parts were going to go over the inlay...so Monday the supervisor comes and looks at it...I wanted it to look nice for Easter dinner...so some of the stuff that is in two of the bedrooms needs to come back out and PLACED SOMEPLACE...cause granddaughter and her beau are coming today and staying until tomorrow...just a short visit...she has to go back cause Easter is in at the house she is staying at...her beaus family loves Kaitlynn and she has been there all this past year of school...so they could save money ...They even made the very masculine bedroom into a girly girl room for her...they are wonderful people..

Today the house noise is back...happens every day about this time...at eleven thirty we head to the next town over for hubbies carpal tunnel surgery...thank goodness workmans comp will take care of it and pay him for the six weeks out of work...they do the second surgery in two weeks...

Sun is finally coming into the house...so I will take my shower and get ready for the day..
Have a great day my friends and HAPPY EASTER to you all

Nabbie - I was sad to hear about your MIL's health issues. Glad to hear you'll be visiting your Mom for the holiday weekend. Mari was supposed to visit this weekend, but David is having a kidney stone problem, so she is staying home with him and will try to visit next weekend.

Knee healing is continuing to come along. I moved my Dr. appointment up from Tuesday noon to Monday morning since I am (literally) itching to get the staples removed. They should have come out this week, but the surgeon is on vacation.

Pumba, sorry to hear about the flooring installation issues :( I hate when they do stuff like that. I will take you up on the Mickey postcard offer - will send you the name/address via PM.

Marita, loved your funny story! I think we have all done that at one time or another, LOL!!!

Hi everyone!!

we had a magical time! I'm posting a trip report on the Universal trip report board if you want to see lots of pictures!

The scary hotel was ... scary - it did make us appreciate the Royal Pacific hotel all that much more! :rotfl2: (the a/c didnt work, called them around 11pm - they "fixed" it - at 2am or so when it would come on or go off it was so dang loud - but we were in our jammies, it was 2AM!! The bathroom was rusty, gross, peeling paint, just yucky!)

Harry Potter -was ALL THAT and more!! :cool1: The Forbidden Journey ride was intense! Talk about 3D and motion - amazing! I guess its like Sum of all Fears - your seat (4 people in a seat) would go back - during the womping tree area - it was wild! and my mom, 74 years old, rode it. Once! DD rode it a lot!

My friend who is a CM (reservation center) got us tickets - so we went to Disney 2 days - the second day we went from 10am - 12am I wrote down everything we did - 38 or 39 things!! (that included eating and riding the monorail over to Epcot btw - then back to MK!) My poor mom! I didnt have my shoes, so my foot swelled something fierce - at 10:45pm I found a store open, and bought some good walking shoes!!

I am too fat (I barely fit on FJ - thanks to the workers who pushed the seat down) so when I got back I joined this fancy schmancy Health Club - the club has a lot of people - lots of sizes. They have a few classes with a trainer that I've been to - they are kicking my rear! I just hope I can stick with it!

so now I'm trying to clean house, clean dogs, prepare for a Seder dinner, prepare for an Easter dinner - its overwhelming sometimes!

some pictures!

Meagan and I in Florida's Sanibel Island - it was a cloudy day, so it was awesome, we picked a lot of shells - and in the ocean there were several dolphins we couldnt get pictures of!! :rotfl:

we ate at DTD and had dessert at Goofy's!

It was so beautiful at night!

Hi Sandy, I'm glad you had a good time, yay! Your hotel report reminds me of a hotel we stayed at ages ago near the keys, we called it the Bates Motel. Roaches in the room and holes in paper thin bedspreads. Luckily, at that time I was unaware about how unfreqeuently those are cleaned, yuck.

Hope the excercise works for you. I am pinning my hopes on Thyroid pills, I'll find out Monday.

Oh, for another general dr appts that never end update: So both Dr's have been bugging me to get a mammogram, which i have never done. So we have free mammograms at Disney on certain dates via a mobile service. Great, so I called today to make an appt. She asked me what my prescription said. "diagnostic screening and ultrasound". Oh, she says, we cant do ultrasound there, you will have to come to our other offices.
Great, so there goes another few hours. Is there a fee for that? Yes there is. The last ultrasound I had for thyroid cost me $357!!!
So I think I will ask the doctor I see Monday for the ultrasound for thyroid result if I really NEED the ultrasound for mammogram or can just get away with regular, and also call back and see if there is a charge for the mammogram if I go the the office vs. free if I go to the Disney place 5 minutes away. I am getting REALLY tired of all these Dr. appointments. Every time I think I'm done, they come up with another test for me to do.:guilty:

PS: Never been anywhere at Universal

Dang, I lost my post!

Sandy - Glad to hear that you survived the scary hotel! Sounds like you had a decent trip overall!!!

Marita - You definitely need a baseline mammogram if you haven't had one!

Hubby and I went to dinner at Outback tonight. It was pretty tiring for me. Bummed that my DD is not coming for Easter due to her boyfriend's kidney stone :( Sure hope she can visit next weekend.

Quite a bit of knee pain today, making it harder to do my exercises :(

So glad that the staples will be removed on Monday!

Hope everyone has a very HAPPY EASTER!!!

MM...I am sorry you are in pain...My brother had pain when HE DID TO MUCH...even if it was just walking and NOT REMEMBERING TO DO HIS EXERCISES..
I got my results back from my pap and mamo...thank you Lord I am good ...I always wonder...and worry...but okey for the year..

I remember when I did my first baseline for a mamo...I was scared to death...but with the new digital...the squishing is a piece of cake...hahaha..

Hubby is doing good after his surgery...he has a little tingle of pain and is managing it well...

Just finished making the two pies...and now to do the PEELING OF THE veggies..and potatoes..

MM I would be glad to do this for your PT...send me the addy and I will put it with the other persons family address to send out postcards...I am excited to do this...Paying back for the others that sent my grandkids cards two years ago and then this year too...THE KIDS are sooooo excited as I am too...it is another chilly day...low 40's and no sun as of now..

The house workers found rot in the wood on the side under the deck upstairs...so that had to be floated and then replace all the rotted wood ...the idiot that built this house and deck forgot about the flashing so the water would not erode like it did.......I cried when the code enforcement man came and he was so kind and said ...Mike will fix it up and it will be brand new...dont worry..better to find it now then if the deck fell out and the side of the house went down a few inches on that side.....OY OY OY..:confused3..
so another unforeseen payment for the wood to do the beams and under it and around it and the area of the window and more insulation that was MOLDED...oy oy oy..

Okey I am off for now..

HAPPY EASTER and I do love you all

Pumba - I'm happy to hear that your hubby is doing well after his surgery :thumbsup2 Pretty sure I didn't overdo yesterday, but maybe it was the after effects from the previous day?! I'll try to strike a happy medium today.

My DD's boyfriend still has not passed the kidney stone. When I texted her for an update and to wish them a Happy Easter, she said he'd been in bed the past two days :(

Still trying to decide what to make for dinner today before we go to the store to pick up a few things. Hubby is not too fond of ham, so I am thinking about getting one of those turkey breasts that you can cook from a frozen state. Hmmm. Or maybe making some fried chicken. I haven't made that for ages!

Happy Easter Everyone!

My weekend was cut short at my mom's. My MIL took a turn for the worse early this morning. We got a call at 6:30 that everyone should come to the hospital (actually I got the call on hubby's phone in turn had to call home to see if he was home from work yet, phone tag for a bit). She was in distress couldn't breath. The family had to decide if they wanted her to be put on a ventalator. They did this knowing she may never get off it. They did other tests and found out that she also had a stroke and her right side is affected. It was hard on me because I was at my mom's and wasn't there for them first thing. Hubby went right after night shift so by the time he came home he was up 28 hours. It is now another wait and see, so tomorrow will be another hard day.....

Didn't even get to play the Easter bunny yet since Hubby was suppose to hide the egg in the morning before we came home. Poor Hannah just said she hopes the Easter Bunny will come tomorrow.
