Sorry about your DD being a pain today...I think all the kids go thru this...plus full moonitis..and maybe pmsing ...even some do that before their time....go figure...I am always a pleasant HAPPY GO LUCKY UGLY person.....as my husband calls it...hahahah..

Hi Everybody,

I thinked I m in the Roach Motel, they checked me in but wont let me check out. First they gave me a CT scan and checked me in for obersvation, the am MRI and 2 MRAs (Nrain, head and neck). Seems i have 2 arteries in the back of the neck half closed up, but they can do that with aspirin unless it gets worse, but then they took a second CT scan and found something suspicios on my lung, so then I did and CT scan for the lungs. Now im wating for a lunch specialist Doubefull they let me out tonight either. But huppy finally brought me my lap top today so at least I can in. I feel fine, really, i just want to get out of here!! This is costing a fortune even after insurance!

Sandy, congrats on hubby's job, that is fabulous news!!

good golly Miss Molly - sorry to hear you have checked in, but they wont let you check out!

I am glad that they are running the tests, and that they WILL make sure you are healthy before they let you check out! (and dont get us started on Insurance )

I'm thinking you must be getting regular meals, and I'm thinking they are sooooo delicious, you just dont want to leave! How's the jello?

Glad your hubby brought your lifeline (ie your computer!)

Can't believe the weather we are having for Dec. They are spring like ones. Suppose to be like this all week.

CHecking in again from home this time!!!

After waiting for hours for the lung specialist and he still hadn't shown up, the nurse checked on me and I almost cried, so she volunteered to see if she could nudge him on a little. Came back and said she had. The a while later, she came back again and said the Dr said just to let me go home and he'll see me at his office in a week, WOOHOO!!

So, back to work tomorrow, have to take a baby aspirin a day and see the artery specialist in 5-6 weeks on top of the lung guy, other than that i'm fit as a fiddle.

Now remember DOCTOR PIG here says you have to eat three meals a day ...do like a diabetic diet or a WW diet...healthy and you need to eat...cause i want you to...

Marita your home! I bet you are sitting nice and comfy in on your couch. Have you had any other symptoms to know these things were wrong? Tired, short of breath? Good thing you stopped smoking a while ago. Or did you start again?

Morning everyone..

Marita...how are you feeling today...Hope that you are okey...

The sun is out but the FROST was here...14 again this morning.......hmmm maybe my temp thing is stuck...NOPE cant be cause yesterday it was up to 38...a warm feeling when I sat in the kitchen in the sun..

I could of slept in but didnt..got up the same time as always...only good thing is that I didnt take a shower yet or get dressed...drinking my leaky coffee and had an onion bagel for breakfast...I do that once a week.....cause they are MORE CARBS than I am supposed to have...

OH GREAT NEWS...My sil was discharged last night ..right after she ate some food...My brother was so excited...he missed her so much...

HMmm now what else..OH yah...My daughter told her boss that her parents are taking her to Florida (this was after they got done talking about hiring new ed support system people in January) and he said WHEN...she said MAY...and he said.....oh no problem ..that is great...Last year we wanted her to go with just hubby and I but she didnt ask...and when she told him ...he said YOU should of gone...see ...she needs this..

Martia - Take care of yourself! You're too young to have a stroke. My Dad went from 56 to an old man in a day when he had his. I hope that your lungs turn out okay.

I'm watching "The Doctors" and a lady called in saying she had what was described to her as a mini stroke, and was released and is going to see specialist in a week - should she be nervous! AND it wasnt Marita!! This is what I remember of the reply that she'll need a
EKG, and a look at the heart to make sure there is no coming permanent stroke window of opportunity to get it checked out - if it all checks out - you'll be fine..

Hope work went OK - and every one is helping to make your life stress free!!



welcome home indeed!

DD stayed up ALL night - I gave up and fell asleep at 4:30 am - so I was pretty worthless all day today - still trying to shore up some details. Bought one Christmas present! (for DD!) DH is finishing his week with old company (a contract) and he is so looking forward to Monday! (new company - - LOL at the name of the new company - really - red hat!)

Mommy P-- Love the pictures! They are so cute! And growing fast.

Pumba-- we are having spring like weather here still. Only wore a spring coat again today...love it.

Sandy -- I had the Doctors on today too and heard the same thing. I was baking cookies and the time so I was only listening.

So I have soft molasses, peanut butter, turtles, chocolate krispie, gingerbread men and had chocolate chip cookies done. Well have to make more of those. Not bad. Still have oatmeal, sugar , ice box and kiss cookies to make. I think I am not doing to bad with a week and half left.

MomP - you and DH - and your kids - gorgeous pictures indeed! Those kids must've been a fun Halloween!

Pumba and Nab - dont keep me on clean up! I'm a cook - of course dont count on me to do the 30 min meals in 30 minutes! Here - DH does the kitchen clean up!

Nab - goog job on the cookies - we made choc chip - there are only a few left! I'll try and make them later! We have a chocolate sugar "puff" cookie that taste like a brownie dipped in powdered sugar that tastes good - dd was asking for that one! Not sure if I'm up to sugar cookies... I'm thinking about making pies again - a nice apple pie!

DS asked for something "happy" and small... something to give him joy... really? he really has had a rough year. I think maybe an Angel? I was going to go with The Last Lecture book, but thought that would be too sad.

Did I post the pic of DD at Halloween? Her friends did the theme - her one friend went as the wolf, that friends bf went as the woodsman, another girl wore PJ's and went as Grandma - I didnt like any of the Red Riding hood - so first I easily made the cape - (sale on the pattern) I've never made a costume, never set sleeves - but I just did it, one step at a time - it could've been better (and we know it couldve been worse!)

MP, great pics, love the one of Ellie with the milk weed too. Funny to see the one with her and Isaac, I remember you being pregnant with both of them. And I still remember when you told us (with Isaac) it was another boy and then said "I have to make meatloaf now" You were so disappointed.
Also, I didnt have a full blown stroke, just someting call a transient ischemic attack or something, where a piece of plaque briefly cut off blood supply to the brain. Keyword "transient", but a warning sign for sure which is why they sent me to the ER. I would have been out the next day if it wasnt th weekend if it werent for skeleton staffing for the MRI staff, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!


Sandy, that pic of your DD is great, i love the outfit.

Everyone, I am fine, really, I never felt sick at all, just that spout of vision impairedness. They did EKG on me, heart monitors for 4 days, every blood test under the sun. I'm fine, I dont need any taking care of, but thanks for the thoughts. Im also seeing a specialist in 4-6 weeks.

Unfortunately, being held prisoner this weekend put me way behind at home. The tree is still not decorated, arghh. Really, if it were up to me, we wouldnt even have one. So I may take Friday off and do that, and then I have 3 days next week for cooking and cleaning. Plus I only have DS's shopping done. I hate Christmas, always so stressful for me.

Watching Glee right now, and they singing "A few of my favorite things". Reminds me of my mom, the "brown paper packages wrapped up with strings". My mom always used to send those, and the kids would get soooo excited. This is the first year she is gone.

Nab, your baking always sounds so delicous.

Marita - glad to hear things are back to "normal" for you - but still - can you imagine every one descending upon you - at least we can in internet life!! Good luck with your timeline. Our tree still is in the garage - but, DH has a job, both dh and dd a little stress, I can wait.... DD is taking German in high school now - dh is also remembering his grandparents and some of thier traditions... memories - good thing...

OK, dd finally went off to bed - just thought I'd check in to see if there are updates!! The weather may be quite balmy (in the upper 30's, HUGE rain storm coming - no snow for the next 7 days at least!)
