morning..
Last night we ( 8) of us went out to eat and then to our house for dessert.. We had a great time..
My sister and her husband have been with us since Tuesday and will go home Wednesday now..
It is great having them here....Once a year is all we get to be together....My sisters husband (she passed away 5 years ago) he came too and he loves being with us....we all had a good time..

It is pouring here today...and yesterday too........I am starting to develop the urge to waddle and quack...hahaha..

My dinner with my visiting aunt was pretty uneventful My nephew is coming in from Texas this week, so we have another dinner on Wednesday

I'm feeling a tad sore today -- definitely used some muscles yesterday!!!

Pumba-- I hear you on waddling like a duck. Lots of rain here too, including this morning. Cold too but I haven't put my furnance on yet.

Sandy-- my dd has grown, very pretty. We don't have homecoming here, always here it on tv in movies and such though.

Moo-- hubby is driving me nuts, I wish he would just book something already for our trip.

My sister came home from the hospital yesterday. She was suppose to stay 5-7 days but came on the 4th. She wanted out of there. If that was me I would have stayed in and had all the help I could get. Probably better pain relief too. Hope she doesn't have any set backs because she is trying to do to much too soon.

Today I have to run out and get something for a baby shower the youth group is having tonight for Teen mom's. And send in something for potluck. Plus get Hannah to swimming after school. Busy , busy , busy.....

hello everyone..

ONE TREE IS HISTORY...the one on the pool...I was very thankful I called another tree arborist...the other company said oh yah we will be there Last week and then will be there Saturday Last week and then this morning...I called another company and they came this pm and said I will take it off
now.....they were so careful on the pool and I was impressed.......they will come back in two weeks to do the rest.
But now that this pool is off ...we can call the insurance company tomorrow and get info for what to do next....it is ripped in three places on the cover...and also the bubble heat thingie....have no clue on anything else...but will call the ins first and then call the pool company next.

I was so happy to see that tree gone..

Today was rainy but humid..weird......hope that the weather will turn to be FALL and forget about this quack quack weather..

Tomorrow back to doctors for bp check and hopefully she will LEAVE my meds alone.....hahaha

My sister and her husband will be leaving on Wednesday morning...I have loved having them here visiting.....I love family time

Pumba-- glad you got your tree off the pool. How is the finger now?

The sun is shiniig here today finally. Getting tired of the rain.

It's our Thanksgiving this weekend , I really need to go out and get groceries before the rush on the weekend. Really want to go to my Mom's but hubby is working all weekend and Hannah has Guide camp Friday -Sunday. Not good planning there for people who go out of town. I told Hanah good thing we are staying home this weekend. She loves camp they are going to show them how to make turkey and pie.

Nab,I finally looked up my tickets, I can get 4 of you in a park for a day (hoppers), so let me know if you want to that, it would be fun to have lunch together again wiht Moo. Stupid policy change, tickets expire now in a couple of years, and with both kids grown, they no longer count in my allotment. But hubby and I still have our passes if we want to go, so no problems.

Pumba, hope all is well with thumb and trees.

My sister and her husband just left......I will miss them...It was very busy but great having her here..
Yesterday we went shopping and then lunch and over to my doctors...she left me off and I got home by hubby..
SHE changed my meds again and I will pick them up today...Hopefully these will do the trick..
She said my finger nail will fall off in a month or so..YIKES....then the blood sucker hurt me bad......and I am bruised today....I will have my blood taken from now on at the lab at the hospital ...because she does not know how to take my blood..
We went to the pool place after the doctors appt and they are coming out today to view the damage and help us keep the pool with the algae stuff for spring time....They were very nice...I went out today and took six photos of the holes so they can have that too...

today is a nothing day...just laundry and stripping the bed and all the towels and stuff.

Busy week this week . . . my nephew is visiting this week so we had another family dinner. Two in one week! It was nice to see my brother again for the second time in a week also!!!

Pumba - Glad you got your tree taken care of and had a nice visit with your family

Marita - I talked with my sister and she's up for joining in on a meet on the 8th

Nabbie - Happy Thanksgiving in advance Sorry to hear your hubby is working. Otherwise, it might be easier to pin him down on your travel plans I think we have figured out the flights we want. Now I just need to book them.

Moo-- I wish I could pin him down. I told him he should have booked awhile ago but he is looking for that big sale. And now our dollar is dropping too , so that does not make him happy.

Marita-- I will let you know about the passes if I knew when we were actually getting there to plan out a day....

Hannah wants me to go on a field trip with her next Friday. I am holding her off. It is to the zoo. I am not really a zoo person, or a forest person when it comes to field trips. Our zoo is very big. I think I went two other times so I know what it will be like. Hopefully the teacher can find 5 volunteers or I will be going to the zoo.

Nicholas won his football game but found it hard to go to swimming lessons right after. No time to stop for himself yesterday and when he got home he had to go to bed it was late.

Well the sun is shining today and warm , should get out and work in my flowerbeds for a bit. Get them ready for the winter.

well my blood tests all came back good EXCEPT my A1C...it went up again to 6.9...soooo Back on a diet of good foods.

My daughter in law went to a site....MY fitness pal.com and I started to track my food and exercise too......so darn easy...it does everything for me except tell me I am not really HUNGRY....hahaha..

If Nicholas was a girl I think he has PMS. He was in some mood yesterday. Couldn't talk to him without him yelling back. Then this morning he said he couldn't find his gym shorts where did I put them. Didn't see them but he swear up and down he had them in the wash. Turns out he remembered just before he left they were with his football stuff at school. He also told us yesterday he left his binder with all his subjects in a classroom in the morning after a mass they had. Didn't get it at all the rest of the day. Has an assignment due next Wed. so nothing got done last night. It is going to be a long weekend in more ways then one I think.

Anyway that is my vent for the day....Hope it goes better , guess not I should be out the door with Hannah right now...going to have to walk faster this morning...

I had a terrible BS this morning so I modified my new diet to go to the amount of carbs I could have as a diabetic...
SO hopefully this will put it where it needs to be...OR ELSE she will put me on drugs......I stressed about this and probably that helped the BS go up too..

Hubby is getting ready for the moose hunt...he will leave tomorrow with our son and our granddaughter and her boyfriend......they are going up north.....

today it is already 20 degrees warmer then it was yesterday at this time.....I was a wee bit cold yesterday....heck I was alot of cold yesterday..

Nab...as kids go from one part of their youth to another........they do get this way...A nun told me that it happens as a kid goes to school then to the second grade area......then fifth and then junior high and then high school...when they think they know it all......OH YAH brings back memories..

have fun everyone today....it is gorgeous out.....we are going to have a heat wave with temps in the low to mid 80s
And now off to do some needed cleaning up...

Beautiful weather here too. Been warm for the last few days. Cooler at night.

Pumba-- Hope you your blood sugar down. I have been eating so bad lately I need to get back on track but it is so hard. I remember my dad going moose hunting after Thanksgiving , sometime on Thanksgiving weekend for a week with the neighbour men.

And of coarse this being Thanksgiving weekend not going to happen this weekend. I have a pumpkin pie calling my name and I am going to be making apple pie too for hubby. That is his favourite.

Quiet in the house with out Hannah here this morning. Nicholas just crawled out of bed. Thought he would have slept later.

Took Nicholas to get fitted for contacts yesterday but he couldn't do it. To afraid to get his finger close to the eye. Then he said his eye lashes were in the way. He wanted them for when he plays sports but he says he doesn't want them now. We will have to try again another time I think. I am with him , would never be able to get them in I would close my eye.

Better get back to the pies....then I can relax for the rest of the day.

Hi all

Very rainy weekend here. Poured all day! and no end in sight till Tuesday. So I didnt go to the store and ran out of my regular wine, so I dug into the stash we had left from xmas. Some good stuff, im sure, my nephew is a coinnoseur, but too bad, it had to do, LOL. Hope it clears up a bit tomorrow to go to the store, if not, I will be a very unhappy camper.

Had to wrestle with the turkey this morning but all is good. For some reason they had some plastic piece holding the legs together and I had to remove it to take out the neck and bag of stuff . Then stuff it. Lucky it didn't land across the room I tell you. I am not a cook , I admit it. My mom makes it look so easy.

I do love the smell of turkey roasting in the oven. Hannah is bugging me to set the table already. I told we have plenty of time since we won't be eating until 7:30 when hubby gets home from work.

She is just can't wait to set out the good china and stuff and she made a center piece at Guide camp.

Marita-- did your weather improve? We are having summer weather here in the fall. Guess this is our Indian summer. Said it hasn't been this warm since 1959 when record was set.

We are having gorgeous weather here this weekend! I went for a drive yesterday to do a little color touring since the trees are really starting to change color and also went to a winery. I picked up a case of wine -- mostly Vidal Blanc and some raspberry dessert wine. It's probably a good thing that the winery isn't a little closer, LOL!

Marita - Sorry to hear it's so rainy down there. I've been watching the Cape Canaveral cruise cam this weekend and it looks terrible!!! I think the Dream should be leaving shortly.

Nabbie - Hope your turkey dinner turns out great! Yum, yum

Pumba - My hubby's dad also has diabetes - he just found out that he has to start on insulin. I think it's mostly because he has trouble eating a low carb diet Hang in there!!!

Men left at nine this morning and my daughter in law picked me up at ten thirty to go to Pumpkin Land.......we had a great day.....it was in the 80s too...go figure...one week we have the heat on and now hot weather...
There were rides and pumpkin related things to do...the kids each got a pumpkin too..Hope we didnt get a burn.....hahahaha

Nab Hope you have a great turkey day....I love to cook a turkey...Did you do a bread stuffing or a meat stuffing.....My Memere would do the meat stuffing when I was little but my Nana (English side) did the traditional bread stuffing...I have done both but my family likes the bread...

I have two turkeys in the freezer...I should take one out and think about cooking one....YUMMY...

you know I hate to be alone at night ...but this house seems like it will be fine for me with the doggie tonight.......anyone want a sleep over??? HAHAHA

Hmm, Moo, although the forecast was bad for today, it really wasn't, at least in Orlando. We got very little rain here, but maybe worse at the coast.

Pumba, how have you settled in the new house? Does it feel like home yet?

I would love to have grandkids to go out on trips with, but alas, doesnt look like that's in my future (at least anytime soon).
Talked to DS today, now his Thanksgiving leave is in jeopardy again, GRRR!

All I got done this weekend is 2 loads of laundry
