morning I did great......I am pleased I slept most of the night except when Megara wanted my half of the bed too....YES the house feels like it is home and I love it...

Patrick Dempsey was in town this weekend and some of my friends had their photos taken with him........he is a great person to start this challenge a few years back in honor of his mom.......the money (one million this year) will go to the cancer unit at CMMC and also to cancer research......His mom had breast cancer and beat it...the bike run was small, medium and 100 miles....The walkers did similiar numbers....He did the bike run with some of the Tour France riders......got to give them all alot of credit for sponsoring this great event.

we are going to have another great day today.....Ava's mom has to work at the doctors offices....Banks and federal blds I think are closed........

have a great day everyone..

Pumba - I remember you mentioning Patrick Dempsey doing that event before! Glad you had a good night.

Nabbie - Apparently that Royal Caribbean ship, Freedom of the Seas, that left Port Canaveral yesterday afternoon had some damage due to the bad weather!!! :scared1: The captains of the Disney Dream and Carnival Sensation were smart to stay put until early this morning!

Granddaughter got a moose this morning at 7 am and it weighed in at

818 pounds with a 54 inch spread ....she was so excited and hasnt calmed down yet.........they closed up the camp (my sister and her husbands place in Greenville) and now on the way to the butchers ...then home..........

It is very exciting to get a deer but when you bag a moose it is the ultimate......I got mine about 7 years ago and I didnt calm down for days...hahaha...

a wee bit chilly today here so no shorts and no fans going...the air is about 60ish but I put on pants and socks ...yah a shirt too.......very nice though

Pumba-- Congrats to your Granddaugher. That is a lot of meat.

We are still in the nice weather stage but they said the rain is coming up from the south, so we will have it for the rest of the week. I had to turn the air back on this weekend it was so warm in the house.

Moo-- That is scary about the ships that went out. I think we only had one cruise were it was wicked windy and wavy. The closet doors banged back and forth all night and you walked like you were really drunk. That won't happen on the Dream. They have different doors now. It was really funny to see people walking around like that.

I am back in homework heck with Nicholas. I do not know why he just doesn't do it with out arguing with me all the time. He says he is tired and is doing too much. Meaning football and practices. I think he is waiting for us to say quit but that won't happen. He needs to finish it out. It will only be another month anyway. Then he fights me when it is bedtime. And he had been not eating his lunch either , says he isn't hungry then but comes home with a headache. :sad2: I can't win these days...

Rainy day today.

Dentist today for me. Feels like I was just there. Not my favourtie thing to do that is for sure. Hopefully it is just for a cleaning and they don't find anything to fix.

Nicholas gets a Progress report today , not looking forward to that after we saw some of his test so far. We are looking into a tutour for him to see if he will listen to someone else. He sure isn't taking our advice and I am tired of the arguing with him.

Swimmimg and youth group for Hannah tonight. I hate driving at night when it is raining. Especially since the swimming is in the next town.

Pumba - Congrats to your granddaughter!

Nabbie - Sorry to hear about your troubles with Nicholas's school stuff :grouphug:

I read some more on-line about the rough time that cruise ship had. Guess that's a really good reason not to cruise during hurricane season!!!

Did you see that WDW just changed their policy about restaurant reservations? Guess they got tired of no shows and people who book multiple restaurants at the same time. I think the only ressies we ever missed were for breakfast

Moo, the double reservation thing just got ridiculous. Plus people made ressies just to get somewhere in the parks. For example, The Wave had a 40% no show rate, people just makign reservations just to be able to park at the Contemporary and park there, then walk over. Not a bad thing at all in my opinion.

Nothing much happening here, still bored out of my mind :sad2:

Pumba, I didnt get the moose pic (we had a brief chat on FB, her DD was tagged as Pumba there, LOL)

Nab, hope you can get some help for Nicholas. That's a tough age.

being a moderator on the restaurant boards.......I really get upset with the double bookers.....It takes away the chance for another person who really wants to go to that restaurant....I will be glad to see the double bookings or no shows ..GO AWAY...hahaha..
I dont know why It didnt come thru Marita.....it was gorgeous for sure.....just a big hunk of moose hanging up ...with his ...well it was nice to see HONEST..

This morning got up and I smelled gas ...went to the kitchen and checked the stove and sure enough.....hubby must of leaned up against the knobs and one was just to say it was turned.....I opened the deck sliding door and the other window and called hubby and he told me to "open the deck door and the other window" ...yah I am smart......hahaha......I also put the fan on and sucked out the stink.....it is okey now..

IT IS RAINING....My daddy always said the rain came from Canada..even if it was southern rain.....makes me laugh now when I think of that......

I am going to plan our 45 anniversary party for next May..THIS WAY...I can do the planning and not expect anyone to have to do this ...also I can dictate the "no gift" policy.....I said this on our 25th anniversary but someone else got it ...(MIL)...our son was finishing his college year and our daughter was in college with two young kids......NO I didnt want them to do this ...parties can be expensive.......so MOI will plan the 45th..

hope you all have a great day...

hey NAB....are there any students that are older then Nich and he can relate to and maybe help him with his studies.....sometimes that "peer pressure and help" works.....that is from my daughter who is a teacher...she recommended this for one of my neighbors...

I am so glad the weather man was wrong about today. The sun is shining so far and I hope it stays that way for Hannah's trip to the zoo.

We had a consultation with a tutor last night. They brought a practice math test for him to do. Boy is he rusty. The lady said some of the questions are grade 7 stuff that he got stuck on. Some he got but took a long time. So after seeing that we decided it was a good idea for him to have a tutor for 1 hour a week. She will bring work sheets for him to do and help with Science too since he seems to be struggling there too. The cost is crazy but we can pay in installments. We bought 6 months worth of time. They sell them in blocks , the more blocks of time the cheaper it is by the hour. I really hope it helps him since he doesn't listen to us.

Pumba-- You can blame us for the rain I don't mind, even for the snow you will be getting in a few months. But yes they actually said the rain we have been getting is from Florida so blame Marita. :lmao:

Nabbie - The tutoring sounds like a good plan :) Sorry to hear that it's so expensive, but hope it helps!

It has definitely cooled off here again. Yuck.

Well I must say it was much nicer weather 17 years ago. The sun was shining and it was warm on that day. I remember this because it was my wedding day. Boy the time flies.

We are celebrating with my inlaws today. There anniversary was yesterday. It was their 50th. But with my mother in law being sick she only was able to get up and eat a cupcake with her husband. He bought two cupcakes home and put a 5 on one and 0 on the other. She sleeps alot lately. Her MS is really knocking her down now. So we are going to bring food and spend the day with my father in law. I sure hope my hubby is as compassionate as his father with me if I were sick. She has had this for over 30 years the boys were only 4 and 6 . Pain everyday but she said she had to make it until the boys grow up. Then to see them married. Only one did, she never thought she would see her grandchildren still hanging in there. Any way I am getting to sappy now Hubby's parents are great in laws.

Moo-- hubby asked me what I wanted for our anniversary....I said a vacation:laughing: It's coming. Hopefully the the information on my filight will be my present so we can finally tell you are plans. That would be good.

Happy Anniversary to the Nabs!:dance3::cheer2:

Wow about your in-laws.

My anniversary is in 2 days 41 years

Happy Anniversary to EVERYBODY.......seriously...any amount of time spent with another is a major accomplishment....
My heart still skips a few when he walks into a room ...(well sometimes)...he still can make my heart go pitter patter.....Yah sappy here too..

I have a HUGE stink bug in the sliding glass door part and the screen part is still there....so cant open the screen door to let him or her out.......MAKES ME scared to think of it......I hate bugs and spiders and those snakes......we have had all three in this area......as hubby said....we arent on Oak street anymore....geesh...hahaha..

Hope you all have a great day and happiness to you all

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. :goodvibes

Marita-- Wow 41 years. You were a young bride though. I was married when I was 27 the first time and 31 this time.

Sun was out earlier but went away again. I guess we are finally into fall weather. Trees look so nice though all red and orange. I love my front maple tree.

We were going to go out today for our anniversary. Dinner and a show but we were reminded at church the alter severs have a skate party today at 5:00. It is for the whole family but I do not skate. Hubby does though so he will have fun with the kids. I will socialize with the other mothers that don't.

Hubby and I get so much time with each when the kids are at school and he is off I don't mind. Family time is important too.

Well I won't be going anywhere if I don't get Nicholas uniform done for tomorrow either. :laundy:

Nabbie - Belated Happy Anniversary!!! I haven't booked my flight yet either. I just keep procrastinating. It was super windy here yesterday, so we lost a lot of the pretty leaves from the trees :(

Marita - Happy Anniversary to you too! Any further word on your son being able to be home for Thanksgiving?

I was reading on the Disney Cruise Line forum that Buddy the Cake Boss was on the Dream and made a cake that was a replica of the Dream with the Aquaduck! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2818063

And People also has an article about his wedding vow renewal: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20537513,00.html

It would have been fun to have been on that cruise!

Why is it that if it reached 13 C (54 F) that we think it was summer weather in the spring but give it to us in fall and we are freezing. That is our high today. It is only 5 C right now. Brrrr. But the sun is shining.

Marita--Happy Anniversary! :dance3::banana::cheer2:

Moo-- I will have to keep an eye out for that epsiode to air. Did he renew his vows on the boat. I thought that show was tonight. Because she was just on say Yes to the Dress and they said we had to wait until Monday when it aired to see which one she picked. At least that is what I thought it said. Hannah like watching that show.

Went to see Footloose with hubby last night. They put some modern day stuff in there and remakes of some of the music too. Wasn't bad but I still like the first one better.

Hey everybody! I'm just on here to look up some info for a wish kid I know - she was in my 2 year old class at church last year and was diagnosed with leukemia last halloween - she's still going through chemo, but she was the 1000th middle tn make a wish kid and they announced her trip at disney on ice last week!
yay! anyway, her mom is pregnant and is having some back pain, so I wanted to get her the info about the electric scooter companies that rent in orlando.

NABBERS! I miss you so much! Everyone else posts on facebook - but I never see you! Post!

Cel, yay for the girl making the wish trip!

You know, talking on FB is not the same as talking here, right?? right??

Nab, not much of an anniversary celebration, LOL. Hubby was in bed when I got home, same as always, but it's ok with me.

I think I might be sick tomorrow, cough!! 80% chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms tomorrow. cough, cough!!!

Moo, no word yet on if my son will get leave, grrrrr!! It gets more expensive by the day...

Celery! Nice to see you here. I know I don't go on facebook much. I go check up on my family on Hubby's page. You should come around more often. Not hard to keep up over here.

Marita-- sounds like my anniversary Marita. Just another day. You should take of the cough there and stay home.

I have to go shopping today , have a birthday and baby shower on the weekend. The baby shower shopping I don't mind, all those cute baby things but the birthday is for a teenager. Maybe a gift card for that one.

Nabbie - Yes, he did renew his vows on the boat -- should be fun to watch that episode!

I'll have to go see if anyone posted photos :)
