I am going to say this.

HOW ABOUT THE WORD CHILLY..

It was in the 40's this morning and I had to find
my long jeans and a sweatshirt.......talk about FALL..
and FALL FELL FAST...
LOVE IT !!!

I got up early cause I was freezing (AC was in the window)..
and put out the trash...had coffee and breakfast by ten past
seven...Megara went out and she came back in too...she was
cold I think..

Hope you all have a great day

Lil'g-- Where does your cruise go and what ship are you on?

Pumba-- Yes it is chilly in the morning. I am still wearing my capris but should have my jeans on to walk Hannah to school. I do have a sweater on though. I won't complain about this weather either. I love fall. The leaves are changing too.

Heading to my mom's for the weekend. Need to go dye her hair for her, she has a wedding to go too next weekend and I haven't seen her since she broke her wrist. I wish I lived closer....

Hubby worked last night too so I will be doing the driving tonight and I hate crossing Toronto on a Friday night...takes much longer the normal 2 hours. Stop and go all the way.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Safe travels, Nabbie! Please update us on how your mom is doing when you get back. I talked with my sister tonight about cruising with me after having no luck when I checked with my friends.

It has been very chilly here the past couple days too. We dipped down into the 30s. Brrr!!!!! It is way too early for that.

My hubby and I went out to dinner for our anniversary tonight (instead of last night on our actual anniversary) and had a nice evening out.

Lil G - We haven't been graced by a visit from WT in a while ;) Several of us see Utahmama over on Facebook on a regular basis :goodvibes

I'd also be interested in hearing about when you're cruising! Guess I can go poke around the cruise board and figure it out :rolleyes1

Did someone say chilly? Where? Not here! Although it has gone down to 90--92

Went to an Ale House for boss' 4oth today, had a great steak sandwich, not helping my figure any though...

Moo, forgot to say I'd love to meet up with you and the Nabbies when you are in town, wish I could cruise.

Lil'G, stay out of trouble, hear?

morning all
Panic hit this morning..
Hubby said that the furnace kicked in and the temp outside was in the low 40's...I said OMG that is freezing...
Opened the blinds up wide so the sun could come in and warm up the house...then we had to figure out if we should call and get a tank of oil now (and pay loads more) or wait until Monday...we have 1/8th of a tank and everyone says that should do fine...We are new to this oil tank stuff....we have had Natural Gas that is automatic ...right out to the street...but it doesnt come up this far on this road......big big sigh..

So hubby will call and get us some oil for Monday...

Hope you have a good visit with your mama and that her arm is feeling better...

Pumba, yikes about the temps. You could always get space heater, maybe? Or make a bonfire in the living room, LOL.

Not much going on here, I need to get my nails done today and you all know how much I love that!

Marita - Wish you could go cruising too :goodvibes I'd love to meet up if we can swing it! I'm hoping my sister will want to go.

Pumba - I feel your pain on the cold weather!!! We have electric heat and have turned the registers on in the living room/dining room area. I'm trying to hold off using the registers in my bedroom, but broke down and used a space heater to take the chill off before going to bed last night. We have a couple of those ceramic heaters and they work really well and are supposed to be more efficient than our baseboard registers.

A coworker friend of mine and her family always try to wait until Thanksgiving to use their furnace, but they have a log cabin home with a huge fireplace in the living room and they do use that.

right now hubby is getting the fireplace ready for

STYROFOAM insert......I am terrified of a fire and he is not fond of it either so we are making it so it will be pretty to look at but we wont use it..he then has to go to the top of the roof and put a stone thingie on the top...
Maybe we will get one of those gas fireplace inserts or sits next to the fireplace for next year...

He went to the old house and brought over six lilac bushes of ours....two parts of the rhubarb plants and then my scallions...also our big plant (cant remember what it is) but it is from my daughter for Mothers day a few years back..so I love that.....

Hope you all have a great day and ESPECIALLY YOU MARITA.......who loves to have her fingernails done....beats me what they do but it must be fun..hahaha

Pumba - We don't use our fireplace either after figuring out that the smoke gets pulled into the bedroom and aggravates my asthma. You might consider burning some candles in there in the meantime! Very pretty. I would also love to have a gas insert. Maybe after our house is paid off . . .

Marita - Did you get your nails done today?! ;) I did a bit of shopping. Tried to find some decent jeans, but no luck -- everything is boot cut or flared instead of straight leg. However, I did find a burgundy sweater and camisole that I liked. I'm with you on needing to drop a few pounds so my pants aren't so tight :scared1: I'm planning to start back up on Tuesday at my kettlebell class. I haven't really worked out all summer, so it's not going to be pretty. Ugh.

Moo, I did indeed get my nails done today. So proud!;)
They had the Karate Kid playing on TV for most of the time, so that provided some diversion at least today. Then the male owner of the store came back and changed it to a sports channel or something, grrrrr!!

That's about all I got done today. Not so proud about that, LOL.

after aggravating my back ...I unpacked three boxes and tried to do some organizing.....I didnt organize when I unpacked at first....so will try to make some sense of where everything is...hubby said I was spreading the stuff out to much.....OH OKEY...THEN YOU DO IT........that is not fair cause he has done alot of the physical work and I am an onlooker.
I DO NEED MY WASHER AND DRYER TODAY PLEASE...hahaha.

my nails look like crap cause they are usually in stuff and out of stuff and watered down and dirty ...had to replant a few of the trees and bushes in our back yard...

Hope that the tree service calls tomorrow and COMES.....My daughter said If I call for oil tomorrow it wont come until Tuesday....go figure....

Just took a shower and have been looking in boxes for some stuff......I need someone to hoist up three or four of the boxes so I can unpack them...just cant move the ones with books that go in the book case and the stuff for the living room..

hope you all have a great Sunday and I am so glad that we have a great group here to talk to and complain to and enjoy our lives together.....have a good one

OH ALMOST FORGOT...I did read THE HOPE and omg it was a powerful book and then reading the JAYCEE DUGGARD story.......this just scares me to death...an 11 year old missing for all those years under the control of some scarey monster like him and his wife....so unreal..

Back from my Mom's , she is doing well. Has to get a bone density test done now and drink more milk. Not her thing.

Pumba-- Why don't you get a gas insert but in the fireplace and get those tanks outside the house. I see that a lot. Hope your back is feeling better. I have read the Jaycee book too, can't image how she got through. She was the same age as Hannah now and can't see Hannah knowing to do all that she did to survive.

Marita-- Hope we can meet up too. Still don't know what we are doing before our cruise. Which air prices would drop.

Moo-- any luck yet? Hate for you to have to cancel.

Fall weather is sure here....cold in the mornings.

we already have an outdoor gas tank for the kitchen stove...I love to cook with gas...we may think about that gas fireplace next spring....have to sell that other place first and get this one sided and new windows..

Yesterday I was upstairs looking at hubby with his shovel...he planted my bushes from the old house and I said what the heck is he doing.....later he tells me that he killed two snakes and one that got away under the deck...I shuddered all over.....so now we have spiders, and crickets, mice and now snakes.....oh oh oh...he said we live outside the city now girl......geesh......:confused3

ava is snoozing and I did the laundry and put it away too...well it was in the washer and I put it in the dryer and then whammo it is dry and I put it away..
I love that he brought my comfort items here .....phewwwwwww..

I need to unpack some more.......see ya later mooovers

Marita - Yay for getting your nails done! What are you watching tonight? New season . . . YES! Don is traveling on business this week, so I'm watching Dancing with the Stars on the big TV. w00t!

Nabbie - Glad your mom is doing OK. I think my sister is going to cruise with me. I will pay for the cruise (since it's only about $400 more than if I went by myself) and she will cover her airfare and incidentals. Plus she has to get a passport. She doesn't have any kids and has always been very generous with gifts and trip expenses for Mari and her other nieces and nephews, so I figure it'll be a bit of payback and she is great fun to vacation with. I still need to get everything squared away with my friend first though!

Pumba - Sounds like good progress! :thumbsup2

Ysterday afternoon the cable box died! Hubby got it back running for a couple of hours, then it died again! In my desperate attempt to at listen to tv, I unplugged the earphones and apparently in the process (unbeknownst to be) also unplugged the rest of the tv cable boxes. SO no tv last night, the night of the Emmy's!!! About 11am today 2 cable guys finally showed up and first noticed the unplugged cable. Then they tried to convince me that was the root of the problem, although I said the tv rebooted (unsuccessfully) by itself yesterday. One guy gave me this long speel about how all cable boxes react differently. In the end, the concluded my box was bad and gave me a new one, HA!
On the negative side, now my headphones don't work, even though I made sure to have a tech replug them in. Hubby was no help either. So I may buy some new ones this weekend, these are old and a bit feeble anyway.... (hope my family doesnt feel about me when the time comes, LOL)

Nab, I can sympathise with your mom, I'm not a milk fan either. Can she do chocolate milk? I used to drink that all the time as a kid, much better than plain milk.

Moo, hope it works out with your sister, it would be fun to meet up with you and the Nabbie family again!

Pumba, yay for continuing with your unpacking, hopefully not much longer, then you can settle in for a long winter's nap...

:badpc: Marita you lost your cable box and I lost my internet for some reason. It only came back right now. I have been trying different things and computers all day. I think my modem is dying or something.

Moo :woohoo: glad you are still going. Love to meet your sister. Hope we can meet up with Marita too!

Pumba- How is your back today, better I hope. I would not want to pack up this house and move. Too much crap...My house is so cluttered, I clean it up and new crap appears.

Good TV night last night. I am trying to catch all the new shows and give them a try plus catch the returning shows. My PVR is getting a work out. Tongiht it will be Biggest Loser, Glee , Teen Mom finale, and a new one called The New Girl. Good thing Guides starts next week on Tuesday. My Wed. line up is worse....and we have swimming lessons and a new youth group for Hannah on that day.

Last night it was DWTS, Hell's Kitchen finale,Two and Half Men ( wanted to see how they killed off Charlie) new shows...Whitney, 2 Broke Girls and the Playboy club. Can't say I won't have nothing to watch on the weekend now....

went to the doctors for a recheck on BP cause it was high a few weeks ago and I was looking at the clinics they were having for the flu shots...so the guy taking in names at the counter said ..hey want it now....I said sure ...get it over with and wont have to go and seek out a place....so done deal..
Then we went to this place for bread ..Frihoffers or something that sounds like that but is spelt different....we went to get some bagels that our store is always out of......and I was getting to the truck and I saw a dragon fly...but I call it a darnin needle...(due to young age) and I swatted the bug coming at me and hit my glasses.......I bent the nose piece so will have to go tonight and get it hooked on....and straighten the rest of me out.

Guess I will go and make my supper now...see ya later gators

by the way...back is wayyyyyyyy better....thanks for askin

Gee, Pumba - Can't imagine why your BP was so high! With all the stress of moving, I would think anyone's BP would go up. Hope it's under control or will be soon :grouphug:

Nabbie - What did you think of Biggest Loser tonight? I think they sent the right person home. I was pretty impressed with Dolvett, but Anna didn't bother me as much as I was expecting her to (other than too much eye make-up). Her accent is pretty similar to my hairstylist's. I thought Ramone had a great attitude and was impressed how well the woman whose father passed away did with all that stress. They sure have a lot of women on there with lower weights than other seasons this time. I'm rooting for the heaviest young woman. Haven't learned all their names yet!

Marita - DWTS was fun to watch! I think they voted off the correct person there too. I was pretty impressed with several of the people so far.

Moo-- I like how they divided them into age groups. The older ones would have been picked off. The one that left made me laugh everytime she asked for a break. Had she not watched the show before. I told Hannah I would have went for Ramone, he looked like her could get the job done. Makes Bob look old. :lmao:

Well heres hoping it is another beautiful day weather wise today like yesterday. It could stay just like this now. Sunny warm with a little breeze to come in the house. I know I am dreaming......

was sitting in the kitchen and watching out the sliding glass doors.......and saw a pilated woodpecker.....I love those ...it was not a huge one but probably about 14 or so inches tall...and a HUGE squirrel...somewhere that squirrel has been eating good.....I love looking out and seeing the wild life...but dont want any wild life in the house...I am not an indoor critter person...

My arm was a little sore last night when I rolled over...but this is the first time a flu shot hurt.....it is all gone today...

I guess I will get my act together and unpack some more JUNK...hahaha..

have a good day everyone
