St. Maarten...
This is where we got Hannah's hair braided. Everywhere was $2 a braid but we didn't like the first lady so we said no thank you and moved on. This lady asked if we had a budget and she would do it for $15. She did 23 braids and took awhile so I gave her $25. still a big bargin. And everyone that we passed said they did a great job on those braids. Some ladies made bigger braids or added alot of beads. Last time I paid $40.
Hannah said it hurts to be pretty....
Nicholas by the beach. The great thing about this beach is it is right there after you get off the water taxi. Water taxi cost $6 per person and you could use it all day. Which was good because we were in St. Maarten from 7:30 to 6:30. So you could go back for lunch if you wanted. We all waited but Nicholas. He thought it was cool that they had a McDonald's there so he had his lunch there while hubby used the free wifi. Plus it was nice to get out of the hot sun.
Crazy hot there. Streets are narrow between the shops but cars still drive down them , people walking down the middle with the cars. With every Caribean Island there are a lot of jewerly stores, table cloth stores and T-shirt places. But mostly jewelry ....how much can they possible sell one wonders because they were never that busy when we passed. We only went in for the free necklaces and charms.
The ship gives you coupons for these things in hopes that you will buy more.
