Pumba - Turkey sounds delish! Good for you, getting back on track!!! It sure can be hard to ditch the carbs.

Thanks, Mony and Marita! Feeling a little better today - I managed seven hours at work today

Congrats on your great weight loss so far, Mony! :woohoo:

I'll be happier once I'm past my co-worker's funeral service tomorrow. It'll be my first time attending a Mormon funeral. I'm hoping it's not significantly different than the sorts of services I've attended previously. He was such an all-around good guy and family man, I'm hoping they don't gloss over that because some closure would be very helpful for me and my work colleagues.

I decided I didn't feel like cooking tonight and picked up Chinese for dinner. Hubby bought some new (to me) Reese's peanut butter Valentine's HEARTS. Yummy!

What a day to sneak back on this thread! Yummmmmmmy indeed.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm working all kinds of crazy hours. In fact, I will be leaving again in just a bit. *sigh* Good on the paycheck, but this VERY interrupted sleep pattern in not good on the body.

Have an awesome weekend. :)

Yep, bbn - Reese's PB eggs and hearts in the stores at the same time!!!

Glad you're getting lots of work in. Stay healthy!

morning..

I COULD of slept in but dear husband and that dang dog are talking to each other in bed...at a little over six AM........I dont get this...the dog sleeps in monday thru Friday and then comes my morning to sleep and he and the dog are up ...go figure..

He did make coffee....

Feeling kind of exhausted this evening after attending my coworker's service today, but I'm very glad I went. It gave me a peek into his life outside of work. I had always known he was humble, a hard worker, and a good family man, but I hadn't realized how active he had been in his church. What a huge void he leaves . . .

His family and church brethren were very appreciative that so many of us from work turned out.

Sorry, I'm somewhat melancholy tonight. It just really makes you think about your place in the world and what comes after :goodvibes

My sister works insanely horrible hours at the hospital sometimes too, try to get a nap in later if you can.

Matt gets confirmed today at 2:30, can't wait to see how handsome he looks in his suit, Tim and Matt went shopping for it, I trust them.

Off to teach the little ones about the parish community. I have lots of props!

Have a wonderful, blessed day!

yesterday was our great nephews 2nd birthday...and while the women were going to the store to pick up the ice cream cake....My nieces water broke and three hours later, I have a new great nephew born on his big (2 year olds) brothers birthday...

Our son and our niece (our Goddaughter) were born on the same day one year apart....so this sorta runs in the family.......

Hubby got dressed up and went out and removed all the snow that he pushed off the roof yesterday.....he spent almost three hours up there yesterday pushing it off ......trying to get this done before Wednedays supposedly "substantial" snowfall comes....so we are ready for whatever hits us...I HATE SNOW.......but you as cyber friends ...know this already:rotfl:

Pumba - Sharing birthdays will be fun for your great-nephews! I had a lot of family birthday parties with my cousin who is two weeks older than me when I was young.

I'm feeling better today. Off to get my hair cut and meet one of my sisters.

Hi all!

Mony, congrats on Matt's confirmation and the contiuation of being a loser :thumbsup2

Pumba, congrats on having another great nephew (not that YOU and anything to do with it, LOL)

Moo, glad you're feeling better!

BBN, to quote a coworker of mine: "Yay-Boo" on all the working hours. I still have Peanut Butter Eggs left over from last year :upsidedow

Well, I scoped out flights to Montana last night. Best flight all around (all in one, if you can believe it) in terms of leaving, arrival time, cost and lenght of flight (7:53 hours), is $677/person  I can fly to Europe for that much and only a couple of more hours :sad2:

Anyway, nothing booked yet. I'm wondering if I should book now or wait for prices to drop, but with the mid-east crises, they may rise. Damn, I hate this stuff!

Anyway, looks like we will spend 4 full days in lovely (?) Great Falls, MT in mid-June. DD is talking about moving there too, so who knows, might be a full family reunion...

Still didn't get my nails done, but I got a haircut, chopped off 2 inches. I figured I was getting too old for longish (not very) hair. Anyway, its about chin lenght now, not sure if I like it or not, and DD isnt home yet to give an opinion.

Oh, Dh finally packed away the xmas tree today! I helped, of course. But he didnt put away the ornament boxes, but I stacked them in the hallway, so at least the living room is back to normal. Before February, YAY!!!!!!!

Up next, another forecast week :scared1:

PS: Pumba, I was very surprised to see you pop up on Nebo's TR, LOL.

Yikes, just checked to see what the price to Montana is closer in. If I were to book for February instead of June, it would be $200 per ticket more. So I guess I'll book this week... and shell out for trip insurance

Marita.......I thought I should go and say something on the trip report.....I always loved reading them....It was like a virtual vacation for me without being there..

Marita....are there any airlines that go there that go back in price if the price drops....just asking...../?

It is 9 out right now and I had to put the trash out.....my darling Ava will be here soon and I had my bowl of (YUCKY) cereal...I got the Special K with Cinnamon and walnuts......TO MUCH CINNAMON...not that I would throw it away ...So I ate my dreaded bowl...
I prefer banana nut crunch......but its not good in carbs as the Special K is....
Oh well I could of had an egg and little bitty sausage for zero carbs and an English Muffin for 27 carbs......

See you later gators

Hey all! My trip is booked, so I will definitely be around these parts more.
I can't wait for Nab to get back and give a mini trip report on Harry Potter!
Now I'm going to see if I can figure out what's going on with nebo.

Sorry, but I am kinda excited about this supposedly huge snowstorm we are forcasted for. We usually get a whole lotta hype and just a few flakes, so I am excited for this one. This is a winter that has given us a bunch of snow, I took some before pics. We will see......

We went out to dinner last night for Matt's celebration and we splurged. I hope I didn't do too much damage.

I lost, no joke the book I keep my daycare records in. I have torn apart my house and I can't find it. I remember tucking it away before the family came over for Christmas, I didn't want anyone snooping, my desk is out in the open in the basement. I said to myself, you shouldn't put it here, out of sight, out of mind, no I'll remember this is too important to forget. DoH!

Lunch time for the chitlins!

I'm still missing tons of stuff from when I cleaned for the family visit at Christmas. :headache:
I had almost 30 people in my 3 bedroom mobile home - I had to do a lot of consolidating to get stuff out of the way - it's all in one closet and I haven't felt like going through it. There's no telling what all I shoved in there! :confused3

I can totally relate to the misplacing syndrome :rolleyes1

Cel, good to see you around these parts again, I miss you! Who did you get to go with you?

Pumba, I think prices go up the closer you get I think (last minute panic pricing?). Plus with the mid-east crises now, oil is going up, so if anything I think prices will go up. I just HATE to pay $1,400 5 months out, it's so far away....

I made a 35 min round trip to Panera today to get some soup for lunch (Broccoli Cheddar with a chunk of French bread, YUM!). I got a cup for today and a bowl for tomorrow's lunch. The reason I only got a cup for today was that I was starving about 10am, so I thought I'd dip a couple of Thin Mints from last year in some coffee to hold me over. Well, I ended up eating the entire sleeve...... :sad2: So I didnt eat lunch till 1:30.
Oh, something I didnt realize there until after the fact. Panera has this new loyalty card, where you may or may not get an occasional pastry or something for free. Well, apparently, if you use that card, you dont get a discount (10% for Disney CM's at this store). Well, I would have much rather have had my 80 cents off!

For the next 2 days, Khaki and I are going to hang out at Pop for the forecast. THey have a couple of extra computers, just makes it nicer to have company. There will be 5 of us in the same space, plus the new boss is coming to learn as well.

marita - my friends Susan and Heather are going with me. We're doing 5 nights at bonnet creek and possibly starting with 3 nights at the homewood suites by universal.

which hotel are you stationed at now?

I'm currently at Port Orleans. Looking forward to taking the boat down to DTD with Khaki (my new office partner) and maybe a few others for lunch at Earl of Sandwich sometime next week when the weather is nice and the work not too crazy. Must experience the property like a guest, don't ya know.... So far we've had no luck with that, it was either freezing cold or work was a madhouse!:sad2:

I love to take the boat to DTD if we are being lazy and have plenty of time to just sit and watch the wildlife on the river.......but THEN we get to go to Earl oF Sandwich and get our favorite THE FULL MONTAGU....and hubby likes the ORIGINAL......these are so good ....YUMMY....

Our very first resort 18 years ago was at Port Orleans (FQ now)....we were in awe of the theming and how beautiful it all was....we loved it.....brought our daughter and two little ones the next year....Our youngest gs was 2 and he was in a crib still and KT stayed in the bed with her mama.....we loved going with our kids and grandkids...it makes the Disney experience jump out at you.
I think we have 27 or so trips to the HOUSE OF THE MOUSE under our belt now...we love it.

well ladies we are in for 20 or so inches of the dreaded white stuff...Lynette will be getting hit too I believe.....so anyone in the path of this storm whether it is rain or sleet or ice or snow......be careful everyone

It's skipping us this time, thank goodness! We've had quite a bit of snow this winter.

We're in the snow path this time. Unlike Mony, I'm NOT looking forward to this! If it's really bad tomorrow, I am telecommuting. I definitely will need to go to the store on my way home tonight.
