Even though I'm feeling better, I was still coughing quite a bit this morning, so I decided to stay home and try to do a bit of work from here. I have a couple conference calls I can participate in and I can do my e-mail. Glad I was finally able to sleep well last night!

So exciting to see that "The King's Speech" got so many Academy Award nominations. Great movie.

I have to tell a funny story on my hubby. When I got up this morning, there was a message on our answering machine from our across the road neighbor. She said my hubby had driven off with the trash container attached to the trailer hitch on his truck. So I called him at work to let him know and he said "no I didn't, it's in the garage". So I went and looked and told him it wasn't there. So he left work and drove back toward home and he called to let me know that he found it a couple miles from our house (a wheel fell off, but he was able to retrieve it) He just threw it in the back of his truck and went back to work. Guess his cold has been keeping him from sleeping well too, LOL!

Nabbie, I'm so excited for you and your family!!! I know you're going to have a fabulous time. How's your hubby feeling today?

Marita - Hope you get your $$ issue worked out quickly Hope Nebo is as successful as you have been!!! Keep up the good work

Pumba - I got up at my regular time and didn't feel like going back to sleep after I called into my office. So I watched Regis and Kelly and am now watching the Gayle King Show on the Oprah Winfrey Network. She was talking with Oprah about her big announcement about her half sister on her show yesterday (which I caught since I came home early). Very touching . . .

Got my nails and toes done tonight...aww the luxury. I know Marita you find it a pain but this might have been my 4th time letting someone do it.

I have the last of our wash in....everything is pretty well packed except for a few things in the wash. I will do our dress clothes tomorrow, don't want them to get to wrinkled.

It was so warm here today it felt like spring even though it was still below 0. Yesterday was really really cold.

It will be hard to get the kids in bed tonight. I could have sent them in for half a day but decided they could stay home just in case we have to leave earlier do to weather. I do have to send Nicholas back to school to get his running shoes though. He would look pretty funny walking around Florida and on the boat in boots.

Moo -- glad to here your getting some sleep. Hope that means your cold is going away.

Marita-- Looked at the forecast for there and it is going to be cold in the mornings. I will have to make sure I have some sweaters with us too. Wasn't planning on taking coats but maybe I will have too.

Nab, YAY for being so close

You never know about the weather down here, 77 today, 60's the next few days, it could freeze again or get really warm Severe weather warining today, with tornado warning. All weather all the time on TV tonight till 9pm, GRRR! And right after all weather all night was the Pres and the unending editorials...

Nab, I hate getting the acrylic fills for my nails, but I was so far behind that I am now "nail naked" I'm debating on going back or just saving the money, but really, it's less that $20 every 5 or so weeks, so it's not that much. And I LOVE pedicures

Ongoing fax saga, NO FAX TODAY. I don't know if it was sent and didnt get it, or what. It was too late by the time I got home. I'm going to see if he can scan it and email it. How can this be so difficult?????????

Marita-- weather warnings .....

I just found out you don't have to wear the life jackets anymore to the muster stations. That is good , I always thought someone was going to fall on the stairs. We have some good pictures of us in them though.

Found out tonight my sister that was suppose to start chemo didn't yesterday, they found out her kidney's are not working properly. Now she may lose one. It just seems like she can't catch a break. She just turned 50 yesterday. She has had a lot of problems with her potassium levels since they took out her thyoid last year.

So it feels trival when I complain of a headache , which I have right now that tell my hubby he gave me since his is gone. I hope it just means I need some sleep. I am really tried tonight and stressed that I will forget something. But like he said we have what we have. We sure are not lacking for clothes.

Nab, I wanted to wish you a great trip before you left, I might have missed you! Sorry.

I am finally registered to take those tests!!!!! I have so much studying to do, I am excited about this, once I pass those tests, it changes EVERYTHING!!!!

Please say a quick prayer for me today if you can. I have a very important meeting this morning re: my son. I just need strength. I can cave easily under pressure, but I just can't today. It's me against them, and I can be very intimidated. I have my education, my knowledge, my son's best interests, and the backing of some teacher friends.

Warm out today....7 degrees just a few minutes ago and hoping that it warms up more so our roof snow will melt off and hubby doesnt have to go up there (3 stories high) to remove it.....we own an apartment house that is just us in it...

We're having another snow day. I think it's #6, but I've lost track. I know we have to make them all up, but when that alarm goes off and you get to go back to sleep, it's a beautiful thing.

So far I've watched Maury, Judge Judy, and Jerry Springer. I'm focusing on high quality television today.

PJ: I'm taking my MTTC Cognitive Impairment and Early Education endorsements on April 16th!!!! It certifies me to teach in the areas I want, I have over 100 credit hours from the university but I need to pass those tests to start subbing.

The meeting went well. Changes have been made. In the mean time, a representative from ARC contacted me http://www.thearc.org/page.aspx?pid=2583
today and she invited herself to attend my follow meeting with me. I am thrilled because she is my next step if the schools continue to not implement his accomodations. That will speak volumes to the school.

Matt already brought home stuff in his folders, given to him early by his teachers to start working on things. Wow!

Thanks for your thoughts today, I felt lifted.

Marita - How's the weather down your way today? Hope Nabbie and family enjoy their break from the winter cold!

I'm going back to see the nurse practitioner in the morning. I'm glad she wanted me to come in for a follow-up visit because I'm still feeling crappy.

I have an unexpected no day care chitlin day and me and maddy are gonna go bumming together.

I will bring something to read while she plays at a Mc Donalds.

I like days like this.

Moo, feel better, that's all I'm hearing about, how others are getting sick. I think our health kick over here is helping us in that area, staying well.


Waiting on the schwans man to deliever our steamers. We love their steamed veggies, oh, he's here!

I'm feeling a tad better today - I managed to work several hours without coughing too badly, but my coworkers definitely knew that I was in my cube today!

I need to go pick up my cough syrup. Wish I had thought to do that before getting settled in at home because it's a little slippery out there.

Weather here is in the upper 60's. so it should be fine for Nab, plus it will be much warmer down in the Caribbean

Crazy day today, non-stop meetings from 8:30 to 5:30, but then we had a reception after, so I had a beer and some appy's and got home at 7

I got the chicken fries, the pulled BBQ pork, eggplant zuchinni pie (9 pts for the serving for tim and I) and my Matt loves their cheese. He won't eat any other cheese and that is like his staple. I wish I had a deep freezer so I could get meat like you and store it. I've always wanted to go in with my mom and sister and split up a large order from a butcher.

Today I am down a total of 16lbs! I can squeeze into another pair of jeans I love that are 2 sizes lower than when I started, so I'm guessing I'm a size and a half down. I can't wait until my first 20, I'll reward myself with a weightloss ticker.

OH MONICA....you are doing awesome with the weight loss........GREAT...

Monica....another thing we always buy when they are on sale are TURKEYS......when they are 47 cents a lb.....where else can one get a meal for a few days that cheap..besides nothing like a turkey cooking in the oven ...stuffed to the gills....I love turkey and decided last night to take out of the freezer and cook it next week some day.....

one of our stand by chest freezer was only a little over 250 dollars....worth it to fill it up when the time is right.....

I am back on track again with my diet......actually it is not a diet but a lifestyle for a diabetic.....I cooked those dang brownies and ate a few with ice cream on top of it melting.......I was bad......but it sure was GOOD...

Now back on track to be good.......
