Cold here too , no surprise there. Makes getting away so much sweeter.

Spent the day looking for a swim suit for Hannah, she has one but I wanted her to have two. It was hard. With her developing on top she now has to go to ladies and then the top is too big. Finally did find one at Walmart, that would be the second Walmart and after the mall.

Moo-- what a nice thing to do for the family. Hope you feel better soon. It is the cough of a cold that stays and lingers a long time. There is alot of flu going around this year. Hope we make it though the next two days without getting it.

Nabbie - Fingers crossed for you and your family to stay well!!! Take some Airborne before you fly. I seriously think that helps. I'm on my third day of antibiotics. Sure hope they kick in soon.

My coworker who gathered up the photos knows I like scrapbooking, so he asked me to see if I could put a collage of some sort together. I'm just glad I was able to easily figure out how to do it on-line! The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't arrange the photos myself . . . you just press a button to reshuffle the photos until you like how it turns out. You can even add a title and choose your background/border color. Easy peasy!

I'll try to take a photo of it to post in the next day or two. I'm too lazy to get it out of the car tonight

Hi all,

I meant to post last night, but the DIs died, dang!!!

Nab, I don't know what it's like to shop for developing girls, LOL, hubby always took her. They are heart and soul, I tell you. When are you actually leaving town? And do you spend any time at Disney or just the cruise?
We had fabulous weather this past week, but it turned cold again yesterday, but nicer the rest of the week. Just can't tell.

Mony, I read of another couple of pounds lost over yonder, congrats!

I was a busy (for me) beaver in the house this weekend. Finally took the ornaments off the tree and packed them. Now it's up to hubby to put the tree and boxes away, we'll see how that goes....

Oh, I forgot to mention: I am a total IDIOT. Tried to shred something a few times in my new food processor and could not put the lid on right to save my life. Finally asked hubby for help. Turns out I tried to put it on the wrong way, with the chute toward me instead of away from me, DUH! That said, I am totally disgusted that you can shredded cheese on sale cheaper than shredding you own, hurrumph!

Moo and Cel, I read a post today (no wait, a report from Chef Mickey's), where a woman complained that they asked her to pay full price when she showed her gastric bypass card (they have those??). She claimed the Poly only charged her child price. CM gave her the address for guest communications and sent her on her way while collecting full price.

I have a green bean casserole in the oven, I've been having a hankering for one lately.
Lots of work and meetings next week, but hopefully nothing too stressful

Yep, Marita - they do have cards for people to be able to order from the children's menu for people who have had weight loss surgery. But I usually figure it would be more hassle than it's worth, so I have never bothered with it. I usually just avoid buffets and go to regular restaurants and order an appetizer or I just get an entree and ask for a box so I can take half with me for later.

The other thing that I have found while eating out is that waitstaff seem to have trouble with people not ordering a beverage, so it's just easiest to order a water, which I generally don't touch. If I'm eating meat, I really can't drink liquids with it, because there's not enough stomach space to do that. I can usually eat cheese or nuts along with a drink, but nothing that's dense. Strange, but true!

Marita-- We are doing two days at Universal this time, then the cruise. Hope the weather stays nice for those two days at least. Then I will be cruising so it's got to be warm right. Anything is warmer then here today.

-26 is a little too cold. The car didn't even want to start this morning, but it finally turned over. Frost was inside too I hate that.

Yay for getting your tree down before Feb!

My sister starts her chemo tomorrow. She does not really know what to expect so if you could keep your prayers. My brother is off all week due to kidney stones. He said he is going to die..it is so painfully, I told him wait until the pass.

Marita - I used my food processor tonight to shred up some rotisserie chicken. It took a couple tries to get the bowl on right, but I manged it! I made a little bit of chicken salad and used the rest for white chicken enchiladas using a friend's recipe. I loved the enchiladas, but my hubby didn't (because they had sour cream in them and I didn't tell him)

My hubby and I talked with our DD tonight and she is all moved in with her BF as of this weekend. Her not having to pay rent on a separate house should help a lot with their finances. We'll have to wait and see whether they decide to formalize things . . .

hello everyone..

IT IS COLD.....will be about 20 to 30 below zero tonight with the winds..so in a few minutes I will go and turn the thermostats on the two other floors.....we put them down because no one is up there.....

last night we had a great time with the kiddos and the dog.....the dog made hubby and I roar with laughter most of the night......the dog is nuts..

Tomorrow doctors appointment in the am and then another in the pm.....I HATE to have to go out when it is wicked cold....but will do..

It is zero here and with wind chills they are expecting -15 to -25 tonight and into tomorrow. If that is true, they will call school. Great!

I cleaned like a crazy person today. The girls room got an over haul, moved furniture, that kind of cleaning. The boys got kinda the same with me barking orders, cause it drives me bananas that they let their room get like that. Scrubbed the tub and sinks and mirrors. Washed some bedding and some clothes. Got some online homework done. Taking care of my social sites, and I will be in bed I hope in less than 10 mins.

Moo: I always enjoyed those displays and seeing how the person lived, I'm sure lots will appreciate your work.

I keep trying to register for the MTTC's (early education and Cognitive Impairment) these tests once I pass will certify me as a teacher, and the darn site for 2 weeks has not been working. I want to test in April. I hope this isnt' a sign.

Moo-- Wouldn't a wedding be a great thing...then grand babies. But kids these days usually skip one or both of these things.

That is interesting on the card and not being able to drink when you eat. I would probably drink more and not eat.

Mony-- want to come to my house and clean. I have stuff everywhere and I hate going away with a messy house.

Every since Harry Potter opened the crowds have been just crazy, doesn't matter when you go it seem. I am sure I will be missing Disney and comparing the whole time. I am not big on rides and they have a lot of coasters. Hannah and I will spend our time in the Dr Seuss area.

Moo, I did not know that about the gastric exemptions, makes sense. They should do the same for smokers, LOL. I certainly eat a lot more since I quit.
We have a meetin tomorrow from 10-noon at AKL, so I looked at the menu for Mara to see what's there in case a group decides to go there. Nothing strikes my fancy at all, but I did notice someting that really gets my goat (goad? ) The offer a double bacon cheeseburger, that's it! No single hamburger, no simple cheeseburger, but double bacon cheeseburger! Same with breakfast, Bounty platter with meats and eggs and potatoes (which is normal breakfast platter), but then they add on french toast and something else. Now, you can still get the other stuff, but it's not posted, so I'm sure a lot of people just order whatever is posted on the menu. It really irritates me!!

Moo and Mony, you snuck in on me.

Mony, yay for cleaning frenzie, I did the same, sort of...

And the tree isn't down yet, not till hubby puts it awaay, but at least I got it prepared.

Nabbie - Yes, a wedding in the family would definitely be nice! But Mari has been saying for quite a while that she doesn't plan to have any kids. So I will probably only ever have a GrandDog . . . but you never know!

Hopefully you will be at Universal during the lull before Presidents Day so crowds won't be too bad!

Marita - A double bacon cheeseburger is a lot of food for me any more. I would just not eat the bun! And I could probably only eat one of the burger patties. I try to only eat whole grain bread these days. I did eat a fair amount of white rice this weekend though There are usually some decent sides you can get and Mara is supposed to have great soups. And there are always the Zebra Domes for dessert!!!

Mony - That made me exhausted just reading all you did today! Hope you can get registered soon for your tests

morning.
Had to put the trash out and OMG it is so stinking cold......the weather man just announced on tv that it was minus 28 with wind chills...no wonder my fingers froze and then POOR megara.....she had to go potty and she didnt mess around.....out and peed and in she came.....she offered me her paw to warm them up.....she is a brat sometimes but we love her..

A few people have the argument on the restaurant board about the buns in Disney.....multi grain I think......and how they fall apart when you add anything moist to it.......like catsup or relish or mustard......WE hate what happened when we did that.......fell apart in our hands......so we opt out of buying our favorite double cheese burgers while we are there........HUBBY even threatened to bring some good ol' fashion buns with us and tell them to hold the bun and we do our own change over at our table...of course I probably added fuel to the fire by saying we are bringing our own.....HAHAHA>

have to get up close and personal with the computer.......the drops make me have a hard time to focus.
I have to go back in six weeks because of the flashes and floater I had...it is still a flash off and on but not as often...so it may be going away..but he wants another dilated recheck......so six more weeks.

it is zero but the winds have it below again.....I put on a big sweater under my coat and wore my gloves ...Grandson took me and picked me up and OMG scares me to death.......he has a standard fast acting noisey car......I shut my eyes a few times......oy oy oy.....but he is a good kid

I will tell them to hold their buns.....and just put it in ours when we get to our seats.....that is IF we do it......never can tell.....hubby threatened to do it last year..I love their burgers on the grill...it is not greasy

It is cold outside that is for sure but suppose to warm up to -9 .

Pumba-- I don't like the whole grain buns either yuck. I know it is better for you but give me white all the way. Only grain bread I love is sunflower bread.

Well I got some of my cleaning done. Stuff was so cluttered around front door, had to clean that up. Waiting for hubby to get up. He worked last night so I am trying to be quiet he said he had a headache too. Hope he isn't coming down with something.

SO second appointment is over with and that is that......

NAB he probably has a headache from no caffeine at the wrong time....and sleeping when he should be awake.....

Nabbie - Hope your hubby feels better soon and isn't coming down with anything.

My antibiotics don't really seem to be helping. I had trouble sleeping again last night and was coughing my head off at work this morning, so I decided to go home this afternoon after my doctor's appointment for my knee injections. My regular doctor's office called in another med to my pharmacy to help my lungs. Hope they get it timely so I can start taking it this evening.

Nothing much to report here, except that after various phone calls last week with my brother about getting paperwork faxed for me to sign for the money from my mother that I'm trying to give to him (really, how difficult can it be to figure how how to fax internationally ), he finally sent it last Friday. Well, this secretary picked it up and apparently it wasn't clearly marked for me, so she took it to a manager at the Front Desk (who of course wasn't working today, and the sec doesn't know the name). Anyway, no luck finding it after some searching, so I had to call AGAIN to have it resent tomorrow, geeeeessssHHhh! Maybe it's a sign I should keep the money

I remember doing the money exchange to everyone...It was a pain in the neck....there was six of us.....even though my sister passed away, I gave hers to her husband who we loved dearly...still a pain in the neck to make sure it all was correct in numbers......no one can say we had any issues with it....

Just got a phone call and Ava isnt coming today......I COULD OF SLEPT IN....and the alarm woke me up today ..I was so tired.....Oh well.......I can do what I need to do ......I will find something I am sure....

IS NAB leaving today or tomorrow .......I can hardly wait for her to go someplace warm...

It is only 3 degrees above zero right now......it feels so warm......hahaha.....weird I know..

Pumba -- I am ready for somewhere warm too! I fly out tomorrow. Today is my last real day to get my last minute things...like pick up Nicholas suit from the dry cleaners.

I spent the night ironing our good clothes and t-shirts. Some of them were pretty wrinkly. I hate ironing ....

Now to get the kid off to school for there last day.....I don't have to tell you how excited they are...
