Pumba - Congrats on the new place. Hernando is nice, we love it up there. Plus it's such a short(and nice) drive to WDW. ;)

Moo - I agree it is time for a moover meet. Can it be before May 26th, 2011 so we are sure to be able to come while our AP's are good? ;o)

MommyP - I've been meaning to tell you that I LOVE your siggy!

Pumba - Congrats on the FL place. :thumbsup2 Wow, that was quick!

Moo & Mony - how far is Auburn Hills from y'all?

BGal - Thanks!

Pumba - Looks like you'll be less than two hours away from WDW! :thumbsup2

Allie - I'm about an hour and 45 minutes drive from Auburn Hills. Mony is a lot closer than I am. Are you going to be in Michigan?

Sounds like you're having a nice birthday!!! :goodvibes

Marita - LOVE that Mickey balloon!

MommyP - I think I'll be going to WDW in October with my cousin who has a place in Florida to go to the Food & Wine Festival (and to finally get to do my Segway tour). I'll have to renew my AP or just get a length of stay ticket since my AP will expire in mid-September before my cousin is back in Florida.

Pumba,I had to look up Inverness on a map, had no clue where it was. Not too far away.
Are you moving down full time or just as snowbirds?

Better then snowing!!:lmao: I want to be a snowbird too, guess I better start saving my pennies.

Nabbie - If you're going to spend a little time at WDW before or after the cruise, maybe we could schedule a meet then. If I have to wait til fall, I might as well wait a little longer!

Actually, she is the absolute sweetest little thing. She doesn't seem to have a loud and annoying bone in her body. She does not seem to have my personality. (although I was different when I was very young, early childhood drama changed my personality and the way I see things) She very rarely shows anger, she is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet. Nothing like ANY of my other children have been like.

Our weather has been c-r-a-z-y. One day the 7 day forecast will show beautiful weather, then the nest day it will be rain, rain and then some more rain. It's was cloudy and rainy on and off on Saturday and yesterday it rained ALL day. I thought the sun was back out today, but now it's cloudy again. My kids are going to drive me nuts, after school they are going outside rain or not.

Dec. would be a good meet, better than Oct. because in Oct. Chad and I would probably be by ourselves for our annual food and wine date. We could probably come up for a day in Dec.(on a weekend) with the whole family.

Helloooo!

I skimmed back a few pages.

MP How do you keep anything on her head? My girls would never keep ANYTHING cute on their heads. She is getting big so fast and I felt your heart tug when you found her standing up in her crib the other morning.

BBN: Glad your miracle child pulled through that. OMG! To see that actually happen, I would have freaked. But you have BBN training, wink.

Cel: How's the thesis? Finished?

Allie: Auburn Hills is about 35 minute drive depending on traffic. Why? You heading this way?

I always talk about how crazy my life is, and it still is, but it took a very serious turn here the last few weeks.

My oldest was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. I was happy and upset at the same time. Happy that we finally have some answers and a true focus. But upset for the reality of it all.

My biggest troubles are with the school right now and fighting for his rights, and all that I have learned over the last year and a half with all of my classes and his legal rights and I am utterly shocked that these professionals don't know things like I know things.

I had to make a complaint on Friday after a meeting I had with the principle and how he didn't take my son's 504 seriously. I even asked him a second time to make sure I was hearing him right and his reponse to why his 504 was not being followed was because middle school teachers basically don't have the time.

I have a big fight ahead of me, plus I am waitng on his IEP meeting that is scheduled at the end of the month, with only a few weeks of school left, I don't know what effect it will have on his schooling, but I need something in place for when he enters high school this fall.

I got offered some extra academic grants and if I want to take advantage of them, I have to take at least 12 credits, that's 4 classes. So, this Fall my life will truly be cra-zay! At least 2 are on-line.

We got that free dining code, but hubby said, we can't afford a WDW trip. But for some really silly reason he is entertaining the idea of a US trip. I am fine as long as I get to take the girls one day to MK. I have a two week break in August. I hate that time of year to go, but I have a tight schedule these days. I applied to the college of education, and I am all registered for these core classes and I love it!!!!

Hope all is well.:flower3:

Monica - She leaves them on. No fight. Maybe because she has always worn a headband or hat of some sorts. Or maybe because she likes the attention and knows she's the sweetest thing ever. ;)

Sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis, but like you said at least you can move on knowing the cause of the problem. I pray you can get things worked out with his school.

Allie - I'm about an hour and 45 minutes drive from Auburn Hills. Mony is a lot closer than I am. Are you going to be in Michigan?

Allie: Auburn Hills is about 35 minute drive depending on traffic. Why? You heading this way?

I WISH! No, not me, DS and his youth group are coming up there for their mission trip. Going to do a VBS for a church up there, and was just wondering if it was in your neck of the woods. ;) Wish I could be a chaperone, but that would involve me driving a van from here to there filled with loud teenagers. :scared1: Plus, I don't think DD would approve of mom being gone for over a week. :sad2:

Mony - Sorry for your son's diagnosis, but it's a good thing you know what you know from your schooling, so you can help him. Here's a  for ya'.

HI all!

Lil G, welcome back, missed you!

Mony, sorry about your son's diagnoses, but like Allie said, at least now you know and can do something.

I have news! Remember knitfreak, one of my assistants at Y&B? She met a guy on a dating site and got married last fall.

Found out today that she is 10 weeks pregnant, not a moment too soon at 39! :cool1: I know she wanted a baby badly, so I am very happy for her. Plus they are about to close on their first house to boot!

Marita - How exciting for knitfreak! Though I cannot imagine having a baby at that age.

I just found on yesterday a friend of mine is pregnant, she just had a baby in October. But before her baby she lost a baby at like 35 weeks pregnant, so I think they wanted another very soon.

Ellie started running a fever last night. I put her to bed like normal, but about an hour later heard her fussing. She was very restless, so I picked her up and she was burning up. Poor thing! So she slept in bed with me for a few hours, then I put her in the travel crib that's in our room. She is sleeping in her bed at the moment. I hope she is okay. No other symptoms. Maybe it's teeth?

Chad has school tonight and Thursday. That totally stinks.

My laptop isn't working. I don't know what is wrong. It will boot up, but when you try to open any programs it freezes. Ugh! Then yesterday the stupid ipod crashed my desk top again. I got it back up and running without losing everything and I got everything up to date on back ups, but I haven't restarted it yet. I am afraid.

MP: Mal had an ear infection a few weeks ago with no temp, coughing, running nose, you know the usuall symptoms. Colds have been weird lately. Hope its nothing big. When mine did get temps at that age, I'd put them in the sink with warm water and let them play until it cooled, helped them to cool down too. Plus it made them happy and gave me a break from holding them.

Lil'g-- nice to see your around and not in jail. :lmao:

Mony-- sorry to hear about your son. I have been watching the TV show Parenthood and the one boy has that. Reviews for the show say they are doing a good job with it. Hope there is help out there for you and support for you family.

Mommy P-- How is Ella this afternoon. I would think teeth at this age too or ear infection.

Marita--I had my kids at 34 and 37 so I can relate to Knitfreak. She is fast forward now. She will be busy making booties and blankets and all those cute little sweater outfits.

Ellie is okay. Still a fever. When she got up this afternoon from her morning nap, the tylenol had worn off and it was about 101.5. I It went down to around 100.5 and then I gave her some tylenol. She napped for a short time this afternoon, got up and is now back down. She sat on the floor for a little while. But didn't really play, she just sat there all sad. She won't eat, but is nursing fine. Her fever was 99.9 about 2 hours after taking tylenol.

something is going around this area too...just fevers ....doctor told one parent that it is a bug going around ....nothing major.

tonight my nephew from NY and his twin 15 year olds came for a visit...so 16 of us went out to eat......we stayed a long time but the waitress got some good tips.....always treat them good.

I am so tired tonight..woke up at three thirty and then laid there waiting for hubbys alarm to go off and then waited for him to leave and then waited for the dog to come in bed and then waited for my alarm to go off.......yup one of those nights.....

tomorrow night ..we will go to another wake.....one of our neighbors that moved across town....he husband passed away.....only 53.....sad......his daughter is a year ahead of our granddaughter in college......

Pumba - I hate those sleepless nights. I have them all too often. Usually on a night when Ellie never wakes up to nurse. :headache:

I'm running on empty, that's for sure. Ellie slept with me most of the night. I moved her into the travel crib at some point and she slept there for a bit. Then back with me(thank goodness for nursing, how do you console a sick baby without it??) and then when Chad left for work he moved her to her crib. She is still warm this morning, but not as hot as I thought she would be since her Tylenol is out of her system by now. I have an appointment for her and Kaleb(he hurt his eye yesterday and it still looks bad and hurts him) at 9:45. Unfortunately it's with the biggest jackbutt doctor that ever lived. He is totally against homeschooling and has insulted my sister to her face about her DH being a blue collar worker.

Mommy P-- Hope everything goes well at the doctors. Poor babies. I never nursed but I guess I just held them , rocked them. I really don't remember ever not being able to comfort them though. Nicholas and Hannah were good babies and barely sick. :confused3

Pumba -- I hear you on the sleeping too. Sometimes it is hard to shut off the day.

We are still having great weather here. I need to get out in the gardens.
