Sounds like a nice evening, Nabbie!

From Schwan's, I got beef tamales for my lunches, chicken strips (haven't had them before, but I thought they might be good to keep on hand for dinner), and their version of Drumstick ice cream cones (bad stuff, I know!).

What a shocker that Kim Kardashian is getting divorced already!!! Interesting day to announce that

Well, guess I'd better watch my recording of DWTS. That's all the drama I need for today!

Moo, something about Kim Kardashian, right? I never thought they would last, they just didn't fit together, but 72 days after that huge affair, YIKES! There was discussion today about the etiquette about returning wedding gifts. Just when is the cut-off? And their gifts were very pricey.

I know, Marita! I was kind of wondering the same thing!!! Guess it's a good thing that they didn't really have to pay for that wedding, what with all the sponsorship they had.

Yikes.

I heard she made something like 21 million on the magazine and tv rights

Now why couldn't it have been this nice yesterday for the trick or treaters.

I have my back door open today and was raking up leaves in a t- shirt. This is crazy. Spent the day cleaning up the front flower beds and putting all the Halloween stuff away. I feel like I just put that stuff out there. Probably would have left it out longer but can't count on the weather being this nice for long with placing down there getting snow .....

Everyone but me has a cold in the house. Poor hubby was up all night blowing his nose and trying to get comfortable. Which kept me awake. I am sure after doing all this work today I will be toast tomorrow on little sleep last night.

72 days is not very long for a marriage...an expensive one at that. I feel bad for him. He wants to make it work and didn't even know she was going to file for a divorce. :sad2:

Did you miss me..

We lost power at two am on Sunday Morning...and had nothing...NO HEAT, NO TV ...NO INTERNET........no phone.....I was so cold on Sunday.....we even got into the bed with the dog.then I put on my little black gloves and read the kindle.......I read three books this power outage...Got our power back but still no internet, tv, or phone......we were using our tracfones...SO I was one quiet person..
yesterday Ava and I drew photos, and made letters and played with a dolly and did hair do's..
Last night I had quite a few kiddos come to trick or treat us.......It was great...I love it here...
My neighbor across the street had to have her golden put to sleep this morning.I saw them when they took it out to the car in a blanket with both of them holding an end...She was very sad...I told her what an incredible two years this dog had with them...He was 11 and when the people who owned it before (navy being transferred) they never let it in the house and he was always outside...so our neighbors said that Sam would not like it in Florida.(sorry Marita) so they took it.......he has had a great two years being loved.
Soooooooo Happy November first everyone..

Pumba, yikes on the power loss I would hate that I had it 3 times in 6 weeks in 2004 with the hurricanes

Today was a horrible forecast day, a new sytem that make no sense for the most part

Work was a joy  today, new labor feeds increases hours when drivers went down. So pluggin manually to make it make sense Fun stuf f:eek: . New system that doesnt seem to work too well

So im going to bed now, more fun tomorrow, oh joy!

No ava today either.....yesterday was my day off and today she is still coughing ...she was up all night so the mama called me at six fourty five and told me she is going back to bed.......funny though, I couldnt fall back to sleep..

the sun is out and the temp was 21.....I think that may be a might chilly for me...Megara went out and peed real fast and came back in......

yesterday had to go to the eye doctor for my every six month check up and my pressure was up and something else was not right...so have to go back in four weeks and they started me on a new eye drop....I hate this...I think I am falling apart at the seams........

so hope you all have a great day and I am going to see if I can get my hair done on short notice...
luv ya all

Pumba-- I was thing 21 was pretty good until I forgot that is Ferinheight and not Celius. We are having a beautiful warm day here so maybe it will reach you too. Boo on the eyes and the drops.

I have been out looking for something to wear for our family picture this year. Hannah's dress is fushia and everything out there this year is purple. We wore purple last year. The guys are easy in there suits but I am trying to find something for me. If all fails I'll just wear black.

It is Bring Your Kid to Work Day. Hubby went into work today even though it was his day off. All grade 9 students get to go to either parents work for the day to shadow. This is the day grade 8 students get to visit the high school while all the grade 9 are out.

I am beautifullllllllllll....thank goodness she could take me on such short notice.......dye job and a cut and set.........I love it...

Now about the Schwans man....I used to get "serviced" twice a month and omg my guy was a hunk.....I loved the buffalo wings ...they are good and no carbs to speak of....and the kids loved the corn dogs....They knew when we would run out and I would use Walmarts brand......I also got the ice cream bars...those were so darn good.......and vanilla dixie cups......one was equal to 15 carbs for a snack ..Hey I used to be good.....I loved their peppercorn roast ...that used to melt in my mouth GOOD...they also had some little meals that I could eat and be in the right amount of carbs...their products were so darn good..

well now I am done paying my bills and talking to you guys...I guess I will go and have a 15 carb snack...have a great one friends

Glad you're back and have your power on again, Pumba! Brrrr. My cousin who works for a local power company here in Michigan was sent to New Jersey to help with powerline repairs from that early storm. He gets deployed for that kind of assistance fairly often.

Nabbie - Goog luck with your shopping :) If you find a new outfit, maybe it can do double duty as a cruise outfit!

Marita - Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow with you forecast stuff :headache:

Not much new in my neck of the woods. Glad we're having a bit of warmer weather :goodvibes

W00T to Moo!!! And Nab!

Nothing to report here. I cancelled my vacation for Thanksgiving week (except Thurday and Friday), because Chris won't be coming, waahhh!
But I have a project to work on for the next couple of days, so that's good.
Taking next Friday off. Going for a pedicure this weekend. Now, aren't you alll glad you know that?

Marita-- sorry Chris isn't coming home. It must be hard on him and you being so far away on holidays.

Moo-- :woohoo: Can't wait. I think they will go fast for me because I have so much to do before Christmas.

Usually I start shopping in Sept/October for Christmas presents but havent' even started that, then there will be cookies to be made, at least one Christmas concert in there and other parties. Plus a quick trip over the border. :goodvibes The months for me seem to fly by, my FIL said it was because I am getting old.

After trying on so many things for the last few days I finally found something , it is all black but that is ok. Black is sliming right. Was at a store that had the scratch card when you check out....got 50% of my purchase. :woohoo: And I can use my outfit on the cruise like Moo said.

morning MOOVers...the sun is out...so that is good.....temps are still low in the morning but hopefully it will get up in the 40s or 50s today....that would be what us northerners call as a heat wave...hahaha..

I love a basic black anything.......and yes it does "supposedly" make us look slimer....somehow that word looks like a slime with an r next to it..:lmao:

Hubby took today off and is hunting...Ava is watching Max and Ruby and this is to funny.......she asked ...where is Max and Rubys mom??...so if us adults wonder look at this three year old wondering the same thing.....

My mother in law always said that when fourth of july came ..summer was over...and I found that to be true after I "aged" ...now when kids go to school in September (or august)..its time for the holidays....again cause time seems to fly.....
SO friends....lets grow old together........I am one of the elders here...ROFL..have a good day

Marita - I'm sad to hear that your son will not be visiting for Thanksgiving :sad1: Will he be able to make it home for Christmas??

Nabbie - I'm getting super excited for our cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't feel great yesterday so I took a vacation day and actually ended up watching the Dream sail away on the webcam. I've been watching almost every Sunday the past few weeks too

Yay for finding an outfit for your family pic!!! Maybe you could find a fashion scarf that has some fuchsia in it if it has the right neckline? I'm having SO much fun finding cute scarves to wear this fall/winter :thumbsup2

Pumba - I'm with you on the basic black! More than half my wardrobe is black :goodvibes I think the other half is denim, LOL! Although, I do have some cute, bright sweaters to wear with my black pants and jeans.

I cant't wear black, I look horrible in it! I don't own a single top in black

Moo, DS is coming now maybe January or February :)

I had a horrible forecast week (well, we all did), they started a new labor lorcasting system that was suppoed to be better. WHich would be well and good, if they used the same drivers. The official system said say change of 2000 room night and theirs said 5000 room nights. Well, this does not compute with our explanation files!!! Why is Housekeeping over by $185,000 in labor? So Financial systems had to put together a last minute file so we could upload some plugs to make it look reasonable Which totally defeats the purpose. It will be intersting how this turn out.

DS got instructor of the month again He said he got a certificate and a 5cent frame  I told him I hope he doesnt have to declare it on his tax return.

Khaki and I went washer/dryer counting today. Why? Cause we needed the answer and it was an excuse to get out of the office on a Friday afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am planning on a pedicure tomorrow.

Marita-- counting washer/dryers sounds like a nice easy thing to do on a Friday. Do you have an office right at POR? That is where we will be before the cruise and wonder if we would see you wonder about.

Moo-- Isn't exciting reading trip reports and actually seeing the boat sail out.

I love the way scraves look on people but when I try it just doesn't seem right. Probably should have worn one this time to add colour because there is a heck a lot of black in the picture this year or even wore a white blouse under my black sweater. Then I am standing mostly in the back so you can't see the design on my shirt or the style of it . The pictures turned out already still. It is funny because we get the same guy taking them every year so he knows us and says it must be Christmas. I told him probably only 4 more since Nicholas will be 18 and maybe away from home after that at university. We could take one with just Hannah I teased Nicholas.

It has been so cold the last two morning , really heavy frost too. Had to scrape for the first time this year. But it is sunny so I won't complain too much.

Clocks go back tonight so we get an extra hour sleep....:woohoo:

Nab, yes, my office is right behind the Front desk area at Riverside. I'll pm you and Moo my office number, you can call me it you happen to be in the resort on a weekday I don't usually do too much wandering aroud, though  We had to take a van to count the washer/dryers. For the record, we have 60 washers, 92 dryers and 18 soap machines spread over 6 laundry rooms between FQ and RS.

Nab, I'm sure your picture will still turn out nice. I have never had a knack with scarves either
It's very overcast today, which makes me not want to go out for the pedicure, but I think I might just have to force myself, I will regret it if I dont, and they are closed tomorrow.

Marita - The only weekday we'll be at WDW is January 2. Before, you said you would likely be working forecast even though for most people it is a holiday. Let us know if you really will be at work that day!

Nabbie - I have been enjoying reading the cruise reports! Wish there were more about people being on the Dream, although I have run across a few that had some great photos :) I watched Freedom of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) and the Dream sail away today. It was kind of rainy at the port.

Looking forward to seeing your family Christmas photo!

Scarves really aren't that difficult, especially if you get the oblong ones. Square scarves are a bit trickier. I usually just loop the oblong ones around my neck one time and let the ends hang down. If I get too warm, I just unloop them and let the ends hang down. Once in a while, I'll knot each end and let the ends hang down, but I don't usually tie my scarves.
