Nab, I get to sleep in tomorrow too, taking another day off :)

My only story of the day is this:

I drove to work this morning, and almost at the ramp to the Beach Line I realized I forgot to get gas, not enough to make it work. So I turned around and stopped a this new (to me) gas station near the airport. Started pumping and then looked at the price on the pump $5.49?gallon for regular! :scared1: So I stopped right away and went to the next one, where is was the normal $3.39. The city has been in a legal fight with 2 gas stations near the airport for years now about posting signs of the prices like other stations, and still not happening. I knew were one was, well, I found the second one today.... Luckily I realized it before too much damage was done.

OMG they just said SNOW ....A SNOW STORM.......what is going on...
My sister is traveling to PA and the area she is going to is having 10-12 inches.....we are in the 5 inch range but oh well....this is Maine......

Had a great day today with Ava...we made crepes for breakfast and Ava loved them....She called them fancy pancakes but I kept on telling her that they were crepes.....I made a cake this afternoon while she was snoozing and we had a nice snack..

Hope you all have a great Halloween weekend if I dont see ya

Pumba-- It is cold but hopefully we won't see any snow. :scared1: It was finally sunny today.

Marita-- That was a cute video.

Hope the weather isn't bad for Halloween. I am trying hard not to open the candy that is in the house. Small chocolate bars this year.

Took the kid the movies this afternoon. Hannah and I went and seen Puss and Boots. Hannah loved it , I found it weird , Humpty Dumpty is one of the main characters in it. Hubby and Nicholas went to see Real Steel? The one about a robot. They really like it. They said it was like Rocky.

Nicholas is doing volunteer hours tonight at the church, for the dances he used to go too. They need 40 hours by the end of grade 12 to graduate.

Hubby is working night shift so it is only Hannah and I tonight. Maybe we can find some Halloween shows on.

Moovers, I have a question for you northeners

I just read something about chemical hand/foot warmers I thought that may be a nice present for when hubby has to go out for frost control or DS up in Montana

Any recommendations?

Awww, that was cute, Marita! I would love to go back to Disneyland  Bummer about the yucky weather.

Yes, those chemical handwarmers work pretty well! You can get mittens and socks to put them in!!!

Nabbie - Part of that Real Steel movie was filmed here in Michigan, in a small town about 20 miles from where I live. I asked hubby if he wanted to see it, but he's content to wait until it is out on video. People were pretty excited to have Hugh Jackman in the area.

I didn't buy any Halloween candy since we don't ever get any trick-or-treaters, but I have been getting into the candy bowl at work too much lately. Grrr. I have been back doing kettlebells lately though, so that should help keep reduce the weight gain.

Have you figured out if you're doing a cross border trip this fall? I would love to bring my sister to meet you and your family before the cruise :goodvibes Please keep me posted.

Pumba - We had a really heavy frost this morning :( I am so not ready for snow :sad2:

Moo or others, what is a good brand to get for those warmers? I have no clue.

Hopefully I will make it out for a pedicure tomorrow. Went to the grocery store today and bought stuff for lunch next week (frozen) that I have no rroom for in the freezer. Hope in keeps in the fridge till Monday. The it's first forecast of the year again (oh joy!)

Marita - The warmers I usually see in the store are orange colored. Don't know the brand, but if I'm in the store this weekend, I'll let you know!

Marita-- I would have to look up the name of them too. We don't use them but I see them in stores. I remember when they first came out there was one called Hot Pockets but I'm sure there are more brands out there now.

Moo --we are looking into coming your way Nov 19th maybe. Did have plans for Nov 25 , even had a hotel booked because the kids would be out of school. But we canceled that because it would be your Black Friday...no way we are going then.

I slept in again today , it was lovely. Both kids have their first cold of the season. So I think it will be a day to stay in and rest. Hannah is watching Halloween shows again today so she is content. I'm sure I will catch this cold since they are coughing and sneezng everywhere.

Have to make banana loaf today, have some very ripe bananas in the fruit bowl. Plus it will heat the house up if I turn on the oven.

we get hand warmers for hunting ....as sitting outside from six am to pm after the sun goes down is not my favorite part of hunting...One year Kailtynn (GD) had 8 going...one on her back neck...one in each glove, one in each boot..a few on the front part of her body and a few in the back...she was warm as toast on a 17 degree morning....
We have gotten ours at Walmart, Bj's, Beans, and Cabelas...they work good and are fantastic to keep your body HAPPY..
No name brand that I can remember...but they are in an orange pkging like Moo said..

When my bananas are to ripe and I am not ready to do the banana bread yet...I take off the peeling and put in a zip lock baggie for the freezer.......taken out as needed and boy this works great and no fruit flies hovering ...

Marita...just went to Walmart site and clicked on Hunting..
then hunting accessories and voila...there are the hothands...24.95 for 40 ...not a bad deal really...

Nabbie - I'll see if my sister can join me that day. If not, I'll probably just drive up by myself. I actually just went to Frankenmuth yesterday to do some shopping, but I didn't eat while I was there. I also went shopping at the outlet stores in Birch Run. It's probably a good idea not to visit on Black Friday!

I finally found a pair of gray pants that fit pretty well, but I was mostly shopping for scarves to go with outfits that I already have. I was able to find four scarves that go pretty well with some of my sweaters!

Pumpkins are done. Costume all ready to go. Black and orange day at school check.

They are calling for 30 % chance of rain tomorrow night. And cold but warms up pretty good by Wed. It would terrible if it rained on the kids, especially the little ones. The big one can get wet. This it the first year Nicholas is not going out. He will help with the candy.

Moo-- Hope we can meet your sister. Hopefully nothing goes wrong at this end to cancel. I think we are going to stay in the same area as we did last time. More shopping places. I did see that cool rainbow picture you posted.

Martia -- my freezer is always full too so when I go shopping I have to think can it fit in there. My deep freeze needs a good cleaning out. I think I have a lot of frost burnt popsicles and stuff on the bottom talking up room.

Well I am going to check out House Haunters .... House Hunters ......houses with secrets it says.

Nabbie - My sister should be available! I had her put it on her calendar :)

Hope everyone has a great Halloween tomorrow!!!

Thanks for the confirmation on the orange hand warmers, I'll look for them

I hate Halloween, get up every 5 minutes, grrrrr. Hopefully DD will be here to do that this year. Porch light will be out by 8pm for sure.

Wasnt feeling too great today, so I didnt take a shower tonight, so now I have to do that in the morning, when I am always running way behind anyway. GREAT! Good thing I dont have meetings tomorrow, I think I will let my hair dry and run without curling.

Here is an interesting article about Pete Werner, founder of the Dis. Kind of long, but interesting:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Our school does not allow costumes anymore but the public school does so we some really cute costumes going pass us this morning.

Hannah was dressed in her Halloween t shirt, orange and black strip tights and a black skirt. With the mickey head barrettes in orange and black that Moo gave her. Nicholas could wear a costume today but did not, didn't have to wear his uniform either so he was happy.

He has a football game this afternoon too so probably good think he didn't have a costume and make up on his face.

It is cold now but hopefully well warm up a bit for later.

My lights usually go out at 9:00 , this being a school night it might be earlier. It will be fun getting Hannah to bed tonight.

Happy Halloween!

Nabbie - Glad to hear that Hannah made use of her hair doodads, LOL!

We don't get any trick-or-treaters where we live, Marita, but a few people dressed up at work :goodvibes

The Schwan's guy did stop by tonight, though :rotfl:

The Schwan's guy did stop by tonight, though :rotfl:

The Schwan's guy never services me

I was dreading tonight, I hate getting up every few minutes when I am trying to do things Luckily, hubby took tomorrow off since he figured the noise would keep him up anyway. Plus it rained cats and dogs this morning, it was terrible (getting up and getting to work), and he spent most of the day in the rain and was feeling it

We have a new labor forecasting system. What a joke. It was supposed to roll out in May for testing, nothing till September, end of, the very last minute for the 2012 budget. Then today, we were supposed to get files to check in the morning, nothing. Them by 1pm, nothing. Then by 4 pm, nothing. then by 6 pm, nothing." Oh sorry, it won't be ready till the morning, the team discovered an error"... How much do I believe we will have it tomorrow?:rolleyes1 Meanwhile, we have no labor forecast in the system at all, so I show we saved about 40 million or more, LOL, and there is no easy way to fix it manually in the system. First forecast of the year is always so much fun..........

Well we got 130 kids tonight. The cold didn't scare them away that is for sure.

I do love seeing the little toddlers in princess dresses and dress like animals. So cute. :goodvibes Got lots of zombie types tonight. And girls dress like cats or mice couldn't tell. I did not get one witch weird. Did like the homemade ones , one kid was a dice and another a robot with a box on his head and a red light on top. And of course I got my share of no costume at all but they got candy too, don't want to be egged or something. Or steal my decorations outside.

Hannah only went out for less then a half hour but got plenty. Lots of chips and chocolate bars this year. Very little gum, suckers (usually get a ton of those) rockets and gummy type things. Plus one apple. Which she gave to her dad....

We made caramel apples last night. They turned out so good. They were just for us to eat though.

Marita -- Sounds like you are in for some stressful times at work , take some chocolate with you.

Moo-- We don't have a Schawan guy here. What did you buy?
