Sorry to kill the thread

Now that I'm back to training - I get lost on the community board! I mean some of the threads are really entertaining, and some I cannot stay out of - and before I know it I have to take care of the dogs, the dinner, pick up dd, etc

I've decided I am a rotten person for walking away - and not finishing the 2010 trip report! Life sure got me down, and working with my teenager... I hate to be the "debbie downer" poster, so I walked away... but I miss the connections! I'm looking at my 2010 Dismeets - and I'm not sure I can remember 2 names (and one I follow and she follows me on FB! but I cant remember her Dis name!)

Moo we're staying at BWV Jan 5 - 10, the Donald is on Saturday, Marathon on Sunday. You can make reservations for Big River Grill - google them, get their phone number and call direct! (I also joined their "club" for a discount!) DH is into brewing his own beer - he's going to make a beer I requested - RAZ!! (its an amber beer with a hint of raspberry in it!)

Gal you really do sound fatigued - you need a vacation! ASAP!

Moo did you try to get LeCell? I've been reading Dinner reservations are easier to get than lunch since they went to a 2TS restaurant... which makes me sad, food not as good as it was in 2008!

I missed the segment on WalMart gift cards not getting full value! I think we may still have one laying around too!

Did my longest run today! (I use the term run very loosely - its walking with attitude! )

hey everyone..
First off......no go on the house........we offered then they countered and we went up a little and found out that the new furnace (because there is nothing in the walls for this type) would be 14,000...that and 4 or 5 for new rugs and paint.......naaaaaaaaa........we are on a quest again......sort of sad but know that this is the right thing....

guess what......ITS RAINING AGAIN.....yah whats new on that.

And that poor little boy......he was so darn cute in his photos with his tux on at a wedding .....he was a beautiful little boy and now he is gone .....killed in NH, found in Maine and she was found in Mass......guess she wanted to try out the New England states....although no one here would want her.......sad very very sad.....

Pumba-- sorry about your house but that does sound like a lot of money to spend for a new furance.

Your rain should go away soon too. It was sunny and very humid here today. Suppose to be like this unitl Sunday.

Sandy-- Way to go on keeping up with your fast walking. I really should get back into my nightly walks.

Marita-- Hope your dd finds something to do while she is there, hate to have them drive all the way there for nothing. Well they do get to visit but you know what I mean.

Twinkie-- Glad there is a glimmer of being better. Still praying for a speedy recovery.

It is our long weekend here , very thing will be closed on Monday for Victoria day. Not sure what we are going to do since Hubby has to work on Monday and Nicholas has to be at his job at church on Sunday.

I am still not feeling well anyway. Was so tired after coughing again all night I went back to bed this morning and slept unitl noon.

Pumba - Sorry the house was a bust! I agree with Nab, that is a big investment to get it the way you want it.

Nabbie - Sorry to hear you're still not feeling well! Have you tried taking some extra Vitamin C? That coughing sure can tire you out. I usually resort to a cough suppressant if I have a non-productive cough.

Sandy - We'll have a day of overlap in January - maybe we can get together for a mini-meet?! Good for you on working on your training

Marita - We'll have to see how things go next month. Maybe you could meet up with me and Sandy in January, instead

Went to the grocery store and stocked up on soups in preparation of next weeks toture. Assuming that I will survive the rapture. Oh wait, maybe just ending it all would be better?. It would be good timing.

Marita.......depending on the type of pending doom you are going to experience...Whole milk, vanilla ice cream, some good vanilla and a blender makes good calories and a good fill up.....macaroni with butter slips down good and is soooooo tastey......I like salt and pepper on it too..

The house furnace was going to be that high because there were no heating unit to attach to....so it was from scratch....alot of moola but reasonable when we figured out the rest of the layout of the house...but if they called us today and said do you want it for your first offer we would JUMP ON IT.....hahaha...it was really a good solid house.......whaaaaaaaa....we did some drive bys last night.....this is what we do.....see a house that we would like to look at .......instead of bothering our realtor first ....we do a drive by......and then see if it is something we like the looks of from the outside or the land area too.....

My friends dad was rushed to Mass general yesteday....he was building an outdoor shed and cut off most of his fingers.....they reattached his pointer and the pinky but were unable to do the index or middle finger....they are not sure if they will be able to get use of the two they did reattach.....please say a prayer or a thought for him.........thanks

Pumba the house does sound interesting - maybe they will realize the needs, wonder if they've even had other offers? You never know!

Sad about your friend - will pray the reattachments work, such dangerous work! My uncle lost a finger to machinery - he was so mad at himself... he threw the finger across the way, they couldnt find it, so now he says its a constant reminder of his stupidity!

I''m pretty sure you DON'T want to "survive" rapture. Because that would put you in the category of "left behind" which means you will either need to become saved at the expense of torture and death or go to hell. ;o)

Soooooooo...........the insurance man was coming today at 1:00, and guess what happened? It started to rain! It hasn't rained since te tornadoes came through, but it decides today would be good. He couldn't inspect our roof due to the rain, which I completely undertand. Not a minute after he left, the tornado sirens went off. I turned off the weather radio thinking it would say thunderstorm warning, but to my surprise it said tornado warning! We rushed to our safe spot with dogs, leashes, purse AND shoes. Not once did the news interrupt NASCAR!!! Makes me mad because they have been showing commercials about how 'They are HERE for us'. Um, well you are unless the race is on. SAD!!! I don't think it had an actual tornado, but it was very windy and had some hail.

Hubby got home tonight, good to not be alone in the house anymore, althought i enjoyed me alone time. Just wish I had gotten more stuff done.

Allie goodness gracious this weather is ridiculous! Stay safe, maybe you should store old shoes in the safe shelter? You have too many things to grab!

My dad lived in Joplin Missouri when he was a boy!

Marita save some of that Alfredo for me!! Glad your dh is home safe and sound!

Moo DH wanted to stay at BLT - no availability during Marathon Weekend! Not sure I wanted to stay in a studio with the 3 of us there -

Finished my longest (its not a "run" by any stretch of the imagination!) route! I'm exhausted, and so are the dogs!! So much so that I'm not moving as long as they are settled - it may be 10:00 before I get breakfast!

OH GUESS WHAT>........its raining YES AGAIN......we have not had much of any good weather since we got back from Disney.....I hate it when it is cold and yucky out ......I need to put a sweatshirt on I guess..

got up put the trash out...let my neighbors son come over for breakfast as She is still in Mass with her dad....and daddy had to go to work......so had company for breakfast. Her Dad is recooping from the surgery and the reattachment.......they put two back on and one isnt working ...the other two were to badly mangled to reattach.........it is a painful day for sure......

My dil and son are making plans for Disney trip next year(with the two bumpkins).....OMG I am not ready....just returned and omg I am still exhuasted.....hahaha........well we shall see........I cant do commando like she does......but hubby and I will go back to resort and go for a swim or whatever....no more push push push.....rush rush rush.......NOPE

Pumba -- the sun has to come to you soon. We had a week and a half of that too and now we have sun and humid weather. I finally broke down and put the air on.

That is terrible about you friend. That little girl that lost her finger that they reattached had to be taken off because it wasn't working after all that ordeal. I worked at a chicken place were they used a circular saw to cut the legs of the chicken apart. I was scared to death I would lose a finger myself , good thing I got laid off from that one.

Sandy-- you get an early start to your walking , good for you. I usually am eatting breakfast at 10:00 after I take the kids to school and check on here...I get up at 7:30.

Marita-- I am glad your hubby is home safe and sound too. You will be going out there soon yourself.

Well today is wash day since I was away at my Mom's Saturday, then at hubby's parents place yesterday.

Kids are still off since it is a hoilday here. Maybe I will put them to work cleaning there rooms.....One is still in bed.

Sandy, apparently the cook today was not very generous with portion size, I barely got enough for dinner!

Allie, great the insurance guy finally come. We got 2 roofs from insurance, from hail and from tornados.

Terrible what happed out in Missouri!

I was at a meeting this afternoon that got out at 4:20 instead of 5. Great, right??
HA! Acciddent on the Beachline (road to airport), and I sat and sat and sat. No stop and go traffice, just STOP traffic. Finally a cop came and told us to make U-turns and join the street that was already overflowing with traffic. All told, instead of getting home by 5, I got home at 6:20!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
According to the news, the road was still shut down at 6:30. A woman and her 3 kids were thrown out of the car in a roll-over accident.

Well, tomorrow is the big tooth debacle. Any pixie dust is much appreciated!
