Woke up and danced because there was no snow on the ground like they predicted.

BUT

It starting snowing around 7am and we got several inches. WTH????????

This summer I promise not to complain once how hot it is. I am done with snow, bleh! with a big fat raspberry on top.

BBN: As bad as those names are, I love reading about them. My sister worked for a ob specialist, and she had some doosies too. I'll have to ask her about her top 10 list and report back to you.

So happy for all y'alls trips coming up, all I have is a big dream that maybe we will go back within the next 2-3 years.

Hope the boo boos are better. I did that once Moo. I was working the auto show at a booth for the radio station. We had our very large and extremely heavy sign in front of our table. A listener was leaning on the sign and I was sitting behind the table. She pushed the sign over and it landed on my foot. The tip of my toe was smashed. I refused to let the ER drill a hole through my nail to relieve the pressure, that night I was able to play dr. myself.

MP: Hope the princess is feeling better with her elbow.

Happy Birthday Allie!

Get ready Lynt and Pumba, its coming your way!

I'm getting on late because I had an evening work-related meeting and ended up having to take a big detour on my way home due to some freeway bridge construction. Grrr!!!

Well, I'm happy to report that my toe is healing very nicely. Mony, my whole nail was detached right after the accident, partly because I had rammed my toe into my weight bench during the middle of the night about a week before the hunk of metal fell on it :( I was able to get most of the loose nail trimmed off last night after I soaked it for a while and the lacerated part is all healed up. Now I just have to wait umpteen months for the new nail to grow back :headache: And I'll have to keep a bandaid over it when I want to wear sandals this summer for protection and so it won't look so ugly. I've heard a lot of people say that they just put nail polish on the nail bed, but I don't think I'll be doing that . . .

Mony - I woke up to snow today (but I get up later than you do). Yuck! So glad to hear that you have a bit of a break now that your testing is over!!! :woohoo:

Pumba and MommyP - I'm SO jealous of your upcoming trips! I'd like to squeeze in a short Food & Wine Festival trip this fall coupled with visiting my cousin who lives in Florida, but it's not looking real good.

OR, Nabbie - How would you feel about some company during your Dream cruise??! If I could find someone to travel with me, I'd be very tempted to try to get on the same cruise as your family

Marita - This newest job of yours sounds much more fun than your recent jobs :)

Howdy, Lil G!

Birthday greetings for Allie :flower3:

And salutations to the bbn/Twink/Lynette triumvirate!!! :dance3:

Moo---I would love you to come on the same trip are you kidding!!

Will Mommy P and Pumba be there the same time? I remember meeting them both. Pumba's was a pretty fast meet though.:lmao:

Mony-- you just keep your snow. It is just really cold here. Easter Sunday is not looking good either.....rain

Which reminds me I have to fill those plastic eggs today and put them away so hubby can hide them while we are at my Mom's.

My car also goes in today. My muffler is just barely hanging on. And I am taking the snow tires off today as well so hopefully Spring will come back now and not more snow.

Mony - Ellie's elbow is fine. She was moving it and playing with toys with it 3 minutes after they fixed it. Thank goodness! The funny thing about the whole thing is how quickly Chad made a decision to take her in to the hospital. When the boys had things I was concerned about and wanted them to be seen on a weekend or take them to the hospital he always said they were fine and could wait until Monday. Not with his little girl. She was rushed right in. Thankfully there was only one other person waiting before us. So it was very quick. If it happens again I'll be fixing it myself. ;)

Sorry about your snow. :(

Moo - I've never lost a nail...painting the nail bed doesn't sound great. I mean, you can't exactly use nail polish remover on that..:scared1:

Nab - Would you believe me if I said I don't know what snow tires are?

I remember meeting a few of you guys at the meet at AK.......It was that fast and furious meet ....or hubby was going back without me...ROFL......he thinks all peeps are out to get even with mod's......and SOME ARE......ROFL..

I look and see my little moose looking over my computer desk every day.....well he is sitting below the moose antlers that are for real......nice combo...

Hope you all have a great day...no school this week and my dil and two rug rats are on their way to play with Ava.......then the mama will go to the store to get the bunny supplies......if you catch my drift.......

have a good one

Mommy P -- If Florida needs snow tires we are all in trouble.:lmao: You can drive with all weather tires but I feel safer with ones that won't slide too much on the ice and snow. And will help with the braking in those situations too.

At least I didn't need a new muffler after all , it was the fire sheild coming down. The guy said the blots were striped and instead of buy a whole new shield they tye wraped it up. Didn't cost me anything. Nichlolas wanted to use duct tape if it was the muffler so why not. Free is good.

I get a free oil change and fliter as long as I own the car too. It was a coupon they sent out in the mail with other coupons for Sears etc. when the dealer ship opened we took it in and since we bought the car out after lease , free it is. The guy there said they didn't have many that redeemed the coupon or still have the car. Lucky me.

Moo---I would love you to come on the same trip are you kidding!!
Nabbie - You'd better make sure your hubby concurs before you PM me the dates for your cruise! And I'd have to see if I could find someone to share a room with me!!! None of my family members seem to want to go on a cruise, but I have a retired friend who might be interested . . .

morning everyone..

Its so yucky out.....and the weather person is still saying snow showers and sleet......I hate this time of year to have to see snow......

they also said we probably will have a thunder boomer.....this time i am going to give megara a PILL.....cause my kennel is still at my daughters house....

Last night we went to the store to get my meds......and I was so excited to see FINALLY my eye drops are now generic......I LOVE IT.....these have always been higher then my regular meds......now it is LOW>...I wish my test strips would be cheaper too.....but those arent......the rest of my meds are lowest cost from the store....

Then we went to the ice cream shoppe.........had a plain vanilla in a cone and we sat outside in the truck with the heat turned on......HAHAHA.....that place was mobbed....people waiting in long lines to get a treat..

NOT that I didnt have a couple of half gallons in the freezer.......ROFL..

Hope you all have a great day

we fly out on the 30th......and come home on the 9th.......I am ready to go..

We did end up having the thunder boomer and only one or two rumbles after the first big BOOM......Held onto the dang dog and talked LOUDLY to over do it ..
Then we had sleet....and hail....big balls falling from the sky....Ava thought it was neat of course.....our temps went down to 36 from 45 in twenty minutes or so......weird weather.

MommyP....when are you going to the house of the Mouse.....and did you see the Restaurant.com thingie ......you pay 2 bucks or so for a 25 dollar gc at House of Blues or a few places at the Dolphin.......just a heads up....we have to have a bill of 35 dollars before they deduct the 25 dollars.....enough food to choose there for sure.......I love a deal....ROFL

See ya later gators

Pumba - We arrive on the 7th. I hadn't seen that restaurants.com was doing that deal. We are avoiding restaurants this time though, just because of the stress involved with busy restaurants and 6 kids. One or two of which always have to use the restroom in the middle of dinner, at least twice. :headache:

Speaking of arriving on the 7th. I had it all planned and then Disney changed their hours that day and that ruins everything! We can't check in until 4, but I didn't want to waste a whole day by coming up later in the day. So I had planned for us to get up early and arrive at MK for opening, spend the day and then hit up Publix before getting to bonnet creek to check in. But now the MK is opening at 8 that day. Which is stupid and there is no way we can arrive that early. We would have to leave at 4:45. :scared1: So now I don't know how to spend our first day.

Pumba, I had to laugh at the thought of you eating ice cream in a heated truck. We gave a property tour and I passed right by the ice cream place in the food court as a CM was scooping some strawberry ice cream, and I really wanted some right then, but couldnt. Didn't get any later either.
As we passed building 5, I thought of you wanting a view of the hot tub. I don't know how but any but a very few rooms could have a view of it:confused3

We went pretty much straight from cold winter to a hot summer here, no real spring this year, danggit, so be prepared for HOT.

Today lasted FOREVER!! On top of that, all week I;ve been thinking its a day later than it is. So today I was anxiously awaiting DS's test results for training, only to be reminded it's only Wednesday, sigh.... Maybe the fact that I am taking Friday off has something to do with it.

MP. is an hour difference in opening really going to have that much impact on you?

Marita....
Bld 5 in French Quarter is where we have been the last two years and it is right in front of the hot tub...and to the right is the food court and to the left is the laundrymat and pool area.....Are you thinking of Riverside part????

The SUN is out but omg we went out to go potty (just the dog) and we almost got blown backwards...blue blue blue skies.....it is beautiful out.

Hubby and I were thinking of warmth and fun and not doing a dang thing if we dont want to.......we are ready...(well we do have to pack)...

Then get 25 pkgs of dog food ready, and her thryoid meds, and her bed and blankie......and then 12 treats....always put in more then necessary.....just in case air travel does not cooperate...Megara is laying in her sun beam right now...its funny how doggies wake up after all night sleep and they go potty and then eat and still lay down in the sun beams and sleep.....

My daughters rottie, Dazee...bit into the crazy glue tube and got it on her feet......so daughter spent last night using acetone to get it out of her toes....ding dong dog.....last week she toe toilet paper all over the house....this doggie is on phenabaritol for seizures.....and such a good rotti.she is a crazy dazee dog but so good.......her co partner in crime is a butt ugly Victorian bulldog....he is so ugly but so darn cute.....they blend together well.....

so see ya later gators.

Pumba-- That how we had it last weekend. The wind could take you away and I am no light feather. I like your take on vacation. No rush , do what you want to do. That is what we do on the boat because the kids are doing there thing in the clubs. At WDW we go where they want to go...

Moo-- Hubby would not have any problem with you coming along, you know that he is easy going. Are you getting tired of the two sisters on Biggest Loser as much as I am?

Marita-- hot would be good right now.. I am ready to get rid of my winter coat.

Marita - Leaving an hour earlier from 3 hours away is going to have a huge impact. lol. And we are not the kind of people to arrive at a park an hour after opening. That's just not cool. You are behind the crowds then. We'll probably just have to go to Epcot or Animal Kingdom instead.

It's hard to adjust to crazy busy to having nothing to do, :rolleyes1

Yesterday's headache decided to hang around today.

The sun is out, so that is good.

Moo if I didn't have school I'd go in a heart beat!

I have 2 classes this spring, none for summer, 4 in the fall, and then only 2 left for winter. My smarts keep telling me I should take those two classes in the summer but my heart wants a few weeks off (I'm supposed to stop doing daycare come July and spend some time with my kids before they go back to school)

THEN I can start my 3 student teachings I have to do. The first one is 1/2 day at an elementary school 4 days a week. The other 2 they want me to piggy back, not sure how that will work, but we will see cause I thought one was regular ed and the other was special ed, unless I can do special ed full days which I much rather do.

I'm am concerned that a prof is giving me a B+ in the class. He didn't give us grades on all papers like I thought and he told me I was his best student and said I was earning a B+ possible A- in the class which I totally disagree with. Then I find out another student is getting an A. Huh? Makes no sense, so I wrote an email and have been waiting for grades to be posted and a response.

In my other classes: Inclusion I received 970/1000 pts. =A, Positive Behavior Support 995/1000 pts.=A, and my collabortation class I am expecting an A, but there are still 5 assignments she hasn't posted a grade for. :sad2:

Mony - That sure would be fun to go cruising together! Doggone school!

Nabbie - Please PM me the cruise dates and I'll see if it might be doable! I would definitely need to find someone to share a room with and have sent an e-mail to a retired friend from work to see if she might be interested :goodvibes

I wasn't too disappointed that Ken got sent home this week after he raised such a ruckus with Cara last week! I actually kind of like the sisters  I was glad they got to go on that helicopter trip together, but was afraid that because they showed so much about them that the one sister would end up going home. It's Kaylee who I can't stand. Hope she or Rulon go next week.

Pumba - You're really getting down to the wire!!! Hope you end up getting a GREAT room :)

I sent some Easter bakery treats to my daughter at work this afternoon from a bakery near her office . . . so glad she liked them!!! Sure wish she was coming home for a visit sooner than July, but at least I have that to look forward to

Pumba, I was at Fq, just looked to me like the trees would be in the way to see the hot tub, but what do I know, LOL, you have stayed there, not me.

Nab, temps right now are 88-90. Not quite brutal summer yet, but sure hot enough.

Mony, more classes? I thought you were done??? I dont know how you do it!

Chris passed his instructor exam today. Want to hear his new new job title? (who needs more money if you can have a fancy title?):

ICBM INTERCONTINENTAL BULLISTIC MISSILE COMBAT CREW COMMANDER INSTRUCTOR

Spent an hour this morning combing the grounds of FQ for trash in the bushes. Happy to say it was slim pickings. The place looks great. It's really growing on me as my favorite resort for atmosphere. It felt pretty dead though at 9-10 am during Easter week, I guess people were at MK for EMH by then.

I have tomorrow off, woohoo!!!!!! A pedicure might be in my near future....

That reminds me: MOO, painting nail bed sounds like a BAD idea.

Yeah, Marita - Don't think I'll be painting my nail bed anytime soon, LOL! Like MommyP said, removing the polish would NOT be fun :rolleyes1 At least my toe is feeling pretty good now.

Congrats on Chris' new job title - it sure sounds impressive!!!

I'll definitely keep you in mind for the cruise - I haven't heard back from my friend so far. Not sure if she's suffering sticker shock or just hasn't had a chance to check her e-mail lately! AND, perhaps you could finagle a cast member discount. Always a PLUS :goodvibes

Moo -- I'm sure it is sticker shock... We had that for the New Years eve week. No way we were paying double for that week for the same room.

Marita-- That is some title he's got there. You must be so proud. I will totally agree I love POR . That is the one we always stay at. Stayed at others but like this one the most. We know it and the grounds are beautiful.

Mony-- I am with Marita, I don't know how you keep up with school, day care and watching and taking care of your own household. Saw you were making perogies , that is what we are having tomorrow since we can't have meat on Good Friday and the kids are not fans of fish.

They served tonight and got there feet washed at church, they are serving tomorrow afternoon again. Then we are off to my Mom's on Saturday for Easter. Hubby has to stay home and work night shift all weekend. Plus play Easter bunny. It will be strange not knowing were the eggs are hiding this year. Maybe I can join the hunt...
