Nellie! Not to be a spelling error pointer outer but....

Because the other kids are going to exploit that. Not me though.

Oh that. It is a little something I picked up at math CAMP- always have one glaring spelling, typing, or grammer error per post so the other kids, especially the BOYS feel smart. Duh.

I agree! We/Us girls need to have at least one glaring errer in each post. It's good for morale.

Happy Pancake Day One and All.

Gotta go vote. I still have no idea for whom to vote.

The T in DTD stands for Tiberius. Duh. Or was it Twinkie? a great name for anyone.

Quick quiz. What 2 very popular tv characters had Tiberius for their middle names?

Hi BBN! Thanks!

I think any trip with BBN (aka E, Elisabeth, or babynurse) SHOULD count for college credit. Or hazard pay. Or sumpin'.

For the record, I prefer Junior Mints to Jujyfruit.
They ARE refreshing.

I had forgotton about my Feb. 15th birthday last year! Ha!

Thank you for answering about the initials. I was confused because my initials are LJ. And people used to call me that. Which is odd considering my name is Nellie Oleson. But not as odd as the fact that one of my knickknames at math came was Elisabeth. For real. :rolleyes1
Did you know, Ann-Margret's maiden name was Olesson? Of course, she wasn't on the prairie.
Pancake Day is celebrated on Shrove Tuesday which is the day before Lent.
It is a national holiday in England. IHOP celebrated last year on Feb 20.
Our school eliminated men's soccer last week, and tonight, hundreds marched on the president's house. Bowling Green is a hotbed of soccer, having hosted the national NAIA championship several times. All to save a few bucks, not enough to make a difference most likely. And since most players on partial schollies, it could cost WKU real dollars.

Donald -- I know what your name is then. I thought that is when you told us.

UMA-- I saw that clip before. :rotfl:

Does everyone in the U.S vote today?

I would vote for you Pumba !!! If I could vote that is....:lmao:

Webmaster Alex just said the boards will be down tonight at 11:00 for about 3 hours....

Hi Nab, not everyone, but 20 states do, so it's called Super Tuesday.

I would vote for you too, Pumba, but I can't vote either, since I am still a residient alien. :smokin:

DS had his AF second physical today and got poked and prodded and tons of eyesight testing done. The doctor said, hmmm. this looks very marginal (the eye sight), but then found out DS is not applying as a pilot, so then the Dr. said, Oh, no problem then. WHEW!!!!!!!!! :scared:

So now the next step is the INTERROGATION:scared1: But he should have nothing to fear there, he has a record as white as snow. Then he has be sworn in, and then get a date for Officer Training school (in some order). His recruiter thinks it might be October till he gets to go, but he is new at Officer stuff, I am hoping for June.

In other news, DS found a turtoise (sp) sanctuary in Ft. Myers to drop George off to. I hope that works out. George might actually find a GF there  :lovestruc

The big one is George (and he has grown a lot since then). The little one was Baby George , but he went to better grazing grounds a long time ago.

Mony, Sorry you and the girls are so sick. Hope you all get better real soon!

Allie, a big MOOO HOOTY for 1,700!!!!!!! :cheer2: :dance3: :yay:

In honor of my 1700th post, my DH took me out to a fancy restaurant. :cool2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: Ok, not really, but he did take me and the kids out. We have had a PF Chang's just open up, and it has been freakin' crazy busy. The wait this weekend was 3 HOURS!!:scared1: And people waited! :scared1: :scared1: Anyway, we went early, and figured with it being Super Fat Tuesday, and the prediction of storms we might have a chance to get in. Well, get in we did, and enjoyed ourselves.:thumbsup2 Now I have to go confess on that other thread. :rolleyes1

Evening, MOOvers . . . Finally home from getting a haircut (had to spiff up before my work meeting Thursday night - TG they let my stylist come home from Russia) and picking up Chinese for dinner. Yum. I love PF Chang's food too, Allie :thumbsup2 Belated MOO HOOTY :dance3:

Pumba: I am me. You are you. They are them. And the other they are the others. was that helpful? ha
:rotfl2: Thanks, E - I enjoyed that! And all the other nickname chit chat.

Yayyyyyy!!!!!!!! Huge relief for you

Mony, hope you and your girls feel better soon!

An 18-yr old in our state won the Pancake Race held with our sister city, Olney England, for the Pancake Race today. She was 1 sec faster than the first place finish over the pond.

Steph -- what is a pancake race? I am sure my pancakes don't roll even though they are round.....:lmao:

Moo-- I bet you look beautiful and all spiffed up.

Marita-- Glad George is going to a good home.

Steoh, I second the pancake race question!

Oh I forgot to mention, DS said he saw some of the new uniforms at the base today. He said the camouflage looks more computer generated  and the boots a GREEN!!!!!!! Green boots

Did I mention he has to pay $1,700 for his uniforms? and bring cash!!!!!

can you tell george that we will miss him.......and hope he finds a good family of turtles to play with........whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:sad1:

what if he trys to escape and find his way back to your house.......now that would be a good story to tell.....

good night my friends........and I thnk getting two votes on the moo'ers thread I can be put on the ballot for the big one..:worship:

Pumba -- hope your hubby is feeling better tonight. Hope you don't get the storm they are calling for us tonight. The snow really melted the last two days.

Well, Nabbie, if we get the predicted wintry mix at least curling my hair won't be a lost cause

All this talk of pancakes . . . I haven't had any for ages.

I didn't even get any packzi today. I'm thinking about making a run yet tonight.

That one I do know....it is like a jelly or creme filled donut only heavier. It is like the pancake thing. They have them just before Lent so people use up there staples before they fast.

And oh so yummy....but I didn't get any this year either.

Ding, Ding, Ding! Nab is correct!!!

It is pronounced punch-key by some people, poonch-key by others :rotfl:

They come with many different fillings, but apparently prune filling is traditional (yechhhh)!
