Let me back up a touch before I start on Wednesday. On Tuesday night I told Michael how excited I was that we got to experience something so neat and something that was probably a once in a lifetime event.
So, I told him I was hoping we could make reservations for something else while we were there. Before we made the original reservations for the dessert party, we had considered going to the pirate boat party- where you go out on the lagoon, watch fireworks and then Captain Hook tells you the story of Peter Pan
at least thats how I understood the description.
Anyway- Michael said since we were there for our anniversary we could make another reservationfor the Hoop De Doo Revue. So, I called the front desk and asked if they could make reservations for us
and they did. We had a table for the 815 show, the next evening.
***************************
When we got up Wednesday morning, we packed up and took the luggage out to the car. Then we drove to the main lobby and checked out.
While we were checking out, we got our packet of information on the Hoop Dee Doo Revue and our tickets.
There were LOTS of people there, all checking out. There was one couple who were there who were having some kind of issues with their reservations. The man started yelling- and cussing- at the person behind the desk.
Two managers came out to help and tried to calm the man down
. It was a little scary for a few minutes.
We finally got an open attendee to help us check out. It was painless. We paid our billbecause like I said the husband had charged LOTS of stuff to the room.
Then we got back in the car and drove to Wilderness Lodge.
When we walked in, there was hardly anyone in the lobby.
So, we walked right up to the deskI had all of our paperwork- thanks to our
travel agent- with our numbers and reservations ready to give them.
I gave them all the paperwork they needed
and expected to be given our room keys. Instead the new trainee CM went over and asked for assistance from another CM.
They both worked on the computer
they kept saying this is weird
Ive never seen that before
this is weird. Then the second CM asked me for our magic bands. I told her we didnt have any magic bandswe werent given any because when we checked in it was 2 days before the practice period. She said, that might be a problem.
They asked us to take a seat and they would be right with us. So, we sat and waited for about 10 minutes
the lobby started to fill. It was now just after 11.
So, of course, with free time on my hands
I take pictures.
The water spot in the lobby.
It flows outside
If you turn around from here, youll see the gift shop
or Mercantile.
Where we waited:
After I had walked around a bit, I went back over to where Moose was sitting in the waiting area. He was frustrated that they hadnt given us our room key yet.
So I went back over and asked about how long they thought it would be. They said our reservation was lost and they would have to make a new reservation for us
she said our reservation number is in the system but says there is no room or credit card or anything associated with the numberits just blank. They said they would try to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
I went over and told Moose. He was not happy. (This is QUIET an understatement.)
We had no keys that were valid which meant we also couldnt go to any parks because they were on the cards
.
So, I got my wallet and went over to the pin cart that was in the lobby. No reason to waste perfectly fine pin buying time sitting around doing nothing.
I ended up buying a pin with fireworks and Tinkerbell on it to commemorate our dessert party.
I also bought a two surprise pin
I got two small pins- one is figments head the other is a D with Chip & Dale in it. I also bought a pirate pin for Moose because I knew he wanted one. And I bought more locking pin backs. And I bought a Mickey and Minnie on Main Street pin because it was cute and I also bought a Wilderness Lodge pin. I ended up spending about $75 on pins
and pin accessories! Can you BELIEVE THAT?! OMG!
So went back over to where Moose was sitting
and just as I was putting my pins away, they called us over
. It ended up taking nearly 40 minutes to get our new reservations and cards.
Our room was ready, so we went up to the fourth floor- facing the woods with a Magic Kingdom view
we could see part of Space Mountain and the top of the Castle through the trees.

Thanks for reading along. I've run out of space for pictures. I'll be back later... Moose's mood improves, we have a fun lunch and then take another trip to the Magic Kingdom... and don't forget about our Hoop Dee Doo Revue!
See ya real soon!
