Monsters, bugs, and… Jack Sparrow!? Final Update 7/13!!!!

It was cute and very high energy!

Smores were so good!! I could go for some right now, but I don't know how to make them the same way they made them there. They tasted so much better than regular smores!

Irky we had those last summer when we were at PTC. Josh and I loved them, Aaron not so much. We were telling cousin Sarah how much we liked them and she told us to make them at home just put a graham cracker in a toaster oven for like 5 min. then add a chocolate bar and a few marshmallows on top and turn the broiler on. She siad at that point it just takes a minute or less then just top it with sauce. I never tried it (I make them in the microwave) but I am sure it would work in a regular oven if you do not have a countertop one.

Oh I know, they are sooo much better! I am a smores lover, they would indeed be great to make at home. Maybe I will experiment this summer...:rotfl: yeah right that would require me being good at cooking!!

Oh! I am definitely going to try that. I don't have a convection over and have no idea how to work the broiler, but I am going to figure it out! Maybe this weekend, it will be my project. Think the sauce is just chocolate syrup?

Thanks for the tip! I can't wait to try it! :goodvibes

Haha! That's sort of my problem, too! DBF is the cook in our relationship! I'm going to try Michelle's recipe once I get the supplies. I'll let you know how it works!

I just realized this will be my 1000th post! Woo-Hoo! :woohoo:

DBF said I'm crazy!

(Way off topic, but I was excited!)

:cool1: On the 1000 post. I remember getting excited when I hit that 100th, now I am just wondering if I will one day be one of those with 15-20,000 posts.:rotfl2:

Great updates and photos!!! :goodvibes

Oh no, sounds like way too much time on the buses. When we took the bus from DTD to the Contemporary, it was our longest ride! It is the one time I wished we had a car.

The sky really looks dark in some of those Epcot photos!

I love the panoramic photo, I didn’t think to use the stitch feature at Disney -- until I got home and was looking at photos. :headache:
I realized WS would have been a great place to take one.

The cat is so cute! I think Hannah would like one of those. I am putting that on my shopping list for next time.

Sounds like a fun day at DHS!
I haven’t seen the Block party bash yet. You have some great photos!
The ticket is too funny! :rotfl:
I like the list of reasons they have on there.

Earl of Sandwich and Prime Time sound great. They are both on my list of places I’d like to try.

Congrats on the new house!
And on the 1000th post! :yay:

Thanks!

I liked the ticket, too. I would love that job of handing out those tickets to people! (Although, I'm sure some people don't take it all in fun!)

Earl of Sandwich was so good! I wish they would open one near me!

Irky I think it was just plain chocolate sauce so you should be fine with hershey's syrup.
Congrats on the 1000th post. Lol I have never noticed my post number to be honest but now I'm dying to see what number I am at!:rotfl:
I can not imagine those guys with 15 or 20 THOUSAND posts. Holy crap and I thought I was on here a lot!

LOL this will make 423 and I post approximatly 1.5 posts per day. In case anyone cares. (No, I know they don't but I am actually shocked that it is that high!):lmao:

Hershey's syrup it is, then!

Haha. I never really look a it all that much, but I was talking to DBF about the DIS and he asked me how much I posted. I looked to see and noticed I was close to 1000!

I don't think I have that many (going off some people on here!) but he thinks it's a lot!

Okay....why am I so far behind....I have been saying that for two days on all the TR I am reading! I think I read and forget to post!:headache:

Okay...Wow...did you get way too much time rding the busses...I have to say I never took the bus from one park to the other, so I never had that happen. We only went from Pop to the park we were heading to...I think that is why we had good timing. I am worried about our trip this summer, staying at ASMu...we shall see.

Ugh...Thanks for sharing all the great pics from BPB! We totally missed it! Not sure why...I will do much better this trip!!!!

Okay...here is my version of Batch smores (that's what we call stuff we threw in a pot to make something when we weren't married!;) )

Take a Graham cracker pie shell...line the bottom with chocolate of some sort...Hershey kisses work well here. Cover with large marshmallows...put in oven at 300-352 for a few minutes...just watch it...marshmallows will brown and then it's done...don't even try to slice it...just grab a fork and eat! Don't know how that compares to PT...but it is easy and good!!!!:thumbsup2

I do the same thing! I read and then get sidetracked somehow and never post!

Ohhh...that recipe looks good, too! (And I don't have to learn how to work the broiler!) I'm going to try these when I get to the grocery store! Thanks!

I can't wait to hear how it comes out!! Maybe if it's good I will be brave and try it too! Good luck!

I don't have an update yet (I have a foot high stack of papers to grade as well as 60 timeline projects! :scared1: ) but I did tryout Moonks Mom's Smores "recipe" and they were sooooo good! :thumbsup2

I thought I'd post a picture!

It even was in a Mickey shape! DBF loved them, also!

Thanks so much for sharing! I never would have thought to throw all the stuff in a pie crust!

I still have to try yours Michelle, but I'm still scared of the broiler!! ;)

New update soon!

:rotfl: I'm scared of the broiler also. I have a receipe for pork I have always wanted to try, bought all the spices and then realized it required the broiler and freaked out.

Those Smores look fantastic. Might have to try that, actually since you posted them I have been thinking about 50's Primetime.

It's good having you back on the Dis!

Hey that smores mini pie looks awesome irky! I would just stick with that if it works for you! Why mess with perfection right? I am thinking I will try that recipe too because it sounds so easy (and yummy!)

Haha! I'm glad I'm not alone on that.

I missed the DIS!

That looks delicious! Yum, good job!! :)

Thanks! It was good!

It was really easy and very tasty! If I can get someone to show me how to use the broiler, I am going to try yours!

Those s'mores look delish, where did you get the mini pie crusts?

They were really good! I found them in the grocery store with the Jello and other pie stuff!

I should be back to updating some time this week. I seriously had about 130 copies of about 10 different papers to grade and I still haven't touched all the timeline projects. I got the papers graded and now just have to enter them in the computer.

Hi there. It looks from your report that you got to Hollywood Studios right when it opened, went pretty quickly to Toy Story Mania, and yet your fastpasses didn't have you return until after 1:00?? So - I'm guessing going straight to Toy Story is required?!
