Monorail Speed

Does anyone know the speed of the monorail? I was on the express monorail from tje MK to TTC and it was flying. Seemed like it was going faster than normal.

They say the max speed is 40 MPH.

From what I read the top speed is 40-45 but a creative pilot might be able to coax a little more out of it on a downhill section.
The beam, particularly from TTC to Epcot, seems to be getting a little rough in spots. That can make it feel faster!
