Hi there!

I have a trip coming up in June and have a lot planned to the point where I have no day to wing anything. For one of our days my boyfriend and I are planning to do an early day at Universal and then catch our reservations at Be Our Guest in MK at 9PM. We are planning on going to Universal as soon as the park opens at 9AM and trying to leave at 4 or earlier if we can.

I would like to be able to do the Monorail Crawl but don't know if I would have enough time to do it. If we got to the first resort around 5PM and wanted to finish up around 8PM is that doable or will we be speeding through it? I'd like to be able to not just have a drink at each hotel but also look around and explore. Is an hour per hotel too little? Also I know that some of the resorts have more than one bar like the Contemporary has the Outer Rim and the Wave. Which one is better?

If anything I have another day where well have a bit of a break so maybe I can do 2 hotels one time and one hotel the other.

Any feedback and advice is appreciated! :drinking1

Thanks!

i think that will leave you a little short on time since you want to explore, as well, but that you should do it anyway. if you only make it to two of the three hotels, no big deal. my favorite of the three is the GF because of the live music. so, my advice would be that if you are running out of time, at least make a quick stop at the GF for a drink at mizner's and at least take a few minutes to sit and listen to the music.

I agree on the getting the drinks to go, but any time spent at those three having a drink and browsing is better than none at all. I would just pick two resorts on that day, thinking Lapu Lapu at Tamboo to start the night, then head to GF and Mizner's. Since you said you have another night, then I would hit the CR spots that night and take a boat to WL for a relaxing drink at Territory Lounge. Also, if it is a nice evening, don't forget about the pool bars. The atmosphere around the pools, especially the one at WL is a great way to enjoy a few minutes and a drink.

What exactly is the monorail crawl?

Hop on the monorail.
Get off at one of the monorail resorts.
Grab a drink and look around, shop, explore.
Hop back on the monorail.
Get off at a different monorail resort.
Grab a drink and look around, shop, explore.
Repeat the above for the last monorail resort.

:thumbsup2

How many bars are there in each resort?

I tried to have a drink in each country in Epcot one year. I started in Mexico, had several in Germany and almost made it to Canada.

We are staying at the poly in 2 weeks so this sounds like something I would like to do! It would be nice to add in WL as well!
