Monday in MK?

Everyone has been so kind and helpful on these boards in planning our trip, I wondered if I might ask just one more question-we are going in early May, and while it would be easier to go to the MK on Monday, I have heard that is usually a very crowded day. Are the crowds smaller enough on Tuesday to make it worthwhile to wait until then? many thanks for any thoughts and my appreciation for all the wonderful advice from these boards!

From everything I've read most people start their vacation at Disney with MK, then Epcot, then MGM and AK last. Why? Perhaps because the parks were built in that order and people think of them that way? Who knows but the MK is nearly always most crowded on Mondays and Saturdays. Are you onsite? The extra hour for onsite guests is Thurs but who can wait til Thurs for MK if you start your vacation on Monday? LOL. I would venture to guess that Tues is better and Wed is even better than Tues. If you go on Mon, be sure to arrive 15 min before actual opening to hopefully get a head start on the masses.

we usually do MK on Mondays too. Since we almost always arrive on a Sunday, we hit MK that Monday morning. I've tried to get DH to wait until later in the week for a less crowded day or early entry, but on this point he's adament. The very first thing he wants to see in a park is the castle. Otherwise, it doesn't feel like a Disney vacation to him. We usually stay the morning and then hop elsewhere after lunch.

We used to always to the MK on a Sunday, Sunday mornings were nenver very crowded. Now that Sunday is early entry morning for the MK, I am wondering how this affects the crowds in the MK? Has anyone been there on a Sunday and noticed any differences?

mryder , we are planning on doing the same. Maybe someone will help us out with a little insight on the crowds at MK on Sundays

I was also planning on going Mon. because Sun has EE and Sat is always supposed to be crowded. Now Mon. is always supposed to be crowded to?! Does anybody else have an opinion which day is least crowded Sat, Sun, or Mon.?

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that Sunday would be the quietest of the three you mentioned. As most people are travelling on Sunday, if you could be there for opening or as near to it as possible, you'd probably find it less crowded than the other EMH days. We used to love doing MK on Sundays as it was always so quiet, especially in the morning, but now we make Wednesday our main MK day.
