This may be the wrong board for this post, but not sure.

I am going to DW Mon-Mon in early December. It just occured to me that this may really affect my ability to get the ADRs I want and those checking in Saturday and Sunday are going to scoop them all up before I even have a chance to try. :worried: We have to go Mon-Mon as we are going for my daughter's birthday and can't change our dates.

:confused3 I'm not sure why you think your day of arrival makes any difference as to your ability to get an ADR. No matter when you arrive, there will be people arriving a day, or several days, before you. In other words, their 180 booking day will be before yours. It makes no real difference in your odds of getting any particular ADR. What are the chances that all of those people are booking the same restaurants for the same time on the same day as you?

Because of 180 days plus 10. Most people vacation Sat-Sat or Sun-Sun. Therefore, those checking in a day or two before us can book their entire week two days before I can. Hence, the hard to get ADRs for my week will already be "taken" before my window opens 2 days later than the "normal" vacation week.

And by the same token, those Sat/Sun arrivers might have been impacted by all of the people who had booked ADRs just before their booking window opened. And people arriving a couple of days after you will be impacted by your ADR bookings. In the grand scheme of things, availability will be impacted by other factors than day of the week. If you want a hard to get ADR, book them on your LAST days to maximize your chance of success.

I freq do check in on Tues, Wed, Thurs and have never had issue getting what I want when I want. I also check out and fly home on Mon a lot
