Fran & Alison I don't have you in the "Mickey" group, but I do have the "DISboards" list that I post "elsewhere" so its more convenient for everyone whom is on both lists. We just started the "Minnie" list now that the "Mickey" list is full "elsewhere" yesterday. If you're on several lists you still only Gift one time to a cabin. So If you see me on 3 lists you exchange only once. Otherwise I'd go pure crazy trying to find enough things to give. So for my family we are upto 60 people with the overlap in the 2 lists.

Right now I'm upto 1.5 suitcases of FE's. My dad is making a cabin gift, I'm making a cabin gift and my mom is not sure what she's doing but she will also be making a cabin gift. So everyone that has us gets 3 cabin gifts, last year my daughter worked hard to made a cabin gift also, but she was a little disappointed when she got several children's items in return so this year she decided she just didn't have the spirit to participate. I bought her Marie cup and a DCL fleece blanket that I'm going to hide in my luggage to slip into her FE this year though to bolster her love of FE.

There was a group started elsewhere back in April of 2015, I kept watching to see if anything would start on DISboards and you started this group in Aug. When you started I had no way of talking to you because you had less than 10 posts since you were new to DISboards. Most of your group was pretty new to Disboards so things got rolling I didn't want to steal people away and thought I could toggle between both to provide a link between the two without moving the group. Everybody is welcome to toggle with the 4 families that currently do so in both groups. I still get answers to my questions in the general forum so I also like and use both myself.

Those whom were interested in the Harv and Marv adventure in Juneau can still contacted me and we have enough now to start a second boat if anyone wanted to join that.

Also for a mixology I've been in contact DCL and we would need to combine both groups otherwise we will never have enough to even make one group. So far we have the totals below:

Its easier for me to post lists in the "elsewhere" group. I've wanted/tried to post the same lists here but can't find a way that works with my phone. I also hope to have a FE map made of the ship to make it easier for delivery.

Thanks for clarifying. I got caught up with a dual FE group situation on my October Wonder cruise. I joined the other one and then headed up the FE on the DIS. That was too much. I was just glad we were driving to the port and not flying.

That's what I was concerned about, running 2 lists would be too hard for me. So I never started one here.

Wish we could send FE's to the port like I did in Florida. I must fly from Wisconsin its 2 days travel by car otherwise. So instead I'm sending to the Sylvia Hotel this time, I spoke with the manager and he will hold it for me. He asked that I not send too many. I told him about a suite case worth. He said 3' x 4' box would be fine.

I hate that for her. I always do some same and some different gifts for adults and kids. Never anything childish for adults though.

And I applaud you for keeping up with 2 lists and 60 people! That's awesome!!
 
Just booked our first Alaskan cruise (fourth Disney cruise)! We are in two rooms (actual rooms to be decided, we are OV guaranteed). DH and I, and our three girls 18 ( recent HS graduate and future Tulane student) 15 (avid equestrian) and 13 (geek girl and hunter)

Girls have no idea about the trip, will be playing a guessing game tonight

As for what people do for gifts varies. You can do any day of the cruise.
Some bring multiple gifts and some bring just 1.
It's really up to you and what you would like to do.
I tend to do a few things for the adults and a little more for the kids.

We have been adding favorite color and character to the list to help others if they need ideas.
I think you all should be ok to get port adventures. They have many of the same ones in each port.
We like to walk around each port and shop and see the town.

Juneau Alaska's Harv & Marv's 3 hour tour's recommended on every cruise site. I've never taken tours outside of Disney adventures. But everywhere I look people are talking about them.

So far we're up-to 17 people in two boats. We can fit up to 30 people. One boat fits up-to 18 people. Everyone pays the tour company directly. :) Discount below is because we are a private group.
The boats are getting reserved quite quickly now and we need to speak up if we need more. Please get an invoice now to save your place. Mention you are with Karyne's Disney group. Contact me so we can get your email address for an invoice sent to you.

Since we are a private tour Children May Go. They will have families in a boat that has life vests that will fit them. Those that only have adults or teens that fit adult vests will go into the other boat.

This 3hr tour is for larger groups who would like the boat all to themselves.
1 to 10 passengers the price is $1410.00 plus 5% sales tax then a charge of $125 + 5% sales tax for each additional guest upto 18 people. We pay half upfront and the final payment should be less than our first. (We have met the additional group discount of 10+ people).

The advantage to this tour:
Just your group, the captain and naturalist on board the boat, the tour can and will be customized to your desires.

Platters of cheese,or vegetables, or fruit are available at $25 each. Are you celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion? We can add a special occasion cake, a bottle of wine, sparkling cider, or a special meal.

I had trouble getting PAT. That took about 7hrs. Did you have any questions about availability of Palo or any port adventures?
 
Seven hours, oh goodness! Since it's our first I guess I'll just be trying to get the earliest PAT I can get. We have two rooms (even though only one listed on FE list) so it sounds like I have to check in for both (might try the desktop on one and the laptop on the other). Hopefully that's not too much of a pain.

For Palo, if I could just have anything I wanted it would probably be dinner on Tracy Arm day - not sure if I'm delirious thinking that could actually happen. We would really be happy to just experience Palo on any day brunch or dinner.

In Skagway, I think we're going to book a non-Disney excursion. Need to get on that! In Juneau, I THINK I've actually convinced DH that we need try the helicopter dogsled thing - either on Norris or Mendenhall. Do you notice if those are still available? They are so expensive I can't imagine it would fill up, but I have heard that it's popular and there's not a ton of spots. In Ketchikan we're thinking about the "Exclusive Flightseeing and Crab Feast".

What all did you decide on?

I need to find an appropriate zipline opportunity for a 73-year-old man, dainty 16-year-old girl and my un-athletic self.

I don't know about Tracy Arm day, but for whatever reason, when I booked my excursions almost a month ago, my dinner at Palo didn't go through. I just booked it on Wednesday this week. I booked for the Skagway day and every slot was open. Not sure about the other days or brunch, but it doesn't seem too full.
